Trinity - black or white?

A seemingly trivial question I know, but which is best the black or the white - in regards to fingerprints, showing the dirt, general wear and tear etc.? - your opinions please

by the way the black one has some problem about the paint of the case. it seems that in a few weeks it goes away!

Thanks gerazzo, I've heard that too about the black ones - but I've got the dilemma that I prefer the black ones to the white ones, but the white ones do seem to be a bit more practical!

I had the black one first and after 12 hours of use it started to peel. So, now i have the white one which doesnt show any sign of peeling - BUT it is white, which i dont really like.
If you can live with the white color then go with the white one and you wont (probably) have the headache of paint problems.
Either way, most importantly the P3600 is a great device and you will enjoy the functionality regardless of the color of the casing.

Had three (3) Trinities now: Go for white. There is no peeling at all and fingerprints are nearly invisible. Only drawback: Others might think you have an Apple device

White! Just design a cool home screen.
I handled both for 5 minutes. A Black Trinity is like a black car, it looks great IF its clean but looks terrible when its dirty. After 5 minutes the finger prints bugged me.
Could just be my OCD self!

Well thanks guys, it sounds like I should go for the white one then - although I can't stand them in white! Why is nothing straight forward? Ho Hum.

You get the white in UK, FR, Switzerland and so on. Only Germany, only black. Thats funny
No I think to buy one in UK, better pay more and have more risk instead get a black one with peeling.....
Oh a funny story beside: I ask an shop in Switzerland about the white one. The have but they said "No delivery to germany, come to Zurich and take one there" What????

Solid black or steel silver

As most of you certainly know, the X1 comes in two variants: "steel silver" and "solid black".
My question: Is the only difference between these two housings the color or is the black variants' top cover made of plastics instead of metal?
From an optical point of view, I like the black variant more, but if it should turn out that it's made of plastics, I'd rather go for the silver one.
Unfortunately Amazon.de currently has only the black variant listed, but this might hopefully change when it's really available.

I'm pretty much sure that both are metal...

I'm pretty certain that the Black is metal construction also - black all the way for me! I'm a whore for black stuff, black phones just always look better to me...

Ok... so now i am really confused. I LOVE black... always have. But on the xperia - after looking at pictures and all, the silver one looks better - sexier.
Maybe it is because of the silver keyboard? (On the black one, they should have had a black keyboard as well - the silver one gives it a mixed feeling)

I do find the Silver one more attractive than I thought, and I think the keypad still being silver on the Black one is what does it. Black is still better, just not as much as I would have expected ;]

Good to know that there's someone else sharing that feeling...
Since it'll take ages for this mobile to hit market here in Pakistan, i would most likely be getting it delivered from an online store from another country - thus will most likely be unable to hold both colors in hand and chose then.

An hour back, i had pretty much made up my mind about the silver. But now i'm confused again...
I'll most likely go for the black one in the end.
As for where i'll order it from. www.beliscity.com is a Pakistani store that brings stuff here before its available in the market. (they were the first ones to offer iPhone 3G). However, considering they don't bring it soon, i am going to try and see if i can get it from www.expansys.com (any one of their sites) and have it delivered here.
If either is too much, my brother might have a training in Dubai by the mid of October. So i'll ask him.
One way or the other... i'm going to try and get it as soon as possible...
What about you? i think you might have similar options such as expansys?

My best bet would be Expansys - Greece, as its a neighbouring country...
Or i'll wait and see what the local internet stores are going to come up with.

Where are my Black on Black MT4G users?

We see a couple threads on who has which colors, but see none about the Black one. Not a bashing thread to say black is better than the other colors (we're a big MT4G family). Just who has black and why picked over the other colors? In my own opinion black just looks sleek and official. I love the other colors they look nice but I just look at them as playful/kid colors (agian.. my opinion only). MT4G isn't really concidered as a business phone as much as a Blackberry would be, but it gives it that business type feel and look... Your turn...

I have a black one. The red one looked nice too but I like more understatements.... Plum and White looked too tacky for me

I picked the black. When I checked out the other color demo phones I noticed that the hard rubber is painted, not fully stained and black underneath the color layer. Some of the red and plum models had scratches that showed the black coming through. I figured with a black to start with scratches won't show as much.
I guess I could have bought a case to make sure I never get any scratches but what would have been the point of getting a colored one if it's covered by a case anyway, right?

Great. Now I'm re-thinking my decision to go with white again. Curse you. Curse you all!

Have you ever thought that clients might look favorably on a white/metal/black one? Perhaps they may even be more apt to *remember* you. They may even consider you an out-of-the-box kind of guy, perhaps even ever so slightly fashion forward *shudder*.
Is it really the case that everyone in the business community carry around black phones (even in LA)? I see this raised now and then and I just kind of cringe.

I think that the Black on Black color was the best because it looked the most uniform.

I picked the black because I think it looks a bit sleeker. Would have loved to seen a silver/yellow color combo. Not to change the subject but what class sdcard did your blacks come with. Mine is class 2.

Hate white, plus hated the tri-color scheme on the white. Loved the red and the plum equally. Was going to go for the plum, but hubby surprised me and ordered the black.
Now that I look at it and played with it for 2 days, I really like the black. I think it looks classier.

I don't know. The first thing what I did when getting the phone was switching the SD card from 8 to 16 GB class 6.

Black phone to go with the black battery cover. Makes no sense that they wouldn't color match with the others, you get the black back no matter what. Still, aside from the Nexus, every phone I've had in the past 5 years have been black.
And mine came with a class 4 card.

I got the black one cause that's all the store I went to had lol. Seriously though I thought about the red one but I some times put a case on it so what would be the point of a colored phone plus the whole scratches thing that someone mentioned earlier. And the white looked kinda cheap and plasticy just my opinion though.

I honestly dont see a lot of colored phones through out my day but ive never really tallied up the numbers lol... its just my personal opinion :/

Yup, i wanted white cause i thought it would be pimp like the white EVO but when i noticed it was half white, half black, and the battery cover was silver, i couldnt stand the thought of owning it.
I just ordered my black one because it was 50/50 white/black for me.

Black on black was the most classiest one. If they had an all white MT4G...

I wanted black/red. But went with white because of the case they ad available for it. The Flex Protect one, with the grey gel insert, and the white protective hard case. I thought the piano finish on the white was nice. And, after going back and looking at them again, only the black woul dmake me change my mind now.
If only they had a flex case in black...

I got the black one because it was the only one that was available at Costco. It's cool though, the Black MT4G looks pretty classy.

I bought the black one because I purchased the white mytouch3g because it was the only color at the time and always wanted the black one.
Very happy! It looks professional and I wouldn't go with any other color.

I got the black because it matches the theme of my truck lol

I ordered the white one of that helps

The blue is more like black.
Anyway, I prefer black simply because the screen has very hight contrast and deep black colour. I can't even tell the difference between black screen and the black bezel, which is great for watching videos or work with black background apps. I'd think the deep black screen and white bezel will not go well together as all black screen and bezel.

my 2 cents..
I think all of us are going to keep our Note in some kind of case, let it be a leather case or and hard protective case.
That being said we would hardly see the body of the Note anyways..

I had the same dilemma. I thought the White looks cool but was worried that it will look dirty easier with scratches and such.
I ended up with the Black due to Timing and Price. Plus...my wife told me she thinks White is for the ladies

White one looks way better than the dark blue. Anyone saying its for the ladies is probably insecure about their masculinity.

On the blue one is it just the back thats blue? All the pics i see look like the front bezal is black.

The font of the phone and underneath the battery cover is black, it's just the battery cover is very very dark blue, basic black at first glance.

Will white phones discolor easily? I'm sure we've all seen white plastic things that have turned yellow.

Not unless you're touching it with curry on your hands or you're a smoker. None of my white electronics have ever discolored.

lol....It's my wife that said it, not me....I think it looks nice and elegant...

I got black or whatever blue one. Total sleekness. I hate the white one with all those sensor holes showing. Plain and simple look is the best for me in my own pinion. You will not regret buying the black one but may regret buying a white one.....

Yep, it's nice. It comes for free with the Note here in HK.
However, the brown case to my mind looks so much nicer.

White vs. Black

Hey guys, I am struggling to decide on which color to import. I have traditionally always had black phones, but the white body in screenshots at least looks really good.
Are there any advantages/disadvantages to going white vs. black with the Z3c?

I've always had black phones too. I bought a used white moto x a couple months back. I love it more and more every day. I definitely getting the white z3c. The black one just looks boring.

I went for the white one. Have had several black phones and wanted a change. Would have done the red / orange model but the black bezel looks tacky to me.

I did white too. Should shoe fewer fingerprints than black.

I went for Black - looks more professional. I like keeping my phones in cases anyway though

I went for black, never had a white phone, although I do have a niggling feeling perhaps I should have tried white, it does look good.

I ordered the white one. I changed it to the red one awhile later. I saw a video of the black one and it looks really classy to me so I changed my order to black :laugh:

I originally wanted the mandarin red, then saw some videos of the mint green and thought that would be really cool, but unfortunately, the green won't be available unlocked for some time yet. After hearing more testimonials about the red and how brilliant it was, I'm convinced it's the right choice. Basically, I wanted anything other than black and white because as safe, classy, and sleek as those choices are, I find them to be rather bland. If I had to choose though, I'd go with white, only because most of my devices have always been black and I wanted something different.

I had a Z1c in black for quite sometimes and bought my brother the Z1c in white and gotta say the white does looks really good. But currently can not really say much about the z3c as it is not available yet in Australia. The best way would have to go and look for yourself which one would suit your taste better. But i would say the white looks good on picture. The only that might be a concern that is the seal around the screen is white as well, just do not know would it be stain over time

TBH I don't get your question at all, since it's purely opinion based.
If there would be a technical difference based on the color, most people would get the color that had the technical upper hand.
You don't ask your friends either if you should have a blonde/brunette girlfriend/boyfriend, since it's all just based on taste.:angel:

You are absolutely right but you have to understand that we are all really excited about this phone and we just discuss all kinds of bul**** about it until the delivery agent rings the doorbell and leaves the white box in our hands...

confused i am using the hox white, and looks really cool. Perhaps i might try the black this time, It will also match with my sony xb90ex earphones

I prefer black because I don't like how the sensor cutout, speaker, and camera lens standout on white.
If I could get black front and white back like my Dev moto x, that would be awesome. I guess I can still do that with a white skin for the back.

Not necessarily. White will show less fingerprints, but might discolor over time. There are a few objective traits each color exhibit, and since I feel torn between the two aesthetically, I wanted to discuss some objective reasons one color might benefit over the other.

The white is covered in glass on both sides so why would it discolor?

it won`t.
At least it didn`t on my white Z.

I think another disadvantage of a white one would be the white front panel making the display appear darker, I think in sunny weather the white could actually "blind" you a little, making the screen a tad more difficult to read.

I've occasionally had overheating problems with sunlight coming in through a car window. White might be helpful.
