Removing files via CWM - Fascinate General

I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask but is there a way using a CWM zip file to delete files? I'd like to rename or delete the shutdown sound ogg files as part of a zip file that I use for restoring missing apps. Any SUGGESTIONS?
Thanks in advance.

Help please

So I deleted mynet.apk and weatherwidget.apk now I downloaded them to my SD card used and app call ghost commander to copy them the /system/app folder where they are supposed to be except when I go to the folder to find them they are labors as odex files not apk and when I try to rename them it doesn't do anything they still remain odex files. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Replacing/installing sys apps requires a reboot to recognize. I think having the odex file there means you don't have to install/extract the app & then change the permissions & reboot.
& to be able to modify sys files/folders you need root explorer.apk from mkt & within it you mount as r/w

[Q]Delete XBass, Beats Audio and Bravia Engine?

How do I delete the above mods without having to restore to an older backup or flash a new ROM?
I am well versed with the android system and if you tell me to shell rm or delete using root explorer I can... Also I figured out that a few files were replaced while flashing these mods... so any help would be appreciated....
What u can do is unzip the files and see where they are being placed and then delete from root explorer. If any files are being replaced, unzip ur flashable rom and pull the original files and then place in directories, overwriting the modified fikes

[Q] CWM zip

How do I create a zip that can be installed through CWM?

Try App2zip https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=scd.app2zip
Well I didn't meant apps. Imagine to add some tweaks or files to a specific directory. If you open zips that can be flashed through CWM you can see that there is a group of folders that actually tells where the files will be installed

You can download some package for this phone for flash and delete all in /system than you can copy what do you want to flash to /system. Than compresse to .zip
Happy flashing!
