Hi, i was trying to install a custom rom but when i installed the BASEBAND 54 X10i of this thread HERE
Can anyone explain me how to do it well ?
Thnx.
think that the ;last baseband is bugged, I've seen my phone losing signal even more times than before
i think, maybe some basebands work better in certain regions and certain carriers. different signal, different bands and strengths.. not truly sure, but it makes since why some areas get specific updates while some do not..??

You're right... I flashed a dumped baseband version from my cousin's Vibrant to mine, and it fixed the issues.
If your after a guide of how to flash iv got just the thing in my sig, click the link ;-)

Posted about this before, but issue was never resolved. Using a telstra Leo on vodafone nz, getting VERY bad service. Almost always using g instead of 3g, and dropping very often, that is, when it actually gets service, which is barely ever when I'm not right next to a tower. Please help.

try changing your radio??
look under settings/about phone/software version/radio, try a diferent compatible one for your device.
this can also be related to the kernel so u can try different kernel

So I bought this phone about a week ago, and have noticed something rather odd...the signal is never locked, it is either emergency calls only or mobile network not available or it does work...but when it does work it lasts for like 3 minutes... I live in Honduras and don't know what the issue might be.. I used to have a captivate and had the best signal one can ask for...any help?

Try flashing a different modem. Check siky_dudes thread in dev section.
silkys thread is only for cm7/cm9/miui modems!

It'll not help to flash another rom or modem! I had the same problem, tried almost every modem/rom but couldn't solve it. I think one out of 100000 i9000's has signal problems.
I don't recommend to do this;
I used to solve it by plugging in an isolated copper wire into the coaxial input on the back of the device. Here's a link to the thread I started with two videos.

Dude, give that thing back if you can!! Nothing will help! You can do whatever you want, but you'll never achive more than 7-15% more signal and that's nothing relevant!!

First of all you should determine what might have caused the error.
Signal problems can be caused by hardware, software or network provider:
- If the problem occurred after a software update (which is usually change the modem driver) You should flash back the old modem
- If you didn't update or change firmware or the modem it can be a hardware issue (dropped phone, water damage etc.) If you don't experience hw you wouldn't disassemble.Give it to someone who has experience in this topic.
- Sometimes signal problem can be cause by the network provider (network error or upgrade) It is usually temporary problem you have to wait and get good signal few hours/days later.
I hope I helped in the first step to get to the final solution.
Hi together,
i hope somebody can help me?
I have the problem, that i didn't have 3G-reception with my sony ericcson ARC.
When i maintain in the adjustment "only GSM" everything works. (Reception for telephoning and also datarecption (EDGE)). When i switch to "WCDMA" or "GSM or WCDMA" i have no reception (no telephoning and also no data). When i use my simcard with an other mobile (at the same location) everything works great. So i think it must be a problem from my mobile.
The problem exists since 4 days. I've reseted the mobile already to factory adjustment but that didn't solved the problem.
Data from the mobile:
Sony Ericcson ARC
A-Version: 4.0.3
....and sorry for bad english
Best regards
Tom
Ideas?
Hi everybody,
no ideas what the problem could be?
I am still helpless

it starts 2 weeks ago, i was in germany for a few hours (with the mobile) .. when i came back i wasn't able to connect to my home-band (3G). Then i switched to "only GSM" .. that works. I flashed my mobile since there a few times with different android versions ... sadly the problem is still existing.
Maybe any ideas to help me ??

I have 2 batteries. One gave me overheats, even though the battery itself is not bulged.
One totally no issues at all.
Same phone, same ROM, same setup, same etc.
You can give it a try. But then again, I might be wrong.
Technical issues can arises from a lot of factors anyway.
I will try, thank you so much for your reply

Try the old modem, the one you didn't have any issues. Otherwise it's samsung's crappy update.
Can i go back to that modem?? No risk?? I changed the csc, changed the sim, changed the carrier, changed 3 batteries... still blowing fire, 80c om the cpu... many times when i use my data plan

The only risk is signal issues.
So because of the modem i have the heating problems??

It may also the update.
What?

I may also be related to the lollipop update. Since you did mention that it didn't happen on kitkat. It only started happening since moving to lollipop. So it may also be the update. Go back to kitkat or change to a custom rom and see if it helps.
I tried all, just all custom roms with lolli
