Ok i have Cm7 RC1 loaded but for some reason i cant connect to 3g or wifi so im guessing its the prl. i cant do a update perl since well u know. So how would you load a perl manually hopping this will fix my issue.
Unless anyone has ideas on why i cant. I cant connect to wifi also.
You can only load a PRL on a sense ROM. You'll have to flash back and update. You can do it over air using the update prl option, or you can do it manually with ##data# if you have the older epst.apk. Check out the verizon hack thread in the ROM development section for more info. Sorry, there's no way to do it in an AOSP ROM.

ok so which rom has sense so i can do this? im using CM7 RC1 or can u tell me how to install the nightlies from the zip file? i can download them from cyanogem site #1 and 2. im not sure how to do it through rom manger. maybe the perl will be updated in one of those.

Some of my apps keep losing their names. Seems like it's whenever I do any type of large file transfer to or from the SD card. (ie downloading a megaupload file through browser or recording a video w/ camcorder)

I just got the Hero a few days back. I used to have a G1 so I'm familiar with how to do all this stuff, but I'm unsure what ROM to use.
Can anyone recommended a decent CDMA rom? I'm not looking for too much modification. I'm looking for an optimized rom with admin access.

I'm asking that because I am behind a proxy on my computer and I can't get the basic emulator to connect to internet with this proxy.
I thought I can use "Proxy settings" in the cyanogen rom to connect my emulator to internet...

I've already tried this link, but it seems that with latest cyanogenMod this procedure does not work anymore.
Did you manage to do it with CM 5.0.6 or 5.0.7 (which adds proxy support)? If so can you give me your system.img ?

I tried by doing a nandroid backup but it's not working (every app is FCing once the emulator is launched). I think it's because the kernel has changed in CM 5.0.7 but not sure, don't know a lot of things about rom kitchen..
I would also like to try a CyanogenMod image on the emulator. Anyone know how to create a .img file that can be used?

Hi my Wildfire is rooted and I have Wildpuzzle running on it.I have a couple of questions,how can I find out if I have the latest version of a ROM? I know there are many differant versions, but how can I see if mine is up to date? Is there any kind of time stamp or date that I can look for?
The next thing is that I have the app setCPU but the rom I have does not seem to support overclocking so do I need to flash a new rom or can I just flash a differant Kernel that supports over clocking?
Next I seem to be running out of space on my sd card, I have the app ROM manager but I do not see an option for deleting files from the sd card.Is the only way to do it by connecting the phone to a pc and delete the files that way?

1.Go to seettings>About phone>software information.
there you can find the software version where you can see the ROM version.
2.just flash a kernal which supports overcloaking.
3.download any file managers.there are lot avalible on market.
To find the latest version, check back in your rom's thread from time to time... the latest update is shown by the date. For cm7, check out the teamdouche mirror for nightlies.

OK I did a nandroid backup and have flashed Wildpuzzle ROM V8 then restored everything using Titanium backup and everything seems good but now Android market is not working.A box pops up saying the application process Android Market has stopped working please try again.
Must I uninstall it? Then where do I re-install from?Any ideas why this has stopped working?I think its something to do with the initial phone set up and registering with google but I cant rember how the phone was originally set !

Edit I must stop panicking.I went to Menu>settings>applications>Manage applications, then found Market and cleared cache and cleared data and its now working OK

Stop using the old wildpuzzle rom which has that bug, and use the new wildpuzzle.
Don't know why you're even using that version when it got abandoned when official froyo came out.

Hi I switched from the Wildpuzzle Rom I was using to what I thought was a newer one to use over clocking. I thought I had moved from v4 to v8 I went to the thread on this board and downloaded what I thought was the latest version.Now I`m confused any link to the latest version?

I used [ROM] aospCMod | AOSP 2.3.3 / CM7 (Gingerbread) [03/01/2011] no problems except I cannot access the internet other than Wifi connection. Sprint support explains I need to do something with profiles under menu settings about phone. Well, there's no such function. Can someone help me set up those profiles... my gmail works, market but only through wifi.

Could be talking about updating your profile. To do this, you will need to Nandroid your current rom, and flash back to your stock rom. Under the settings, you will have the option to update profile. Might as well do the PRL well your there.
Once done, flash back.
He's exactly right. There's an NFX Rom floating around here that's already rooted.
Any old sense rom will do to update your prl and profile. If you have your original nand from when you rooted, just use that. I keep a sense nand on my SD card for just such purposes. Mine just happens to be iced honeybun.

You could try to adjust the apn settings and see if that changes anything for you

It also might be your radio, try flashing different ones and make sure you have good coverage

I had the same problem, but I set my APN up for simple and also flashed my radio to the latest available and it is working tons better now.

Set your APN for simple mean what?I think this could not be an APN issue,because if i have entered wrong APN settings,i will not able to get connect to intenet.I can surf internet,no.Problem is it is extremely slower on every ICS ROM i flashed...Ah.My carrier is Airtel.

I use this and it has fixed my data speed every time.
1. Download the 3g turbocharger from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=979490&d=1333415041
2. If you don't have script manager, get it from the play store.
3. Navigate to the 3g turbocharger download.
4. Click it and select run as root (icon is the superuser logo)
5. Run the script and select your speed settings. Reboot twice to ensure the build.prop tweak works.
6. Verify your data speeds with speed test and test each setting to find fastest speed.

Seems this is only from me.Scince this us only happing to me,no one gonna fix that because they have not that problem.I understood.I tried everything i know.I aslo tried by editing build.prop..But nothing changed.I will hang on GB untill SENSE ICS ROMs gonna stable,because SENSE is the slove for this..
