I think they can do very little about it. But if they can, till you wait you can use media player capable of decoding various video codecs.
Perfect choice is Rock Player, which can play almost anything, and because has two engines, simple codecs can be played with HW acceleration which saves battery, and rest by software.
What is nice, it supports wide range of subtitles and all features including encoding which you can simply choose in settings.
Search Rock Player in Android Market
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=chiO4vXlcPI&feature=related
yeah tried that still black screen
oi install the new rockplayer update then
I have the same pb with TV other 3G+ (sound is ok but screen is black)

A good videocamera-app???

Hey everyone,
I'm searching for a good app to shoot videos on my
WildFire... although, no success...
I'm using Vignette Pro for shooting photos which is Awesome.
But the video-function can't seem to work for me.
I've tried Qik but can't seem to find the .apk that suits my device.
So now I'm looking for an other app that can shoot videos.
Can anyone help me out?
Bumpy bump...
Anyone?
U use cyanogen?
Sent from my HTC Wildfire using XDA App
Yes, CyanogenMod 6 latest release (Stable).
Why?
Any video cameras working for stock wildfire?
Sent from my HTC Wildfire
Camera360 Ultimate,
awesome app
Vignette is as good as Camera360 and you can find the
full version .apk easilly online. The problem is that it gives an error
when I'm trying to film something... :S
I use cyanogen with nightly 60
,i installed diffrent versions, but every one he crashes.
Sorry for bad english

Is there anyway to film in mp4 on stock froyo?
I'm using VignettePro too. It never crashes when I switch to video mode. I'm using stock ROM though
It looks like there isn't any functional video recording app except stock HTC camera. So you must use Sense ROM if you want this. I use Openfire ROM, and have same problem. Vignette records video, but quality is really horrible.
sry if bad englesh
Is there any app that will increase the recording resolution? Seeing as other 2.2 devices got HD recording with the update, maybe HD would be too much for the Wildfire, but an overclocked CPU surely could handle at least 640x480 if not a bit more?

720p playback lagging

Recording in hd/high resolution is okay, but the 720p playback is superlaggy. Does anybody know how to fix this?

what? you can record in HD resolution? 720p? mine's only working with camcorder preset set to High.
720p playback not tested yet, if you want maybe you can share a little sample-movie to some file hoster (multiupload.com) maybe then more people are likly to test. by the way what bitrate for video and sound you had in your 720p file? codec and file extension?

Video camera

Is anyone unhappy about the video camera quality recording on sense gingerbread Roms?
Sent from my Desire HD using XDA App
Everyone is unhappy with the dhd recording.
Sent from my Desire HD using XDA App
Actually, I think my DHD gives an amazing result with video recording than pretty much any other smartphone I've seen. Sure its NOT very easy to get that result, but I'm ok with it as long as I can get a good result.
(My DHD is 2 month old and is not rooted as yet)
Would a card on his way out create problems like lag?

Recommend a video camera app

So the video camera app is pretty useless due to the horrible auto focus on speed, so I need a new one - any recommendations that works well with the G2. Has to be able to record [email protected]
//M
Try ProCapture. I've used it for a long time, it's even better on the G2 and does [email protected] Just tested it and focus seems to be fairly good.
I have the paid version, but they have a free one to try before you buy.

Install lgCamera from the Play Store. It's the best replacement I've found for the video issue. I've been using the free for a bit, seems to work so I'll likely shell out the dough to buy it outright.
I've tried several apps (Lenovo Super Camera, Focal, a few others whose names I forget) and none of them worked as well for me as the lgCamera did. Good luck.

Unfortunately it cannot record 60fps.
Tap to focus
Does anybody know of a video camera app that has tap to focus rather than continuous autofocus?
