I am having a similar problem
I begun experiencing issues today. I have been running CyanogenMod 7 for myTouch 4G :: V7.0.0-RC1 (2/15/2011), a total of 4 days now.
Sometime today, my phone would not connect to any networks. When I scan for, then try to connect to networks, my phone states "Sim card does not allow a connection to this network."
I went to the store and replaced the SIM and still have the problem. I have tried the SIM from a working Galaxy 4G, with no luck. My SIM works in all my other phones!
Thinking it has something to do with http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=858996 , I have been attempting to revert completely to stock.. I have the stock ROM on but can not seem to get S=ON...
Any help would be greatly appreciated..

Same thing happened to me. I've read a few other threads dealing with the same problem. The best bet is that you restore back to stock rom and send it in for a replacement
I have the same issue...
My HTC glacier is perm rooted and Im running oon Iced Glacier v1.1.6 and my kernal is 2.6.32.21 Gorilla-OC 1.6 ghz...while everything else is running fine..awesome speed, Im actually at 1.7 ghz overclocked but my phone wont recognize my sim card. The issue lies in that it was doing that before I rooted and installed custom flash , can anyone point me in the right direction, i love this phone and it functions fine on its own but i basically have an unlimited date plan that im paying for ,for nothing since once i leave home the phone cant pick up tmobile 4g network..PLEASE SOMEONE HEEELLLLP!

Hmm seems like your friend tried to run the rogers (32a) update on a tmobile phone (32b). Try to find a t-mobile ruu to revert back to the original software on the phone.
Try this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=659403 , there's 32b ruu roms.. but make sure you have usb drivers installed..
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=665814
official sappimg that will return the mytouch 1.2 or mytouch fender to stock.

Well your version(3.05.631.7 sent by PM) is set to fare up.
It's for the pure 32A roms.
I have no idea how you can fix it!
so there's no fix for the phone?

I has this problem too, you will need to make a Goldcard. A simple search will point you in the right direction
So i decided to root my gf's phone and i have been rooting my phones since the g1 but never got to hers....it looks like i waited to long lol...so i used the gold card method and got it downgraded to 1.6 i believe but i cant for some reason fast boot it from my mac can anyone help with the command translation to mac...
Sir.. I believe the gold card method is a bit out of date.there is one step rooting. Don't you have to downgrade to android 1.5 for gold card to ???¿?
Sent from my T-Mobile myTouch 3G using XDA App
yea but when it was at 2.2.1 it wouldnt root so i used that method its at 1.6 i think but it wont load a new build
*edit*
so now i have gotten it to turn on with a Vodaphone(dont ask me how) v1.5 and i can not get the custom recovery installed...this is driving me insane my nexus is sooo much easier
*edit**
so i after hours of playing it using
Sapphire PVT 32B Ship on H
Hboot-1.33.0009 (sapp30000)
cpld 10
radio 3.22.20.17
this make no sense since this is a mytouch 3g not the htc version so i need to get it bad to g and am not sure which splash to flash
Sorry if I can't be any more help

Ok, I recently got my hands on a MT3G, no 3.5mm, and I'm trying to root it. It came with Froyo already on it (2.2.1) and as far as I understad, no one click method works for 2.2.1? Anyway I'm trying to downgrade and use the goldcard method but I keep getting the Main version is older message. I've used 3 different sappimg files but same thing. Can anyone lead me in the right direction? This is my first time trying to root
You didn't make your goldcard right. Secondly, stop flashing different sappimg.zip's or you'll possibly end up bricking your phone. Lastly, this is rumored to still be working with the 2.2.1 update. If that one doesn't work, post your fastboot info here. With the phone turned off, turn it on holding back+power and post everything you see there.
I rooted my mytouch 3g a few days ago, I used super one click, and my phone has no 3.5mm jack. all 32b phones work with super one cancel so far i know

Ok guys the Super One Click method worked for me. Got rom manager installed. Made backup and now trying to flash Cyanogen 6.1. But it gets stuck in reset loop. What's the deal now?
Turn your phone off, then turn it back on holding back+power. Post everything you see there.

Try doing a full wipe "data, cache, dalvik-cache" and reflashing the ROM.

Your problem is that you have a 28.25 radio, which is new and cyanogen doesnt support it yet, he will soon enough though. You either have to find a compatible kernel with your radio or flash this rom
http://forum.cyanogenmod.com/topic/11548-cm61-2708port-for-new-radiospl-unofficial/
Flash this rom and it should work. If it worked hit the thanks button.

OK, about to try this now and will report back.
Report: It worked! Thanks alot for that tip and thanks to everyone else who took time to help this Android n00b
I think you need to get the 1.33.0013 SPL if you are using that radio... someone may need to confirm this, but you should look info that to see if this is related...
That's the spl I used and all is working great now

Was the hole turn on -->> turn off -->> turn on usb debugging needed?
I am still loking to root my newly brought magic and can't get to pass that, and seeming to be the only way to root a 2.2.1 phone I try to find out more.
thanks

I think you need to do that only if your PC is having problems detecting your phone. All I did was plug it in with USB debugging enabled.
so i had tmobile with a data plan on my mytouch. but when i switched over to verizon. i ended up reseting my mytouch so now i have to activate it to do anything with it. i just want it on for the basic features so its not just sitting around collecting dust. ive been lookin around and cant seem to find a solution to bypass the activation screen. any help would be greatly appreciated
You'll have to root and install a custom ROM or get a prepaid SIM, select the option to purchase the day data pass, then root and install a custom ROM to prevent it in the future.

how would i go about rooting it if i cant acess anything other then the activation screen?

Sure you can. You can get into the hboot by holding down the volume down key while powering on the device. Which also means you can root using the goldcard method. Actually, boot using that method and post the text here and there's a slight chance you can root without the goldcard.

Ok you'll have to follow my original post. You can make a goldcard using any phone running Android. The other option of using the prepaid SIM or borrowing a data enabled one would be easier though.

I have tried to get files for my phone to be able to resurrect it after my GF had it for about a year. The phone is saying that when I try and use the PDIMG15 (which by the way thanks to uncle sam in all of his wisdom taking down mega upload is IMPOSSIBLE to find) it is saying that main version is older.
can any one help me out on this? i used to have the same phone and have moved on to the Desire HD.

If it is saying version is older than you need the most recent gb stock unrooted rom to get it to work.
