I keep getting this message. I use mikg 2.5-2.58. It just pops up randomly. Any ideas?

area code
had that happen the other day to someone in our contact list we sent a text to. the phone didn't use the area code. we resent and it went fine.
That's the weird thing. I didn't send or receive anything. It just pops up

I googled this and I saw a lot of posts from like 6 months ago but nothing recent. Not sure if its network related or my phone.

No idea why?

You too? Just random out of no where?

sounds like an outage in the area, call sprint and find out.
I get similar messages out of the blue, but nothing about digits... I usually just acknowledge them and carry on with my day. The recipients still get my texts, so...yeah. No harm no foul, I figure.

yeah you probably have a virus on your phone, it's silently sending out text message advertisements to random numbers
I wonder if it's an app. It happens on every rom, even after full wipes

It's more like it gives me a random error out of it's pool of them right as soon as I hit send...but they still get them anyway.

That happens to me every time I get a voicemail or a missed call

Alright, I might have an answer for this one. My daughter was playing with my girls phone the other day and they kept dialing my number so my daughter could hear my voice on the other end. So my daughter was mashing numbers and what not on the phone. I then received like 8 of these same messages on my phone. What I believe is the issue is when the voicemail prompt comes up you can enter a phone number or a "page" of some sort...if that is sent with invalid or too few numbers, it delivers THOSE messages.

I've gotten it for the reason above add area code.
I hold down the #1 to activate voicemail and the second it connects it immediately hangs up and says goodbye. This happens 4 out of five times, the fifth it connects as normal.
Anyone know what the he'll is going on here?
Thanks!

Isn't the voicemail thing a network fault, not the phone?
I use a free service for my voicemail called HulloMail, get the app from the market and follow the instructions, you'll get the ability to have the voicemails emailed to you and pushed to your phone with their app as well as the old fashioned way to call up by holding #1

Hi there,
I've encountered this weird problem on my rooted Nexus 4. Let's say I enter a phone number to call. When I hit the "call" icon,
1) the phone number is called
2) the call (which hasn't yet been established) is disconnected immediately. This happens in a split of a second. I actually shot a video and then played it frame by frame to actually figure out what's happening.
3) and finally the call is made as usual. Everything is normal from this point on.
This happens for every outgoing call. Same thing happens if I choose a number from the contact list to dial.
I tried uninstalling the apps that I was suspicious about but it didn't help. I also booted in safe mode but I could still observe the problem.
I'd really appreciate any help. I'm more than willing to try something to get a log, trace, etc. to help in identifying my problem. I just don't know how to do that.
Cheers,

My Boss's new Galaxy S4 is dialing on its own. Has happen 3 different times and one of the times it even called 911. Also Motion (I believe that is what it is called) is turned off.
Has anyone ran into this issue??
Thanks
The only thing I could think of is something pressing the phone and opening up the emergency dialer it has happened to me before even when the phone is locked it'll open up the emergency dialer at times where you can make like 911 calls

That was my first question to him. It was just sitting on the counter when it happened. The second time it happened he actually took a video of it the digits going across the screen.... "Ghost in the Machine"?? lol
Having this crazy issue. Everyday now my contacts, texts and recent calls all seem to disappear/display blank and not return even after reboots and then they randomly show back up. No specific timeframe.
This is on the Stock Tmobile G2. Anyone else seen this?
