Please tell us how? I was thinking it'd be long press - but that does nothing (at least for me)

Same issue for me!
I am not able to delete "My Tags" as well. I can deleted starred or scanned tags but not tags I have created. Long press does not work... can anyone confirm?

This was fixed with the 2.3.4 update.

Need help recovering a file...

so i had a completely stock atrix as of a few days ago, and i decided to dive in head first and start tinkering. im rooted, sideloaded, and gingerblured. and i love it. its fantastic. my problem is that i took a picture of my girlfriend as my wallpaper before flashing gingerblur, and forgot to back anything up. well the flash wiped everything, my wallpaper didnt change, by luck... but i cant seem to find the file anywhere on the atrix. aaaaaand i dont have another copy. anyone have an idea on how i might be able to find it?
really? nobody has any clue?
There are numerous programs that will attempt to recover data from SD cards though I am not sure they will work if the pic was on the internal storage partition on your phone.
Its your girlfriend right?
Take another pic?
I dont remember if i stored it on internal or sd. But being as its still the wallpaper, it has to be cached somewhere, right? And while i could take another picture, perhaps i like the one i have. Id like to excersize my options before giving up. But thank you for that well thought out, very contributory answer shriva. Much obliged...

your missing his dilemma here. the wifey is gonna yell at him for not making sure the pic is safe! She will treat it as a bad thing!

Try this...
Hook it up to your PC and select "USB Mass Storage". Go to the drive representing your phone in "My Computer" on your PC. Use the windows search function to search *.jpg
See what pops up.

tried the above, but no avail. i was fiddling with root explorer and just kind of exploring things, is it possible its saved in a cache somewhere? i guess the fact that i dont know the file name doesnt make things any easier...

I'm out of ideas then. If you only want it for wallpaper then you could clear off a home screen and use a screenshot app to save a copy, but if it's scrolling when you switch home screens then you're going to miss some of it. Also, depending on your launcher you're going to probably have some visible icons in the dock.

Try this path using root explorer.
data/data/com.android.settings/files/wallpaper
There should be a file in there called wallpaper.
I would use copy though, not move.

this really isn't the right section for this, u guys gotta stop posting such stuff in dev section. nways, y don't u try mounting the card on pc and do a search with "blogger" as a keyword, just sayin..
If you try disconnetting from internet, you'll notice that those images can't be showed properly. That means that they aren't on the sdcard, but they can be found in your picasa album, in this case, named Blogger. Just log into your web picasa album and delete them.

Thanks a million you just saved me with your reply
This is very simple to do but not anybody knows how...
Removing memory will somehow load it back if u reboot (i think)
The right method is go to setting>application>manage applications>gallery...then simply tap on clear data, it will only come back if u sync picasa on setting>account & sync>your google acc...there's picasa sync option ib there...and it will sync again when u install new rom...

[Help] Docs Stopped Working

My documents are not opening on the "Amazon Launcher" anymore.
Once i touch the file on the grid, it "flashes" (indicating the "click/touch") but nothing happens.
Also, my Documents on the "sdcard" folder are not showing up on the "Device" tab, is there any specific folder i have to put them ?
I installed two apps "Quick Office" and "Office Suite", i dont know if it makes any difference but, who knows.
What can be happening?
Info : Rooted 6.3 Kindle Fire - No Custom Rom
Thanks in advance.
Bumping Thread.
Sorry for doing this, but, i need to make the documents tab work
The location of the document folder is user configurable through setting option as part of office application. You may create a new folder to store your docs or you can use icloude services.

Im not sure if im too late, but i had a similar problem, and i read in a thread a ways back that to solve this, you need to go to system/app/kindleforotter.apk reinstall the app using root explorer or something similar. It solved my issue with this, i hipe it does yours.

Solved using your method.
I reinstalled the App, and forced a sync.
After sync is done, i could be able to make it work.
Thanks, really ! ! !
See ? Its never late to give a right answer
Well thanks haha. Im glad it worked

apex launcher issue

I've set up the launcher, but when I set up direct dial on the desktop, it keeps telling that it can't launch action. Does anyone else have this issue and is there a fix for it

I just tested it for you and I had no problem with it. Try restarting Apex?
Tried restarting, uniinstalling the at and reinstalling, still doesn't work
I really don't think this matters, but I'll throw it out there...I am rooted, but other than that here is what I did. I long pressed on the desktop, selected Shortcuts and then Direct dial, then selected a contact. It created a contact on my desktop, I clicked it and it dialed it. I have to assume these are the steps you are taking as well?
Yes, but it still doesn't work
Try using the root setting in the apex settings. Cant remember the exact name of the root option. Maybe that will help.
Can't find the root setting.
Are you rooted? I could not tell by your response.
No, not rooted

Then, I would assume that may be the difference. I was rooted when I tried to duplicate your issue.

I have the above showing that its taking up 5GB on my Nexus 7, when I go to Settings > Storage >Misc files.
What is it? What app uses that?
Just wondering what to do about it.
Thanks,
Jon
Just a guess but may be for an RSS feed I would delete it if it takes up 5gb

I don't want to delete it, since it might mess up an app I am using. Rather, I would like to know what app its related to. Is there any way to find out?

Looks like it's for this app https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.meecel.feedreader.RssDemonAd
Edit: Can't imagine for the life of me why an RSS feed app would take up that much space, unless it's configured to download and store content or something.

Nicely found and that helped, thanks. It didn't show under Installed Apps but showed under the All list, under MyApps. Not sure what the All list is meant to show? Previously installed apps?

Correct. If you no longer use the app, you should be fine to delete the data. As the above post mentioned, if in doubt you may just rename or move the folder first to make sure nothing breaks.

I can't seem to delete the cache folder as there are too many files in the folder. About 20K I believe. Any ideas on how I can get rid of it?

What file manager app are you using? Maybe try a different one, I like solid explorer and root browser myself.
You might also try connecting the tablet to a PC and see if you can delete it that way.
