I have an incredible but just pre-ordered 2 Htc Evo's,
thats right 2 yay!!!

lol I have that same feeling, any idea on RAM and Internal storage?

well the first best buy I went was sold out so I just went to another and said F**K it and money is not an issue.

You do realize that the group of numbers right below the Val number is the transaction number? Which means any best buy employee can go print a duplicate receipt and claim it as their own? Just an FYI.

By the way, I totally pre-ordered my EVO. Can't wait for it!

I canceled my Best Buy preorder after learning they were charging $600 for the contract-free version, so I'm waiting to order one at my local Sprint store when they start taking names.

EDIT: OK, I found the thread on Android Forums where some guy claims he had supposed phone conversations with 3 different BB employees at 3 different BB stores and that they all said $600. I'm sorry, I just don't believe it! Even if it is true (which I doubt) I can easily cash in my $50 BB gift card and walk 100 yards to the Sprint store to buy it for $450.
Are you sure that guy doesn't work for Sprint or Radio Shack?

OK, I take it back. I was just made aware of the fact that Best Buy is charging $599 for unsubsidized Heros.
Sprint only only charges $429.
I also just noticed (in the fine print) that the $50 Best Buy gift card is NOT redeemable for cash.

Were you able to get your money back from Best Buy when you canceled it? Do you know if there is a time limit for canceling? Does anyone know when Sprint will do preorders for the Evo? I ask because I just made my preorder today at BB and realized afterward they will steal $150 from me (it's not stealing, it's Capitalism which I'm all for, it still sucks though) and want to avoid that if at all possible.

I made the stupid mistake of creating $300 in gift cards to help budget for this. If I get stuck having to pay another 300 there will be problems. They're going to adjust my price or refund my money.

As I understand it, you can use the gift card towards the price of the phone. Just pre-ordered mine today too.

I went in and they instantly gave me cash (paid with debit). I'm sure that you'd be fine getting a refund all the way until June. Just tell them that you don't want a marked up phone, and they hadn't released the price when you paid.

Mine doesn't say that... They told me that they were going to call me to set up a time on the 4th to pick it up.

on the yellow bestbuy mobile receipt at the bottom right box where it says "best number and time to contact you" the sales rep wrote down "when phone release june 5th".very weird.

Go to the Moto store, order it and at the Amazon checkout apply the code.

Not as good as 25% but hey it cheaper and now better priced than the iPad2

They're feeling pressure from iPad 2 pricing obviously. Considering Steve Jobs just called them out directly on pricing. This coupon is gonna turn into permanent pricing for sure. Its not even a special coupon, this is just offered to everyone ordering.

Never mind, I just created a new account instead of using my normal Amazon account. Doubt Verizon will be thrilled with the returns they'll receive. Who is going to pass up a legit $100 back during the 14 day return period?

You still save a little. Just dont know if its worth saving that little. I also heard some people getting their restock fee waived.

This happened to me on the 25% order and it was a bad phone # that caused the message.

OK, I called to verify with AMEX. I just return the Xoom to Verizon and get copies of the receipts and a receipt for the restocking fee. I send those to AMEX and they credit my account for the value.

This is very tempting.

I got mine off the Sprint website for $149, activiation fee waived. But we added it on a new line.

Probably can't get it waived in store but if you haggle with the phone reps (specifically "Account Services" aka the cancellation/retention department), they will likely credit it back to you if you threaten to leave (especially if you are a long time customer). You just have to wait for the charge to appear on your account and when you call in, follow the prompts until you get to the option to cancel service and that will get you to the "Account Services" department. Last time I did this, they didn't specifically waive the fee but did offer me a $25 credit x 4 months (so $100 total) and I was obviously quite happy with that. Other times, they just went head and credited me back the $36.

retentions- ask for a transfer to them from the normal sprint rep

Seen at Target today $199.00 and in stock.
This has worked for me in the past. I flipped the tables on Sprint. Sprint had the phone and they knew I wanted it, so I bought it at there price asked but they would not discount it for me. Weeks later before the return policy date expired I called Sprint and told them I was returning the phone, told them I felt it was over priced and seen others were getting it at lower prices. Now I had the phone and Sprint did not want me to return it, they made a better deal than I first asked for.

Just follow the prompts until you get to the one that is for cancelling service. It may not be in the initial set of options presented to you so in that scenario, simply choose the "for all other issues, press 5."

Costco has it for 199.99 no 36 dollar fee.

I just picked up 3 Sprint Samsung Galaxy S4's as an "upgrade" to my existing line for $188 with the $36 activation fee waived at Sams Club. Its only available in the stores, not sure for how long.
I didn't trade in my old phones either using the buyback.

Thanks for the info. I just called my Sam's Club and they have them for $188 but they said Sam's can't waive the activation fee themselves. How did you get it waived?
Also, I called my local Sprint store and they wouldn't budge from $249. The rep told me he hasn't heard of any Sprint store offering it for $199. I called Best Buy as well and they won't budge from $249 either.

Hey, I'm not sure if it was the deal my Sams club ran, however when i bought the phones for $188 he called into Sprint and they waived the activation via the phone. How it works though is I paid it upfront and it will be credited on my phone bill. So in a sense its waived.. just not immediately.

oh and as far as sprint budging .. they will not when I called a sprint store (that was closer to Sams) to see if they would match the offer. The workers there didn't even know how Sams was able to offer it when they have been told they cannot lower the price themselves and told me to jump on the deal. .. so i did.

Call Sprint and ask but usually you get special offers when porting a number over. I got a $200 credit to my account when I ported my number to Sprint a while back.

if your not porting you will pay $250 for the new phone the $100 off is just if you are porting a number over.

Check amazon, Sam's club, Costco before buying from Sprint. They are all cheaper and can add the line for you. Best Buy will price match so I bet you can get it for less than $200.

no it does not they will give you a temporary number to start with until the port is complete. the porting process can take up to a week sometimes depending on the other carrier but it usually happens pretty fast.

I am current customer and I did the reserve in store option on the website and they gave it to me for 149.99 and I got a 50 dollar rebate to send in. I didn't bring over any number or anything.

Its a hit or miss with best buy, I went to 3 and they all told me they do not price match contract phones but I decided to try one more and they didnt have a problem price matching 2 s4 for me for $149.99 amazon price and i had previously signed up for the phone freedom thing so got each one for 99.99

You may want to check out Dell too. Add a line is $119.99 with free shipping for the S4, plus they throw in a $50 dell gift card.

I had already pre-ordered at $349. I called about a refund of the $49, and I was told to call back when I received the device, and I would be given a $50 credit on my account at that time.

Good to know, thanks. Never would have thought to check the price after I ordered the phone. Will call when I get it and ask for the same 50 bucks.

I just got off the phone with sprint. They are not making me cancel my order and reorder. They said they will credit my credit card the difference paid when I activate the new phone.

Not exactly. Ordered it for my other line for my GF. I have it preordered at Best Buy and my work was nice enough to "donate" an S3 for me to trade in and get the $200.

All this discussion and no link. I don't see any reduction on sprint or bestbuy websites.

I stand corrected. Thank you!

I called order processing and asked for the $50 dollar refund on Saturday. The girl put me on hold for a while and then came back and said she would apply the $50 to my account. A half hour later I got a text saying the refund had been applied, checked and it was there. I am on SERO I don't if this made the difference.

Anybody have any idea why the best buy price hasn't dropped to $299 like everywhere else?

Is Best Buy still doing the $200 trade in? I judt went to preorder and dont see it..

Something strange is happening to me on sprint.com. I try to do a pre-order, getting to the last part where I would charge my CC. but my total is $300 with only .65 cents in taxes. I'm in California and it should be $64. I already have an in-store pre-order and traded it my device in, but I am now pulling my hair why at sprint.com i'm not getting charge taxes.... 2yr renewal price!

Best buy has there own trade in program, it's different from the Samsung promo. You get a 200$ bb gift card for any working smart phone, and they say *any* smart phone, no 10$ minimum like Samsung promo. My friend is turning in an old Treo.
Also the Samsung promo will not be honored if note 4 purchased at best buy.

That's freakin sweet. Only having to pay $100+ taxes, and hand in my eVo 4g lte, that's awesome. This phone has about had it, just 7 more days.
