Hey everyone I'm new to xda and I just want to say how great it is to be a part of this site. My question is. Is there a new version of z4 root that works with the froyo update dk28 for the epic? Thanks again.

Won't work; I've tried a while back.
It'll just freeze at the "Acquiring Root" part.
So no, you cannot use z4root to root, unfortunately. However, there are various topics on how to do one-click roots on your phone, with all types of computers - Windows, Linux, or even Mac.

Yes, when using the one click roots, you get a lot of options.
One being rooting the phone w/ cwm redirector.
And another that gives you the option to unroot the phone.
So basically, use the same method to unroot it as you do to root it, although choosing the correct option.
Simple as that

Just wondering how you are supposed to apply this zip. And when done, I'm assuming it wipes phone and unroots.

Link is ok, but the content is included donwload file that could be virus. Note7 is new, you should wait for another time to root.
that site has hot linked to my hosting of the firmware
back 2 topic...we need us a leak of eng build like Sprint has, this will allow root to that ROM version only. To get a more perm root solution we need bootloader cracked.
