The battery meter only counts by 10s. That is just plain stupid.

Seems to be a Moto thing. I had no idea other phones went by any other increments until I got my NS.
The Motorola Backflip reported actual numbers, not by 10s.

Guess it's not a Moto thing then (per se). Eh, I can't provide any rationale for it, all I know is my D1 counted by tens.
This is quite obnoxious.

I find it kind of funny. A friend of mine pointed out the Droid Bionic the other day... since he's on Verizon and i'm on AT&T. Pretty much the only difference between the two that i can tell is that the Atrix has the fingerprint reader.... and is slightly thinner and such.

Well the Nexus One is supposed to be unlocked, so therefore, you could also always use AT&T if they have got good service in your area.
The hardware specs are nice, but the handset is a brick. If they could have only put some effort into an elegant design.

It's already better than the Nexus One (ugly). This thing is svelte. I'm glad it still has the antenna bump because it's the reason why our reception is good. The Fascinate doesn't have this bump and it has some reception issues with losing service because of the smaller antenna.
- The speakerphone will rock
- SAMOLED
- Flash for those that need one
- LED Notification light for those that need one
- GPS is probably going to work out of the box
- Stock Android
- Good Reception, better than the Nexus One that's for certain
- PERFECT size
- Updates handled by Google
I don't think the Nexus S has super amoled, does it?
That phone is the reason that the Vibrant will probably never see Android 2.3 (or won't for another 6 months or so).
Unless the Nexus S is sporting a 1280x760 screen then its not worth considering if you already have a Vibrant

The Nexus One has a lot of roms so maybe the Nexus S will have a ton too.
But a lot of devs are HTC fanboys too so idk
This is what I've been waiting for! I'm gonna need to upgrade my signature - a new Nexus is what I need in my life!
as it says, anyone find out if it has it? source would be nice too if anyone can find one.
Most likely. No confirmation on that specific yet.

Yeah motoblur up until that sucks. This actually looks decent and seems quick.
I still have a Droid X my kids use for watching videos and playing games and I had to do a bunch of stuff to get gingerbread on it. Once done, Gingerbread is a well polished machine by comparison to previous versions. It adds the LITTLE THINGS that iPhone users tend to enjoy. I liked it and give it a big thumbs up.

I didnt post what you quoted so I cant speak for him but I will elaborate, slightly. I have gingerbread CM7 on the Captivate and there are several things I like about it.
First and formost, and this is petty, the screen does the "crt monitor" screen on/off effect animation thingy. Its superficial, but awesome. There are several other interface changes that are an improvement imo.
Secondly, native wifi internet calling via SIP. It still takes some setting up and know how but you only have to read to learn.
Of course there are "speed" improvement like always.
Theres a Download (manager) app.
Finally, security. You probably read about that already.
It's official Verizon has started testing a Gingerbread build (2.3.5), though I want to know why the battery meter is the same as now, and it's not the green standing up battery meter that we are familiar with on the other Galaxy S phones.

Is a Build.prop.edit a bad thing? If that's the case I think I'm just going to go ahead and root and see if I can use EI20. The problem is once I put EI20 on my phone, I won't be able to update anymore right? It will be nice to have my phone Bingless though.

Quadrant is a bit bunk I agree with that, but I noticed that on Galaxy S phones running 2.3.4 and higher that the Quadrant scores have been reading anywhere from the low 1400s to the low 1700s. I just wanted to know what they changed in Gingerbread that made the phones a bit more responsive.
That said bro, /beg would be nice to see some screenies.
I'm really wondering how EH03 matches up against EI20 on the generic sch-i500(Showcase) or how it matches up to EH09 on the Mesmerize.

Too bad none of the leaks are stable...nothing but problems with force closings, random loud static while on calls and other various problems. I think Verizon is actually swapping them for totally different devices if you call and complain...

From what I heard, the leak is pretty good, everyone says the phone has really sped up with this Gingerbread build, not only that, but for once when you hit the search button it goes directly to Google search, no more Bing crap. That said, Bing is still on the phone, but much less prevalent.
What kind of Quadrant scores are you getting with Galaxy S Epic 4G Gingerbread official release?
