you guys need to read directions thoroughly.
I've had CM7 on my Vibrant weeks ago.
you can use the ToggleHeadset widget for the headphone status:
http://xda.theonlytech.com/files/ToggleHeadset.apk
plus if u want a data connection, you have to flash the vibrant modem in a special way.
extract the modem.bin out of whatever modem.zip you want.
next place it in your internal sdcard
after you have installed CM7
open terminal emulator and type:
Code:
su
busybox dd if=/sdcard/modem.bin of=/dev/block/mtdblock5
enjoy your mobile internet connection.
THIS ROM is not meant for n00bs.
If you can't get it to work, you're a n00b.
no offense, but it's the truth.
EDIT:
I went ahead a created some flashable zips that only work for CM7.
!DO NOT USE ON ANYTHING BUT CM7!
Okay so that was Scrizz's you tube acct... Scrizz care to chime in dude? Was that the 2.3 port that dual boots found in the dev section or was that something you were testing for maybe Krylon 360?
Edit: that is in fact a cm7 port!!!.. Cannot wait until this is widely available in the dev section... Thanks for uploading the version of the vid with better audio Scrizz...

There's ability, and then there's willingness.
I could slaughter a cow, gut/skin it, cut off a slab, grind it and grill it... Or I could do drive-thru.
Using and shooting through alpha builds is fun in its own way but some of us just can't be arsed.
Any particular reason the film was sped up?

I got everything loaded. A few issues I am not able to resolve and did not find a fix for in the FAQ/Q&A thread on the CM forums hopefully Scrizz or someone just as knowledgeable can get me going in the right direction.
1. Headphone icon on notification bar on = no sound, Noticed on another thread that a toggle widget would fix it, was not able to find one.
2. Vol buttons reversed.
3. Home and Search softkeys not working. FAQ from CM suggested to wipe to fix home key, Tried like 4 times no dice.
If I can get those to work then this will be a Daily Driver for sure.

Sent from my Incredible using XDA App
For what it is worth, I can state that this will install using recovery 2.5.0.5, as I just got done doing so.
Yep, i've reverted back as far as ROM manager allows and so far so good with backing up any ROM and flashing any ROM
As far as this Honeycomb port goes, I wish I had this on my Gtab. Obviously needs some work, but wow this is a 10 on the cool factor. Who cares who did it or not, these Dev's deserve mad respect for their time and hard work. I actually approached the dev for a port on the Gtab and he says he's been trying, but still no luck. As an owner and avid Gtab forumster, I can say that many people on the Gtab forums would consider this guy a god if he were successful on porting this over.
Everybody chill out about the drama and give props where it's due. This is awesome news and fantastic work.
Yes, it is. Is there another recovery I could use?
Sent from my ADR6300 using XDA App
Yea go into rom manager and at the bottom it has older recoveries use a 2. whatever one.
flashed for a little but forgot to install gapps. pretty useless right now most stuff doesnt work. along with the bad lag its also pretty hard to navigate since its made for a tablet. things are really small and the mouse has to be moved with the toggle which is a pain in the ass among many other things. might go back to it and try gapps just for ****s and gigs. otherwise useless. will be cool when the bionic comes out and a port comes to that.
So far I've only seen a couple.can someone make a list??I already saw the wiki page it helped a bit but not much lol. I wanna see if anyone got any luck with different kernal combinations.

if you have fastboot set up it's easy, just use this code:
Code:

where CWM-3.0-recovery-preludedrew.img is the path to 3.0 recover which you can get from the post

its similar to the way you use adb. it should be a part of the sdk, but you can find it to download easy enough if you just google it / some tutorials should pop up too on how to set it up. basically fastboot and adb (from my admittedly new knowledge of android) are two different tools that interact with the phone from your computer. as such, they're installed the same way

You can look it up on the IRC for evo, posted in the general thread. Also here. This is Toast's build, but it's been pretty good to me so far, although I like Evervolv's theme more. I think Prelude takes toast's cm and add's his own improvements, or at least the kernel.

Toasts kernel is a must-have for wimax support, no sense in trying to restart that whole adventure again when you can ask toastcfh for permission (out of sincerity) and just compile that kernel and include with the packages.
Evervolv is in no way, shape or form CM. Of course preludedrew may opt to turn to the CM guys for help, that's what this community is all about. As I said, though, preludedrews roms are his own creation, not just relabeled cyanogen(mod) builds.

IDK maybe I'm wrong but from what I've read you have to do certain little tweaks to get things to work correctly and I don't go through all the little processes to find out I dont like the ROM.
However, I'm probably just making things up in my head...

If your roaming when you setup the phone then you have to turn on National or International Data Roaming, depending on location of course.

[Script] V6 SuperCharger! HTK & BulletProof Launchers! The ONLY Android MEMORY FIXER!
I dont know if anyone has seen this yet, but I didnt see any posts here about this wonderful tweak. This is not my work, I just used it on the newest leak gingerbread 2.3.4, with chris41g EG22 kernel+ and it works great. thanks go to "Zeppelinrox". I didnt copy and paste his work here cuz I didnt wanna take from his greatness, lol.. If you got questions about this, please see his thread. Dont forget to hit his THANKS button!!! Spreading the Epic Love!!
Check out his thread here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=991276
Using chris41g's kernel you've already got most of the good stuff of that tweak. I just added a single line to the end of /system/build.prop ("ro.HOME_APP_ADJ=1") to make the launcher stay loaded in memory. I run with about 85 megs free memory that way, and I load a lot of stuff (Lookout, Tasker, several keyboards, superbox, 5 screens of widgets, etc.).
Well I thought it might help someone out that is a bit less knowledgable than yourself about these type things. but thats a nice pointer to keep home in memory!!
Can you use this on froyo as well? And do I just flash the zip or is it more complicated?

the way I did it is I downloaded "busybox installer", and install busybox 1.18.2 or lower, I then downloaded "Script manager" from the market. Then download the v6 Supercharger.txt file and place it on the root of my sdcard ( root meaning, not inside any folders ) then open "Script Manager" and select "V6 Supercharger.txt", make sure to check "RUN AS ROOT". Then FOLLOW his thread as for the other steps. But I do know its as easy as just selecting a number and hitting "enter", ( I selected 9 then 11), once that runs thru, reboot, open it back up and selecting number "11 or "12", and running it, then reboot, and your done.
On another note, if you read his post, you would've read that it should work for most OS's within Android.
also I just seen that this was posted in the Q and A section. my apologies.

My friend is currently trying to get a version that we can flash, because normally it just transfers straight from adb. He has to fix permissions and symlinks of the dump. Hopefully if everything goes right we should have a build by tonight

what happened to the thread you posted with the precompiled zip?? I was able to pull it up on google cache, but it's deleted from XDA for some reason.
was there an issue with the build that caused it to get pulled?? I'd like to try it out since I've already got your zip.
