What do you need to know about this? It needs to be applied to the kernel sources for your device, that's about as much as I know.

thanks
that's more than i knew.

RTorrent and Elinks

I would really like to see RTorrent and Elinks ported to android. However, I believe that they cannot be due to a different version of C. Busybox on the other hand, was ported.
Does anyone know if it would be possible to port elinks and rtorrent, and if so, whom to ask to do so?
I am bumping this for further information.

[Q] Development?

Is there actually any development happening? If so, can someone please point me in that general direction? If not, will development ever pick up?

Don't know what you all need as far a development goes, not much needs to be done.
There are a few hacks and roms, but not many Adams in the hands of their users yet. Anyone that does, is waiting on Kernel Source and/or HoneyComb.
I am sure more will pick up as soon as this PO2 batch gets to their owners.
You could in the meantime look up "Notion Ink Hacks".

I would really like to see cm7, but that's ok, I guess I am just used to the development that happened for my captivate. I figured it would be more like that.
It will be, try The Utopia rom.

I sure hope so. I did try that, it's nothing special.

There's not gonna be anything "special" after you've already experienced everything on your phone.
Not much needed to be done once the unit is rooted, customizing is up to the user.

A500 Teardown at Techrepublic (50+ pics)

I found this while looking for the location of the two mics on my A500. I have a low post count so I can't post an external link but you guys are smart enough to figure out how to make it work.

Cool post. Thanks. Now I know how to take apart my A500 and what battery it uses.
So that means we could upgrade the a500 with a 3d card and antenna and convert it into an a501 ? Anyone has electronics knowledge enough to reply this?

Kernel Modules for 3D and Audio on Touchpad

Posting this hoping some of the CM developers on the touch pad visit this section of the forums -
I was wondering if anyone knows which kernel modules are in use on CM7 that are allowing the touchpad to have full 3D and working audio under the OS. Working on getting Debian running fully on the touchpad hardware and these are two hurdles I need to get over next.

Yes it is. So that makes this the right place to post this question right?
At any rate anyone know the answer to my question? I was hoping someone would know off hand so I don't need to wipe my Debian install to load up CM7 myself.

not the proper place to post this question. try other development thread.

Why would you need to wipe your Debian install to install CM7?

Yes, I am very familiar with the storage characteristics of these devices.
Just curious what you've filled your device with, now.
Come on guys, quit being douchebags.
The guy's asking a simple question. (And he's asking it to help provide yet another option for our Touchpads. )

Seriously, this is ridiculous. Probably a large part of the reason RootzWiki exists, because of this BS on XDA. OP, please don't be discouraged - I support your efforts and wish I could answer your question!
If you mean the kernel compiling, maybe you can check the tenderloin kernel build in github
I wish I can also find the CM7 source code for TP but it seems been pulled off from github, you can check the work of preludedrew but the rom I built from his code does not work well for 3D acceleration and other stuffs (or maybe I have done something wrong in compiling...)
Hope this helps

well it's a very simple, very quick app/service to do something like that. I dare say that you can combine 2 of the sdk examples with minimal alterations and thats what you get. So doubt there will be any as the examples that come with the sdk have it all in for learning purposes
