Is it possible to disable this on the Desire HD?
I am referring to the physical home, menu, back and search buttons.
Uncheck "Haptic Feedback" in Sound settings.

Is it possible to only have the keyboard make a clicking sound or quick vibrate.
I don't want any other actions to make sounds.
I have noticed that using the touch keyboard it sometimes does not pick up key presses. Would be good to have it make a small sound when a keypress is detected.
Interesting enough have enabled screen sounds and the keyboard seems quicker to respond and no longer suffers issues with dropped keypresses.
YES
YES its possible,
1. deactivate "vibrate" in Settingsmenu >> TOUCHFLO ,
2. install app " TouchResponse" .. just search it here in the forum
3. activate option "vibrate on keyboard only"
have fun..
How do I get rid of the haptic feedback on the keyboard? It really not needed when I have vibration on press on anyway.
disablling
it can be done in the settings
if using touchflo
settings
all settings
if not using touchflo
start
settings
personal tab
input (keyboard icon)
options
untick - vibrate when keys are pressed
that should sort it for you
Any one figure out how to turn off the vibrate while typing on keyboard, without turning off the haptic touch buttons at the bottom?
I wasvtrying to do it too, no option it seems. Hopefully somebody has better ideas though.
Can turn off Haptic feedback in Sound and display but that turns off all Haptic feedback on the phone but it will make it stop giving you feedback on the samsung keyboard
Yeah, don't see any settings for the 'vibrate on keypress' for the Samsung Keyboard. Only advice I could give would be to use the Swype Keyboard (you don't actually have to swipe. You can still type) and disable 'vibrate on keypress' in Swype's settings.
The "Mute Ring" soft button on the incoming call screen was not working on my HD2.
It turned out to be that I was using PocketShield and had the "Block Hardware keys" enabled on the "Incoming Call" section of the "Phone" tab. Disabling this feature allowed the "Mute Ring" button to work.
Just though to mention this if anyone else is having this problem and are also using PocketShield.
It is because the Mute command on the HTC dialer is tied to a hardkey press event (volume key, it shouldn't but it is). So if you tell PS to block volume keys on incoming call those events will be blocked, the HTC Mute button will not make any effect.

Click to collapse
So there is no way to block the "Send" button from answering a call AND allow the "Mute" button to work?
Sure, at PocketShield Settings > Phone > Block hardware keys > +
any update?
