I asked this question 1 time and a forum member told me to get high resolution contact pics, you would have to upload the contacts to Tmobile website. I never tried it too much work lol. Try a couple if contact pics..I heard it works.

Notice that this is "poppajr11"'s first post. Notice this is "GiODi"'s fifth post. Notice this is "marka2k"'s 238th post.
You see actual members of this forums who have been around a while are nice to new members, even if they post in the wrong forums.
I would also like to point out that this is the right forum to post this question in seeing as it takes some ".dll" modification to make the picture larger and since this has a video dialer it is some what unique to the Hermes and the hack for the wizard would remove the video function.
Later, Lew
P.S. I know my post did not help this particular issue, but I did not want people thinking that the general forum community is mean to newbies.
Oh, and read the WIKI!!! jk.

Camera Picture Frames

I ran a couple searches through google and this site and didnt come up with anything. I was wondering if anyone was able to find and add more picture frames to their 8525. This phone can be changed so much I was hoping we could add to the 3 picture frames it comes with.
You're using the wrong search term. Look for camera templates instead.
e.g. http://xda-v.6te.net/
There is a tutorial to making your own here but the linked images are broken, I'm afraid
thats great!!!!!!!!!
thanks!!!
appreciated
if someone is registered there could you ask if they could rehost the pictures
there is 2 packs comercially available too i picked them up a few years ago. there was some fun ones in there.
ahhh I will just register and ask hahaha
this will be like the 7th forum I belong too now!

[REQ]: Special Camera Application?

hi!
i was just wondering if there's a special camera application, that allows to take pictures while the screen is off. does anyone know such a piece of software?
thanks in advance
for what reason ?
if you want to spy then buy one of these new pens with camera and voice recorder with usb support ;-)
cheers
I mentioned this in another thread a couple of weeks ago and agree it would be a cool application to either have the screen off or not have the camera display any info on the home screen. I have situations where I take pictures of textures and things and I always hate people asking what are you taking a picture of...? Well I hope this gets created.
if i'd like to be a professional spy, i wouldn't want to do this with my mobile
and i only wanna take some pictures, no vids or sound.
I agree with Boss428man.. whereby an active video screen on your PPC can attract too much attention, and thus having eyes o9n U, all wondering what youre trying to take.
Good for bloggers as well, when they wanna take shots of unusual happenings around them.
Perhaps a disguised screen with buttons/text (eg. calendar app) with the button actively taking shots from the camera... that'll be cool.
*bumb* any news on this?
Hi, hi, put a piece of black paper over your display an nobody will see you taking photos...

Ha ha, hi-tech!
BTW, this isn't too difficult if I get a chance over the weekend, i might give it a go.
PS, dont let that stop another DEV - i'm not about to make a fully functioning suite or anything like that!
Steve.
try ateksoft coolcamera if it supports your device. it has option to show nothing in preview screen. maybe it will work for you.
But not sure if there is good photo resolution available. Anyway give it try if you wish
P.S. it is not freeware.

Regarding contacts pictures

Hi guys, my first post in here...
i have a problem regarding my HTC touch HD.
In the contacts tab, i have noticed that the contact pictures which are saved in the favourites have been downgraded, they seem fuzzy as if the quality has decreased. Trying to erase them all and inserting news pictures appears to solve the problem but only temporarily, soon the quality decreases again and it becomes fuzzy (not as sharp) . please help.
thanks in advance
Contact Photos
You'll find the answer (and lots of other info) if you look in the Wiki (http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=HTC_Blackstone_tboy2000)

It depends how you selected the pic as your contact photo
If you use the camera tab and then select your pic and select it as contact photo from there it is a better quality
Hope that is clear enough
tahnks guys, i had a look at the wiki link, i think i know what the problem is now. IThis problem only appeared after i synched my gmail contacts to the phone, then the pictures appeared fuzzy. If can only know how to reverse this problems and delete the synchronization i think it may solve the problem.
but thanks a million !

[Q] Incoming calls Picture Blurry

Hello everyone.
I'm new to booting android os on my hd2 and see if anyone can help me out or show me to the right direction on a little problem I'm having. Sorry If I posted in the wrong forum. Is there a fix or a change of settings to correct the picture when receiving a incoming call. My pictures are coming out blurry, even though they look fine on the screen when I view them.
Thank You in advanced
i think i am just happy it works what about you

It happens to me to. Specifically when those pics come from the ones I assigned to the contact. If they are the default FB ones, they come right. Those you assigned, go to their personalized google contact, so, try to lok for a way to delete all previous pictures you have assigned in the past, and assign new ones. Please tell us how it goes.

Totally agree I see it as a work in progress.
We all know that it is not finished yet! If you don't know the reason for the problem don't post such comments please!
This is really annoying problem! I've tried to put a new pic to one of the contacts and even used the take photo option but still the pic is very bad! there is some kind of resolution problem here!
Thank you for the response everyone Don't get me wrong, I'm glad it's working the android roms, thank you all who contributed to the development, but I wanted to see if there was a solution someone had found and maybe they could share the wealth with all of us. to shadowhacker27, i tried changing the photos and even took photos from the camera but no luck. maybe if there was a way to resizing the picture maybe that would help.

ok i got it ..but how does this help development since your speaking for people
It's a fairly simple question. Android is nearly there, so don't criticise the questions if they haven't been asked before, just answer them or don't bother (that goes to everyone).
Just for your information RoyG, this occurs on a number of android devices I've used. So therefore it's just a Google related issue. The facebook photos display correctly because that's via the sense interface or the facebook app. So, AFAIK there is no fix as it's not HD2 related.
