What's up everyone, I am new to the forums and I recently perm-rooted my G2. GingerVillian runs great but I can't seem to get my games I've installed multiple times, to play on the emu's, when I load any game in rom grabber it auto sends me to the market to dl the light versions of both emu's every time seemingly not recognising my already installed emu's. Should I maybe try reflashing GV 1.5??

Maybe try reboot, and then if not work try reflashing. I don't know if either will help though.
Well poo, rebooted even after another re-install and that didn't do anything. Guess I will just try to reflash for now..

I finally got the latest version of SNESoid working on my CM7, are you on the newest version? I posted up the same thing and told to check version and it helped me, lol
Do I need to update with nightlies of Cm7 if I'm running GV 1.5??
No don't try to update with CM7 nightlies, as those are different from GV1.5, although GV1.5 is based on them. However, if you want to switch to them, that might help, who knows?

Still no luck. I reflashed and tried using just CM7 this time but Genisoid and Snesoid both do the same thing. I try to open a a game that was installed with rom grippper and it just won't load any games only the light versions will play them! Ahhhhhhhhhhhh! Can anyone help?

I recently rooted and installed GV 1.5 as well. im having the same problem with tiger gba and tiger genesis. In my case, the emulator ROMS app works fine and downloads roms, and the emulators start up, but when I load any of the games, it doesnt boot them, its just returns me to the select rom screen. i would appreciate any help on this matter. i thought it may be a case of the emulators not being compatible with gingerbread. I would be curious to know if anyone had a working emulator on any of the custom froyo roms.
The only emu that I have gotten to work is PSXdroid. None of the other ones work with CM7.

That's strange... I have cm7 rc1 and all those apps work for me including gensoid and gameboid. Did u try opening the app first and browsing to the rom thru the app?? It will ask u to browse to the bios fisrt, then u can continue browsing and load a game. Romgripper is cool for getting games, but why use it to load them up??

might be just because the aria has an arm6 processor that isn't powerful enough to run it? not sure.
Nah I've played ps1games on the aria and though laggy, will work.
I think the developer is still working on support.

Okay I installed flash to get hockey to stream onto my MT3G 1.2, it worked for one full game. Then I went to try another game the next day, I can't get flash to work, I uninstalled and reinstalled it, got nothing. I even tried different browsers, the one that worked the first time was skyfire. I tried dolphin, default, and opera. I can't get it to work for the life of me, please help, I love my hockey =)

what rom are you using and how did you get flash in the first place

I tried uninstalling, then reboot, reinstall, then reboot, still nothing. As for the rom its the stock update from google to 2.2.1 froyo. I can't even find the app in the market, so I went ahead and found flash.apk from searching google. I have rooted my system, but I am afraid to flash a different from to my MT3G. Although I would like to.

What he said. More specifically, our processor can't support Flash. You must've used something else to watch the game and been confused thinking it was Flash.
Hey so I've tried the chainfire3D nvidia plugin and got a couple games working but plant vs zombies... it loads up the hourglass then like reboots the screen(resprings... home screen crashes?) ... not the phone..
I've tried following other threads and runnign it at reduce texture at 16bits but doesn't work.
anybody have it working for mytouch 4g
mytouch 4g running virtuous unity.
I don't remember if I ever played it while on Unity, but I beat it at some point on this phone. I didn't have to do anything special to get it to run...

i've beat it twice on my Cyanogen(mod) powered Glacier, and on my MiUi powered NookColor.
I played it with no problems using Royal Glacier 1.3 and Virtuous Unity 1.26
you dont need chainfire3d for that game 2 run, i would uninstall that app or reset back to default(no plugins or shaders installed) then report back if that helped.

There is a 70 meg version and a 49 meg version floating around. I believe the 70 meg one is the one you want to install on your phone.

^^^ makes a very good point.
ChainFire was designed to be used with tHD games. PvZ isn't HD in the least. DO NOT RUN CHAINFIRE when trying to run this game.
I initially ran it without chainfire3d and it crashed, so i thought i might needed it, but installing chainfire3d leads to the same result.
Did you guys played the official 1.0 version or the ported version. just curious
I'm running the official version from the Amazon App Store and it ran perfect on every ROM I have tried from eVil D's DHD port to CM7 to Virtuous Unity, with no overclock on any of them... usually run with clock set to 245/1017

+1...I downloaded it when it was free in the appstore and have had no issues with it on any ROM.
Also got it from the Amazon Appstore and it works perfectly.
K thanks guys, it's probably because of some of the mods i've done to the rom and such stuff that prevents me from playing it. Might be a memory issue for my phone probably explain why my phone crashes and needs to respring..(lacking android terminology lol).
I'll check again after when i reflash it switch roms.
Do you get those annoying purple geometry shapes and glitches when you try to play flash videos on the Atrix with CM7 on certain (most) flash videos out there with the browser? Pretty much the only thing missing from Atrix CM7 was good flash player support.
I found a fix!
What you need:
-Flash Adobe Player 10.2
(http://androidadvices.com/download-the-latest-adobe-flash-player-10-2-for-android/)
Got mines here, but you can use another source if you don't trust it. Worked for me though.
-ROM Manager
1. Uninstall any Adobe Flash Player you have on currently on your Phone.
2. Install 10.2
3. Launch ROM Manager and fix permissions
4. Restart Phone
5. Enjoy high resolution and low resolutions without any glitches!
Hm, will try when I'm back to CM. I used to do the ol' flash 10.1 & then upgrade in the market, that used to work - most of the time..

This worked for me. Keep in mind you are exposing yourself to security vulnerabilities with outdated flash
That's why I wont be doing this even if its a valid fix.....hopefully a new cm7 beta comes out yhat fixes that issue as flash player isn't so important to me at the moment but it'd b nice to have it working......wish there's was some flashable zip fix or something........
I just turn off fullscreen, then turn it back on and that seems to fix it for me.

Oddly enough, installing chainfire3d improved the performance of games and browsing. I get less fc's and less random reboots. I'd reccomend trying it out

whoops, just found this thread, i used the chainfire3d method...worked perfect and i installed through the app itself, not through cwm...which i normally would and recommend.
Anyways, all is working now...cheers to everyone for the discovery!

I can get it to play but after a few minutes it just freezes causing a reboot.
On miui clocked 1400 performance. Nothing else running.

I'm on TDJs latest stable. It works good just freezes horrible. After a few minutes of game play.
Even with resolution all the way down. And making it as ugly as I can. Lol

I'm assuming you guys got this from the market? I've tried even with cm7 and it still doesn't show up. Confused as to why it shows up for others but not for me. Weird
