bluetooth audio - Desire HD General

Trying to get my DHD sorted in the car.
When I am streaming music by Bluetooth to the car stereo, and using sat mac, the sat bab voices get streamed just fine, but they also come out of the phone speaker.
I hope that makes sense.
Any way I can stop this so it only comes through the stereo?

Can i tranfer audio through BT to my mercedes BT HFP?

well the title is clear, my car Mercedes Benz take my Advantage as its phone, i tranfered my contacts and i dial and talk using the car, i was thinking maybe instead of burning the songs i have on my advantage i would just play them of the advantage using the phone system and speakers of the cars, so far i tried audio toggle which works fine with my jabra to transfer sound from and to headset but when connectect to my car it does't work, now i noticed that while the music is supposed to be playing from the car, and i dial any number i get the music appearing for a second from the car system before it actialy starts ringing on the other side or what where, which means if there is a way to suggest to my car that its actually calling someone while its not it could play music from my car system, can anyone scratch there head with me, also know the services found on the car are Handsfree BT profile not more

Mobile GPS and Bluetooth Car Stereo

Any of you use a gps program on your phone? If so, do you also have a car stereo with bluetooth? If so, do any of you know if it is possible to listen to an ipod or a cd while the gps interrupts gives you instructions every now and then. I'm asking because I'd rather not have to always listen to music on my phone, just to have the gps also going though the speakers.
I have Tom Tom 7 on my HTC HD2 and I also have a Sony BT3700 Headunit in the car.
I have used navigation many times when the phone has been ready to receive a call and I have also used the phone many times without the navigation switched on.
The other day I was using tom tom and somebody rang me but at the time I had the voices on mute, so I do not know about the sounds.
I have never had the chace to be on the phone and use TomTom voices as well.
I am pretty sure what will happen, is the sound for the phonecall will come out on your stereo and the sound for GPS will come out of the phone.
I believe that is the best way and I would have no problem with that.
If you want to use the GPS voices over bluetooth, you will need to use the bluetooth overaudio function which you would also use to play a song or watch a film.
Hope that makes sense?
Well I have the Xperia x1i and tom tom navigator 6, as well as a dual xhd7720 with the bluetooth adapter. What I want to do is play my ipod while I have the gps navigation going. The only way I can have the music and gps playing through the speakers is to tune to Bt streaming on my radio and have the music playing from my phone. I would just set my phone to have the gps voice go through the phone speaker, but those with the Xperia should know that the speaker isn't very loud.
I understand what you mean now.
But I believe it is not possible. The problem is not with the phone, but with the headunit. You can not listen to BTaudio mode and ipod or CD at the same time.
It would be like trying to listen to the radio and your ipod at the same time on your headunit, just not possible.
My onyl suggestion is by some cheap speakers to plug into the bottom of your xperia for better sound? and keep using the btaudio mode for the phone.
Just to clarify at bit more. What I'm looking for is a way to trick the head unit into thinking that whenever an instruction is given (such as turn left in a quarter mile) the head unit mutes the music, much like it does when there is a phone call. I figured that would be something software could take care of on the phone.

Mp3 playback thru parrot car kit

with my old n95 8gb phone i could play my mp3 files on it in the car and as it was connected to my parrott car kit i could hear it thru the cars speakers -
but i cant do it with the hero - yes the hero works perfectly with the car kit - but when you go inot the music player on it - the music only comes out fo the phone -
has anyone any ideas ?
What parrot car kit have you got? The sound from the MP3 links using A2DP BT profile (designed for highish quality stereo output) and only the latest Parrots use that (my CK3000 does not) All the others only support handsfree BT profile which is mono and poor quality. So it will not pick up the music from the Hero.
To elaborate, *some* phones will play music through the hands-free profile. iirc, I could do it on my HTC Vogue with WinMo.
You are right but I have never managed to get my Hero to. If anyone has I would be interested in hearing how. Trouble is it will be mono lo-fi quality.
At least the sat nav voices uses handsfree - on my previous WM mobile the TT voices came through A2DP and I had to get an app to change it
Correction the sat nav voices do not use handsfree profile on the Hero - I think they use A2DP and so my Parrot is unable to pick them up. However they are loud enough to hear on the phone's loudspeaker.

Car Bluetooth Overhaul

So I love my incredible...best phone ever...haha. Which is why I'm making all these changes to accommodate it!
I was playing with it yesterday, and I ran pandora and navigation at the same time- during which, I called myself, and the phone call went thru. No freezes, no glitches, nothing. So Instead of just having cords galore when plugging into my car. Can I just buy a bluetooth cardeck and sync it with my phone and go from there?
Has/Is anyone doing this now? Advice is always appreciated- Thanks in advance!
I have a PIONEER FH-P800BT and its great. Bluetooth works great for calls and A2DP streaming. When streaming audio alerts come through also, so you may want to pick some that arent too obnoxious. Ipod controls work pretty well too if your into that sort of thing.
I use a bt stereo too. It works awesome. People can here me well and I stream music all the time. As soon as proclip comes out with the Incredible device holder, I'll be all set. I use a JVC KD-BT1 head unit.
I am using a Kenwood BT200 and I also seem to have no issues with music and phone calls
I don't have my Incredible just yet but I've been using a Motorola T505 Bluetooth in my car since before I got my G1 and haven't had any issues with it. Had it about two years now. It has a built-in FM Transmitter so I'll listen to Pandora or my own music through my car stereo even when people call me I'll hear it through the speakers. No one ever reported not being able to hear me clearly when using it.
I was thinking about this some more and the more I think about it, the more I don't think Pandora will play via bluetooth. You will definitely be able to play from your library

Yep, pandaora and slacker work via a2dp
Yes. I have DUAL head unit and works fine with A2DP BlueTooth with my Incredible and yes Pandora plays thru A2DP with no problem. So, go ahead and do what ever U R thinking of doing.
awesomee..thanks everyone..so i really just need to find a unit that has A2DP..cool. I was wondering what the difference between call placing and audio streaming in terms of bluetoothin' !!
I just ordered a Motorola T605 for my car (2001 RX300 without nav) and a Parrot MKi9000 for my wife's car (2006 saturn ion). I would have prefered to get the moto for both (since it's $100 cheaper), but her radio doesn't have a mute switch and probably would have been harder to install. I'm going to do the install in the coming weeks myself.
Kenwood DNX6140 BT setup works great
I have the kenwood unit in my Trailblazer EXT and got the car bracket at VZW store. The suction cup places the phone way out of convient reach any way you try so I use the holster part with a vent clip that I had from another mount from an XM unit I tossed in favor of Pandora. Nav, Pandora, anything else runs fast and flawlessly, phone calls great.

I have almost the exact same head unit. Works pretty well, I reviewed it here:

Bluetooth Car Stereo

Finally got bluetooth in my car stereo and reviewed some threads prior to posting, but not sure anyone asked / answered the question I have. I'm basically wondering how people are using their bluetooth stereo's. From what I can tell so far I have 2 options.
1. Phone pairs, i listen to my car stereo and if a phone call comes in the stereo picks up the call if i say, and upon completion back to my car stereo
2. Phone pairs, put the car into BT Audio mode and stream audio from my phone including phone calls.
The problem is, i'm looking for a way to combine both. For example I'd like to be able to listen to my car stereo, and if i get a notification i hear it over the radio, not just phone calls. I haven't tried yet, but i'm guessing the nav will be the same way, if i'm listening to the stereo and running nav on my phone i will get no turn by turn like i would if i was listening to music on my phone and running nav.
Is there a way to do this? Am I missing something? I have the Sony Xplōd™ MEX-BT3900U. Is this a limitation of my stereo, or just not how most people use their bluetooth?
I just ordered a replacement radio as well with BT support. I'd be curious wth what other people have to say with experience as well.
I use this all the time.
Both options will work provided the head unit you bought supports media streaming.
Your phone will connect both phone and media over Bluetooth. You listen to your media and if a call comes in you can take it while the media is paused. Media will resume after call completed.
Notifications and navigation will pause and resume media as needed.

I've found the quality of the audio over bluetooth to be very degraded. Have a rear AUX 1/8th port and run a cable to mount, Then use BT headset for all if need be, but have Pandora playing Excision & Downlink radio the entire time
