Hi, I'm using MIUI and I needed to flash HSPL again so I needed to backup, so I backed all my stuff up. Using MyBackup Pro and MIUI backup. But when using MIUI backup, when I'm installing the apps, my phone just restarts. When using MyBackup it's saying can;t find the links or something. Any help? lol.
Try re-flashing and restore using MyBackup only.

Hmm how did you backup your files? did you used apps? If you backup using xrecovery,im sad to that if you flash your backup you will wipe minicm as well and returned back to your older rom.
Hey dudes,
I would like to fully backup my phone (ROM,system data, pre-installed apps, everything) before installing any ROM or in case I mess things up or return the phone should any hardware problems happen.
Now, Does Titanuim backup pro do that or I have to use Nandroid?
Also, I tried to find anything about how to install Nandroid on Xperia X8 but no luck so far. Could you please show me the way?
Cheers
What do you mean by installing nandroid? You just need to install recovery to do a nandroid backup, use ClockWorkMod recovery (newer version) or xrecovery (older, a bit obsolete). Look up in development section on how to install

Hey guys, I just did a fresh install of ROM and Kernel, and installed some basic apps.
Does anyone have experience with Titanium Backup ( I got the PRO) on the best way to backup this fresh install.
I'd like to restore to this state whenever a problem occurs.
Thanks for helping me out!!
OH and also, if I was to restore this backup on another ROM that I install, would it restore the ROM no right? sorry if sounds confusing..
:good:

You need to back it up in recovery, not in Titanium.
When you restore, it will return to the exact state of the backup; rom, kernel, messages, everything. Just like it was when you backed it up.

+1 You can backup via recovery all the rom n its stuff.. Titanium backup is just backing n restoring the apps..
You can use titanium backup later when you have installed some apps but to backup the factory settings use recovery

Hey guys!
So yesterday, I installed the app 'Android Control Center'. I messed around with a few settings and ended up in a bootloop. I do not have anything backed up in Titanium backup. So I made a nandroid backup in the hope that id be able to restore my apps out of that by using nandroid manager, but all of my app data were not extracted from the nandroid. So now im planning to restore the nandroid backup and use TWRPs file manager to remove that apk and its data. Are there any other things I should do to fix this problem? Will this work??
Guys, any help is appreciated!!!
Hardly believe that app can cause your system into bootloop... anyway, if you want to try.
Titanium Backup can restore apps from Nandroid backup, preferably CWM tar backup. However, this function is currently having issues with Android 4.3, so if you want to reflash the ROM, pick ROM with 4.2.2.
I believe TWRP backup should also works, but I haven't try it before. If you need to use TWRP, do it without compression & encryption.
IMO your problem can be a simple fix by remove the faulty app and reflash the ROM.
just reflash your rom via recovery, dont wipe, you wont lose any data
Alright thanks for the response. I copied my TWRP backup to my PC, extracted it and now I'm trying to copy the data folder from my TWRP backup to my ROM's data folder. Hopefully, this will work.
PS - I removed the app and i reflashed the rom but that didn't seem to fix the problem.

I have the titanium backup pro app and every time i select extract from nandroid backup the app crashes. I would use Nandroid backup but it wont detect my TWRP backups. I am running stock rom with root. Can anyone help me?
