Dear Friends,
UpToDate is the medical textbook program. Inside there are a lot of files in HTM and JAR format. ( http://www.uptodate.com/home/index.html )
Most of custom ROMs out there do not let this program work. Only ship ROMS and Onkolog ROMs do.
I am not sure that it is about different opera and java program or not
Please guide me the way.

In response to why UpToDate doesn't work in most ROMS, it is because Opera is the default browser. UpToDate works with pocket internet explorer only it seems. You have to make Pocket IE the default browser. This solved my problem with UpToDate. Hope this helps. There should be a cab file around. I believe it is called Fix IE or something like that, unfortunately I am unable to locate the link right now.

Unfornately, with the new IE6 thats has been added to the new custom ROMS, uptodate wont work, still looking for a fix to that, maybe the new version coming up, UpToDate 17.1 will work with the new IE..... if anybody has solved this problme, please contact me!!! thanks.
Thank u my friends, I try Fix IE to Maryone and Laurentius and Dutty' s ROM . It does not work. It may as doctorcete explained to us.

replace in your kitchen with these

I have the same problem with energyrom 2.0.
Uptodate requires windows 5.0 or 6.0 according to their sites. I don't know why it wouldn't install on anything above it. It works fine on 6.0. On 6.1, however, I don't get errors but I can't read topics when I select them ... nothing is displayed.
I have the same problem too and would love someone to make a fix in a .cab format so we can just install it before installing UpToDate and it works. Or maybe explain us how to include that module in IE without cooking a new ROM?

I tested Dutty's 2.1 ROM on my HD and UpToDate 16.3 worked fine. above that: it won't work.
I am also trying to run UpToDate in my Elf with Onyx 5.0 Beta WM6.5 ROM, but no luck yet. Can anyone post the easier solution beside cooking rom
Personally, I don't use custom ROM as I don't to mess up uptodate.
Fix IE works as the Opera would no longer be launched if I tab on the table of contents. But there would be occas. crash.........................According to Uptodate, they have never tried uptodate on HTC machine and they only recommended not to use opera as default.
IE fix really helps a lot, near 95% OK in daily function.
i had absolutely no crashes at all with 16.3 version with ie fix and the new stock official ROM and i want that with the new custom roms with the new manilla and all the new features but i can not afford not to have a fully working pocketpc UpToDate.. also trying out 17.1 version seems pretty much as it was with the previous version as in no crashes - till now - .. and on a side note i havent tried IE Fix but i am doing something that does the same thing exactly in making ie is the default explorer by installing any version of opera to the storage card and then uninstalling it.
still waiting for a reply on how to squeeze in the missing IE module in new custom roms
I personally Haven't used UpToDate. can someone please tell me from where to download cab / installation for WM devices? (I couldn't find it on their website.
Well ,as far as this problem is concerned, IMHO , why don't you all report this problem to Dutty (or any other cook) himself ? I guess they can guide you better than anyone else??

so there still be the limit that this or that rom cant use uptodate
2 fix IE in case that you has manila in your device
you must install this after install opera or after flash your romo

What rom version do you have? Which hotfixes are you trying to install? some of the hotfixes aren't needed with the latest stock rom.
noone of the hotfxes are working, and have the latest from the website.
is t a way to download a better rom verson also?
Well, with rom version 1.14 I've installed all hotfixes. Now, with 1.56 (the latest official) I didn't install any hotfix!
Do you have any issues which could be solved by one of the hotfixes?

Well, don't get me wrong, but try to use the search feature! There are a lot of rules on how to post in forums! Now think about someone searching for answers regarding the installation of hotfixes and one of the hits will be this thread where the discussion changes to uninstalling themes and which rom is best!

Hi I have just upgraded to this rom from the basic preinstalled one. I want to find the add on cabs mentioned for the rom but I cant find links anywhere on here and on http://www.duttythroy.net when i go to download no files ever show up, what am I doing wrong? (specifically I want Dutty's Enable Manila landscape and Dutty's Flip it Application)

is this all correct? I want to make sure i flashed the rom properly. (went straight to the cooked rom from stock 1.14 rom hope this is correct)

And did you make sure your signed in at Duttys site I just checked and it definatly has downloads in the HD Rom Cabs folder and I used your link

Why not just go to Duttys V3.7 thread and go to bottom download on post#6 and download it. Simple as that. Alternatively as jake_tenfloors stated above sign up to his website and download from there. Membership is free on his site.
If you have downloaded correct rom and installed it your splash screen should say the following:
R 1.14.25.24
G 52.64.25.34H
D 1.59.Dutty

1) either use version 3.3 (it is fixed there).
2) IF you still have market download problem which should not happen in v3.2, try to use the fix_permission in ROM manager and reboot.
Hi, I just installed the final phiremod android version (German language). Everything works great. But I have problems with some aps. They will download but I can´t install them - they switch back to download.
Can someone help me....
