I just found out today that Costco just dropped their price on the A500 from $479.99 to $429.99 ($50). Good times!

If true, you can get a refund up to 90 days. I am calling tomorrow to check it out. I bought mine 3 days ago.

Target offers them now at $399.00 And with a 15% discount, cost is $340... I already own a VS Gtab, Asus TF, and the Xoom but at that price, I can't resist... Do I have an addiction to tablets?

I do not thing so

Is this a permanent price drop or is it only temporary? I'm looking at getting one but don't know when I'll be able to because I'm still saving up but other hobbies are taking up my money.

I too got my $50 but I had additional hoops to jump through. Since I was outside the traditional 30 day return window, (where costco can send back to the manufacturer) I had to go and BUY a whole new unit at the 429 price, take it over to refunds and return it on my original receipt. A little bit of trouble (had to have $429 available to buy the unit), but hey, it reset my 90 day return window and it reset my 3 year warranty (2 year costco, 1 year AMEX)

May I ask how to get the 15% off? Haven't found any coupon on it ...

Walked in, showed receipt, origional purchase date 50 days ago, no problem, credited my account.
Even gave me back my $50 membership since they aren't building one near where I live for 2 more years!

I think the price is going down to complete directly with the Transformer. Also, the newer models are out with more memory and the Windows platform.
The reason other places are still at the higher prices my assumption is that these units are already in channel at a price point from Acer (to ensure they had enough stock to sell). They do not want to sell these on thinner margins. Although...do they accept price matches with Walmart or Target?

Costco has a 32GB version, what about Walmart? From walmart online, the price for 16GB is still $449, the 32GB is $498, so the b&m price is 398 now for 16GB, right?

Since I was 2 weeks outside the traditional 30 days return policy. I got $50.00 cash card instead......

the october date is suspect to me, that to me says Acer is bringing out another unit in Oct.

I have next weeks sales flyer. Starting tomorrow (Sunday 7-17-11) Target is selling the A500 16gb for $399 + a $50 gift card *while supplies last.
If my math is correct that is like getting the A500 for $349 .
Best Buy and Staples both advertise the "new low price" as $399.99 starting tomorrow.
I think we are going to be seeing many more Acer A500 owners

[Q] Where to 'sell' kindle fire to upgrade to nexus 7?

Well... I already have a xoom on a custom ROM, the SGSIII and my girl has the fire. she really likes her fire honestly. but I'm almost positive she'll be happier with the nexus 7.
that being said, I was thinking of pre-ordering her a nexus 7 as a gift, then sell the kindle fire.
I know there are some websites that you can do an instant sale. Do you guys know the best site to utilize this? where I would get the most money?
maybe I'll try ebay and craigslist first, see if I can get little more, then do an instant sale thing...
and speaking of that, who else is going to nexus 7 from their fire?

yes, but problem is they want 250 for the nexus 7, and you will probably get it later compared to from google itself. 250 for it when google sells it for 199? that's a HUGE difference!

Apples and oranges. Gamestop is charging $250 for the 16GB model, which Google is charging $249 + shipping for.
Only the 8GB unit is $199, and Gamestop does not sell that. Actually - only Google Play sells the 8GB version.

To answer your question, sell it on Craigslist if you've got the patience. No fees, no bidding, deal in cash, and once the deal's closed it's done for good.

Should I Buy?? Need Advice

I'm somewhat new to the "tablet" world. I bought a Xoom when it came out, needed the money so I sold it off. I'm an android fan (of course) and have the GSIII. Anyhoo, I have a chance to purchase a TF300T 32GB model today for $180. Is that a good deal? Is it worth me doing it?
I would appreciate any review/advice.

Go get it! And consider buying a key docking as well
Using this device for few weeks now and I really appreciate having it. Replaced my netbook and offers me so much more features to it. And as far as I know it's the only tablet that offers a key docking as well - which is really useful

Thanks for the input! Looking at keydocks now. Know of any good case/portfolio for it? I'm about to start browsing.

This one is a really good case for the TF300T, It can either be used with just the tablet or the tablet and dock. Nice and interchangeable

For that price, you need to get it ASAP! I paid $299 for my 32gb tf300t and $49.99 for a blue dock. I thought that was a very good price. $180 is a steal for a 32gb.

I bought it from Office Depot the day after Black Friday. I originally bought the 16gb from Best Buy for $279 but after reading here, I found that Office Depot had the 32gb for only $20 more so I took it back and went to Office Depot.

It's worth looking into if you don't mind waiting to get it.

I was using a Tab S1 that I recently sold on ebay. I am now using a 8" Galaxy Tab A till I get my S3. I wish the Tab S3 came with an 8" size.
I ordered mine on 7/6/17 with the same more shipping 7-14 days message. When did you order yours? I think you and I got the same deal since yours cost $2 more. That deal was gone and came back as 497.99.

Ordered same, 7/6. Have heard nothing yet. Was using a Remix OS Tablet, just a little too large for my liking and travel. Sold mine on ebay as well.

I did the same and since they reduced the tab price 129 and charged full price on keyboard, I simply returned the keyboard and got the tab for 370.

I tried, but they wouldn't match it for me because B&H did not have it in stock. Apparently, they would only match items that are in atock at the time of the price match. Fortunately, it still works in my favor 'cause I gotnit with no tax or shipping fee.
