I have i9000 and would like to buy Samsung Galaxy tab as soon as possible.
I need to have at least one pcs in September.
I found few links:

They confirm they will have for sale on 13 October, price is confirmed too!!

there is no information about availability but I expect answer from them. 899$
there is none on ebay yet.
Sorry to burst you bubble, but the prices aren't yet confirmed, and I'm near certain that they will be released by mobile carriers first. Clove and expansys have had them listen for some days now, and indeed probably since the announcement, but they are guessing at the prices. As for delivery date... Well they might have a concrete date for delivery, but I don't think there has been anything from samsung that we know of, so they could be guessing at that too, since we know 'early october'.

looks like first delivery will be in october. But their ebay account say that they already sold 3 pcs.

Just because they put a standard sticker on the page saying ' price confirmed' in no way means that its true. Its just to get people to pre order from them over anyone else.
They is STILL no official announcement on price.

There is no rush to buy this, you are better off waiting, there will be excess supply for at least a few days after pricing is announced. You aren't catching any better deals by rushing either, just asking for price gouging.
ummm...
i am thinkin about going to koria
is that any good - graping the device-wise -
If I recall correctly, the device is coming to the EU first anyway, so going to korea might not actually speed anything up at all. Also, although I couldn't speak to the exchange rate, but since Korea is likely to be a hot market, the prices could be artificially high at release, so keep that in mind to.
Its also worth to keep in mind that the Korean version will be CDMA (ie like a verizon/sprint devce) and not a GSM one, which will mean that you won't be able to use the mobile data connection in Europe at all because it won't have the right radio.
I would like to buy one pcs no metter what praice is. Even if is 1000euro. But really need that device before the others.
I am sure that some pcs will be ready on market before others. Probably like late September. But on stock's world wide will be from 15 October.

Also, anyone know anything about what the launch date will be in the UK?

Wow that is ridiculously high. If thats a final price they most certainly wont sell crap. Not only will Apple own them but also the Playbook. I was planning to buy this tablet but now im concerned about the pricing. They need to sell this tablet at a reasonable price of $400-$600 dollars. However, I doubt this will be how much it costs. It mostly likely will go down. Wayyyy down.
Here here.
Looks like a great device, but they can't be serious about that pricing?
£500 max, absolute max. Just because the iPad is overpriced, doesn't mean Moto can get away with outpricing the overpriced.
Would be a tragedy for such a good device to fail or sell poorly purely due to pricing.
Most of us did not count in the price of the accessories yet… I think we need at least a standard dock which will cost us approximate another US100.
I wont pay more than USD1k for a tablet that does not support SD card, it is too far away from the budget for a tablet. I will focus my attention to the alternative android 3.0 tablets from Asus & Acer which will costs us approximate $400-$700.
I hate those webshops that try to profit from early adopters..
Wait....is this wifi only version or have 3G???

The rumor is that the iPad 2 will be cheaper than the original. If the prices I'm seeing on this are true, and the rumors hold for iPad 2 there is no way I can drop that kind of coin on a Xoom.

I haven't heard of a wifi only version for Europe. The information available is very vague though.
I don't think we should worry about these pricing rumours. The Nexus S was overpriced for a week before release and the Galaxy Tab was overpriced in the weeks/months before release too. These are almost certainly just guesses, we don't even know if there is an option for carrier subsidy, Wi-Fi only, etc yet

No. They wanted to release it early, so they are going to add SD support and enable the LTE bands on the data model.

My past experience with android device told me not to trust any update/upgrade promise from the manufacturer. The update/upgrade will never come true as soon as your expectation. with this unacceptable high pricing, I wont consider it until it had supported SD card.
BTW, does Xoom support USB Host mode?
If another Android device has it I would think the Xoom would have it or easily get hacked to it.
Seems Mr Jobs was correct when he said that others could not match the pricing of the iPad.
I will go nuts if I pre-order and the price drops after a few weeks/months...
They should put it on contract £25 a month would be cool.then everyone could get one
Sent from my HTC Desire using XDA App
I'm not sure why everybody is going nuts because some "eXpensive" retailer has put a random pre-order price on their website.
Facts:
- Samsung Galaxy S pre-order on "eXpensive" website was €799,- (waaay overpriced)
- "eXpensive" already replaced their Xoom price with "Price Not Known"
- I've seen pre-order prices for Xoom as high as $1023,-
Chill everybody... just wait for Motorola to give us the official price point. Any day now.
I don't think that Motorola will make the same mistake as Samsung did with their Tab.
As for the iPad fans: I seriously doubt that the iPad2 will be cheaper then the current iPad. Expect the current iPad to drop in price, and better hope (for your sake) that the iPad2 price is equal but not higher then the iPad is today.

I only quote this from my brother in law. He works for an Apple Authorized reseller. I forgot the TIFWIW tags in my initial comments on that.
Looks like an 800$ US is a minimum...

Ok, before you all get your panties in a bunch. This WILL NOT be the pricing of the Xoom when it launches and I will give my left arm for that.
Can any of you remember back a couple months back before the Galaxy Tab launched in the UK? Prices were being quoted in the range of £650 and like a week after it launched you could get it for damn nearly half that.
It's these stupid sites like eXpansys and the like that jack up the pre-release prices before any actual prices have been announced.
At MAX it may start off at £599 on some sites then then sharply come down to between £450-550....that's my opinion but like they say 'opinions are like @ssholes, everybody's got them...'

If you're in the UK and bought a keyboardless transformer before April 22, you're eligible to buy a keyboard dock from Asus for 55GBP (~91USD)
Any chance of Asus doing that here in the States?
You cannot be moaning about the price of the dock compared to the UK 'early adopters' deal surely? ...Considering you got the tablet itself for $399.. we had to pay closer to $600 (those of us lucky enough to get some money off deals ordering via Comet that is) with the current exchange rate.. Lets stop this craziness now..
Seriously though.. i guess Asus is going for a slightly different strategy in the US.
Get the tablet out there with a great headline price, then mop up with the accessory at some later date..

A lot of that markup in the UK is for all that VAT/tax that is added in.
20% tax but its still overpriced by probably 100usd

They cannot be found here in the UK either. This has been pointed out quite a few times but seems to be falling on deaf ears. No one - except some reviewers and bloggers - has got a keyboard dock yet, even though who got in on this 'special deal' '. I read somewhere that those particular ones might be arriving next week, but I can't be sure about that.

It's definitely a good deal compared to the local competition. Even when you take the VAT out of the equation, we are being hosed on the tablet only price when compared to the US.
However, when you look at the bundle (which it seems won't be available in the US) or the "ilovekeyboards" offer, the price differential drops dramatically when compared to a US Transformer and separate keyboard (assuming the $150 price is accurate!) - A £429 tablet + keyboard bundle equates to around $555 when you exclude the VAT.
To be honest, I don't really understand Asus's strategy here as the iPad pricing is pretty similar between the US and UK (excluding VAT of course!), but since I'm getting a keyboard via "ilovekeyboards" the point is rather moot for me!

Dave

What I was trying to day was that the price of the iPad2 in the US and UK is broadly similar when you remove that VAT from the UK price. This is not true of the Transformer, but is mitigated somewhat by the lower cost of the dock.

What's the 'normal' price that they think they're gong to charge for it?
If they think owners are going to pay £100 or even £150 surely they're on crack
Any owner would save themselves some money by selling their secondhand unit and buying another new slate and keyboard combo.
i have emailed them twice now and still had no reply about the keyboard :/
I'm a Brit currently working in the US (Colorado) and am also caught up in the pre-order/stores out of stock mess, but can anyone from the US or UK answer the following question..........
Does the dock/keyboard have different layouts depending on where you buy it? For example on a yank keyboard the @ symbol is above the number 2, but on a brit keyboard by default it's above the ' symbol which would be pressed by your right hand little finger (by girls, secretaries and touch typists )?
I'm in Colorado for another 5 weeks and am wondering whether to chase the dock/keyboard over here and get it cheap or go back to the UK, get raped for my £££'s but get a 'proper' layout
Does anyone know when the 3G version will be released? I have read in many reviews that battery life on the WiFi is not that impressive, do you think Samsung would ship the 3G version with a larger battery?
in Malaysia the Note 8 is launched with the 3G version already, on Friday.
all specs remain the same throughout
Shame it could have done with a bigger battery by all accounts. I'll still get one, (im)patiently waiting for a 3G version, any colour, any storage size in the UK.
I have been using Galaxy note 8 n5100 as my main phone since i bought it last april 13 here in the Philippines, the battery is pretty good it can last 10 to 12hour, with moderate calls and always connected data, autosync on moderate browsing and email with minimal gps use, the battery on this phone is way better than galaxy tab 7 plus which it replaced as my primary phone

Currently, Samsung does not seem to have any plan or intention to launch a phablet version of the device in the US. You'll likely either have to wait for them to come to their senses, or buy an international version.

I'm interested for the the international version.
Heard anything about that?
The 3G price would seem to be hovering around the $800 mark based on eBay listings for the GT-N5100, but it's availability still seems up in the air. Hopefully someone outside of the US can point you towards a reputable international seller with stock.
Wow. It will be so expensive.
Thanks for your help.
The 3G version retails around $580 in Asia. Prices will come down on eBay very soon.
I'm waiting for it in the US as well. There's a site called Negri Electronics located in Las Vegas, that has a pre order page for it, listed at $660 at the time of this post. From what I've heard, the international version should be released April 30, but I haven't found any confirmation. As far as releasing s US version, I'm sure they'll release an LTE version sooner or later for use with CDMA networks like Verizon and US Cellular, but if you plan on getting it going on T-Mobile (like me), it'll only run on their 1900mhz frequency, which allows phone calls, but mostly 2g data speeds, unless you're in an area where they've refarmed the 1900mhz frequency to run HSPA speeds. Good luck and let's hope they bring this bad boy to T-Mobile!
Sent from my ARCHOS 80G9 using Tapatalk HD
^Yeah, I went ahead and put in my preorder for the 16GB 3G + WiFi N5100 from Negri Electronics last week. It was the least expensive site that I could find, and I know that they are a reputable seller. And since they are in Las Vegas shipping is relatively fast to the Los Angeles area.
Up until early yesterday the site said that the "Expected Availability" date was April 23rd, but just this morning (Los Angeles time) I checked again, and now it says May 8th. Gotta wait a bit longer now and I'm chomping at the bit as it is, LOL. Still, I wish it were closer to just ~$100 (or less) of a premium for the 3G/Phone version instead of the blatant raping that it is.
And we all know that Samsung would sell EXPONENTIALLY more of these if they matched the iPad Mini pricing, and actually released the 32gb versions at the same time as the 16gb base model, and for just $30-$40 more. At least we DO have the option to add microSD cards at a reasonable cost, but really Samsung?...a $100 more for a measly 16gb additional? That's just cwazy. (Yes, I have the same issue with Apple regarding this!) And Samsung makes the RAM memory chips so it's probably something like 50¢ more in actual production cost. :/
Yes. I still ordered one, but it was not an easy (or rational) decision that I made, LOL! It's actually just a bit depressing to contemplate spending so much for their "shiny plastic products", when the competition offer much nicer physical or cosmetic designs and materials (IMO), and at less cost.
I really believe that Samsung creates amazing products, and ergonomically I prefer most of their products over Apple's in that regard. However, they did miss the mark with the speaker and capacitive button placement on the Note 8.0. And I don't know what the designers were thinking with the camera protruding so much that the tab rocks from side-to-side when placed on a table, desk, etc. :/ So much for accurate use of the S-pen (the hero feature of this device)!
IMO, the Galaxy Tab 7.7 is the ONLY Samsung mobile electronics device that I can think of where I feel they came even close to matching the build quality and physical design of their competition. But once again, they priced it way out of the market. :/
And I don't mind the use of plastics one bit if they are used properly like the polycarbonates used in some of the higher-end Nokia and HTC devices. I truly feel that when Samsung gets their build quality up to par that the vast majority of the public will have no problem paying Apple-level prices (or more), and they'll sell a bazillion just like Apple does. But they're demanding premium prices, even over what Apple demands, but for an inferior physical design/build quality (IMHO). Why does Samsung not "get this"?!? People expect a BMW or Mercedes when they pay the price for one, not a Citroen (no offense to any Citroen owners).
With the Galaxy S4, if Samsung had just stepped-up the build quality alone (plus the 13mp camera), and nothing more as compared to the GS3, I would have purchased it. But with the same 'ol shiny plastic, its just a "Meh" product to me.
Also, I was really hoping that they would have included the hardware FM Radio tuner on the International version of the Note 8.0, just as they did on the Int'l SGS2, SGS3, Note (N7000), and Note 2. Initially, I didn't think that I would use the FM tuner at all, but I've found that I use it quite a bit...saves quite a bit on data as opposed to streaming.
LOL, sorry that I veered so off topic, haha. /END OF RANT
I am very much looking forward to using the new Note 8.0!

I suspect the a good chunk of the additional cost here is the license for the Wacom digitizer and related technology. Samsung is being extremely aggressive in their pricing and product diversity as a way to combat Apple, so I don't think they would risk letting a well loved brand like Apple undercut them without reason.

Agree, but Do you think that even more diversification would help Samsung?
I think they should think of introducing a Note 8.0 sans the digitiser. Then they can really target the iPad Mini. It would still be a great product as many online reviews (Engadget) claim so.
That would be the true spiritual successor to the 7.7

3560mAh battery
£250/$350/€320
If true, at that price I'm hugely tempted to move from my Xperia Z2.
While the specs are pretty decent, one of the other rumors Ive heard is that its coming with Lollipop. If I have a phone coming out in the next month or two, I want it to have Marshmallow or an absolute guaranteed timeframe of being upgraded. Granted, I am big on running ROM's but will the bootloader be unlocked to do so? And if so, how many developers will really jump on this phone to work on it?
From what I hear it ships with 5.1.1.
Marshmallow isn't even out yet is it? And is likely to be buggy are launch anyway. I doubt it'll be stable until towards the end of Q1 2016 so I don't think I'd want it shipping on a phone out this year.
That price looks way too low, and the battery rumors have been all over the place. Remember, that curved screens isn't cheap.
There is no chance of it being £250 - absolutely none. If you have followed BBRY as long as I have - they still think they can charge premium prices (partly why their devices bomb) and even after shedding a lot of staff their cost base would not support that - think at least £400.

We don't know how BB places this phone on the market. Premium Business Device or Hi-End Consumer Phone ? Neither both, It won't be cheeper than S6 or Note 5 because build quality looks good and and additional hardware always cost more.

There is no chance of it being £250 - absolutely none. If you have followed BBRY as long as I have - they still think they can charge premium prices (partly why their devices bomb) and even after shedding a lot of staff their cost base would not support that - think at least £400.

assuming that's about $500, that's about what I was thinking. It will be flagship priced, on the lower end, so $499 sounds like a sweet spot for Premium device that is still affordable. BB's most expensive phone is the Silver Passport, and that's $550, so I don't see it exceeding $599 to remain competitive. I saw a "leak" online somewhere from a Toronto channel that claims it will be 800 CAD, which is roughly $606.

At that kind of price Blackberry are pricing themselves out of the market really. If they want to shift units they're going to have to keep the price low when going up against other Android handsets.
I dont know if this was brought up or anything but does anyone know if this might have Qi(wireless) charging?

That's a good question. I've heard absolutely nothing about how it charges. We don't even know if it has fast charging either. Hopefully it has both.
Does it has type c USB?

All the leaks have shown a normal angular looking micro USB port.

I believe the new Nexus models and the upcoming Lumia 950 are the only phones launching this year with USB-C.

One plus two.
Plus a number of less known phone companies (Xiaomi, LeTV, etc)

I had a series of BB for 10 years. I miss the keyboard. I will have to try one of these and if they are close to the discussed price range will buy one. It looks like a large phone, however.
Sooo new spec sheets list the front cam as only 2 MP?? Is this an error or was the 5 MP rumor too good to be true? Not a deal breaker, but man, will THAT be disappointing. Awesome 18 MP Schneider Kreuznach lens on the back and... a camera from like 2005 on the front.
It's officially time, guys! Pre orders are LIVE!

$699 for the U.S. version. The front cam is 2 MP, but has a f/2.9" aperture with 1.75 micron pixels. I'm no camera buff, but that sounds good? Also, NFC confirmed, Fast charging confirmed, wireless charging confirmed... No compromises aside from the battery being non removable. Releases November 6. Still no word on whether the carriers will sell them directly.
I have no idea why they would remove wireless charging on all the models except for the US, as the specs stand. They did spend the money to test them in the lab, then last minute pull it all out?

That phone is elegant but I'm worried about the Slide keyboard thing, if it uses flex cable it will wear anytime. One thing, it doesn't have gyro sensor.

The mechanism is solid apparently.
