I hve radio 2.22.23.02 on mytouxh 3.5mm and
How do I upgrade radio?
Or yea because all Roms are 3.22 or 6.35 please help

SERIOUSLY...you obviously didn't search very well. DO NOT TOUCH YOUR RADIO!!!! The myTouch 1.2 (3.5mm jack) will only work with the stock 2.22.23.02 radio!
Oh so I use g1 roms
Sent from my SGH-T959 using XDA App
Wait but the g1 roms have other radio
Sent from my SGH-T959 using XDA App
If it specifies a certain radio you besides the 2.22.23.02 then it probably will not work. You'll need to look for ROM's that only specify 32B devices.
If you want to try a ROM, then just make sure you make a backup of the one your using now, then flash it. Worst case scenario, if the ROM doesn't work you'll just get stuck in a boot loop. Then you can just pull the battery, boot back into recovery and restore your nandroid backup and start over.
Okay so is it an eb1 device?

You can only use ROMs made for the MyTouch 1.2/Fender/LE/whatever-you-call-it - there are a few in the Development forum.

Not true. Any 32B ROM that doesn't need a specific 32B radio should work. There's a guy I talked to a week or so ago that uses nothing but G1 ROM's on his myTouch 1.2. Also to add, any ROM based off of CyanogenMod will work.

No it's not.
Just imagine that your phone is a regular MyTouch 32B device except the fact that it's not recommended to change the spl or radio. That simple.

MyTouch 3g 32B stuck on Green Boot Screen (Boot Loop)

Hi Guys,
I need some help. My MyTouch 3g 32B is stuck on the green mytouch boot screen when I turn on the phone right after I tried flashing a custom rom. I tried wiping and reflashing as well as starting over from scratch with the original Cupcake build and updating it to the Froyo 2.2.1 OTA. I want to continue installing custom roms. Please help!

(I was not able to stay on 1.5 or 1.6 OTA after downgrading because of Google Activation issues)
You need to flash a 2708 kernel after flashing the ROM.

He does't need to re-root, he just needs a different kernel then what comes with CM 6.1 (which is what he's trying to flash).
Didn't he un root and then update to 2.2 ota like in his post. I assume he didn't mean ezterry's 2.2 ota. I could be wrong. Then again he wouldn't have problems with continuing to flash roms.

Listen to what the man (DonJuan692006 ) tells you!
Donjuan is right. Flash a 2708 kernel. I'm running 2.2.1 as well and needed the new kernel to stop the boot loop

Actually you are correct sir. He will need to re-root and re-install the custom recovery if he did in fact go back to pure stock, re-flash CM 6.1, and then flash a new kernel.

Do a search for pd15img.zip.

Look in the development section. There are a ton of step by step guides if you search.

Find the above file, have it saved to root of sdcard, boot into bootloader, bootloader will find the file on the card and prompt to install the stock image... follow prompts and done.
Nandroid first but really is easy.

I first flashed the 2.2.1 OTA. Then I flashed the stock recovery. Afterwards, flashed the stock radio. That's what I did. All are available in the Development section.

You could have used pd15img.zip to do all of that in one flash via hboot.
It's safer to flash back to the stock radio first to avoid getting stuck in a limbo situation in which attempting to flash back to stock results in "Main version older" with radio s-on rather than do it all in one step.

This guide should solve your problem. It involves hex editing the misc.img among other things to allow you to successfully flash back to stock.

If you used the gfree method of rooting, the following guide is pretty good:

Hope this helps.

UnRoot??

Okay so I wanna unroot my Mytouch but I saw in a thread some one bricked there phone by flashing the PD15MG while having a different radio.....I have the latest gingerbread radio and was wondering doesn't the file supposes tto flash everything back to stock? And what is the safest way to UnRoot I used the GFree method btw
Sent from my HTC Glacier using XDA App
If you have the latest radio you need to find the stock radio first. Some where in the development section someone has it in a PD15IMG zip by it's self. If you don't and you try the full it will give you a main version is older error.
And gfree won't work with the new radio.
Use this method, if you follow it to the T you will be ok

Flash a new radio on a unrooted phone.

Is it possible.
Sent from my HTC Glacier using XDA App
I'm pretty sure it is but personally I wouldn't try it.
Sent from my HTC Glacier using XDA Premium App
If I remember correctly you can't. You need to be fully rooted meaning s-off. Basically s-off means radio sercurity off, among other things turned off. If you try to flash anything through clocklworkmod recovery without s-off,either nothing will happen or your phone will be bricked an you will have to buy a complete new phone. Best thing to do is fully root(s-off). If you need help rooting your phone, send me a pm,an ill help you out.

You're right that you must be rooted to flash in recovery, but you do not flash radios in recovery. They are flashed in the bootloader, and I'm not sure root access is required to flash a PD15IMG.zip file in the bootloader. I'm leaning towards root not being required, but I don't know for sure. Might as well go ahead and try it. The worst that could happen is you get the "access denied" message and the installation aborts.
I was thinking that about the radio, I just flashed my first one. After having my phone rooted for 6months. Only reason why I said root the phone. Is to make sure he has full control over the phone. An it takes some risks out, some but not all.

Yea, I was about to say you don't use cwm to flash a new radio but you got it. : P lol

Radios can be flashed in bootloader - otherwise stock firmware updates wouldn't be able to upgrade radios - but they most probably need to be signed to be flashed by S-ON bootloader. In that case, the answer to the OP would be "no".
