Hello
I use HyperDroid and it is my first Android ROM. Now i realized it doesn't have FM Radio.
Is there any application for this or I need to use another ROM?
If 1 option is no possible, could you suggest me good ROM with FM Radio.
PS. I can't use a internet, stream radio. Too small mb package.
Thanx in advance.
Anyone, plz?
Hey, i'm looking for this FM Radio APK too, i need it, broadband in my country is very slow to use streaming radio.
I have looked everywhere and no FM apk seems to be working.
Thanks!
Using root explorer push the app to system/app folder. Hope it works for you
Remember don't click to install it. Simply put it in system/app folder and u can see the radio icon in app drawer.

How do you get this installed on OpenDesire?
Says it's trying to replace a system app
It should be installed on Sense based Roms

thats because your are already using a rom with it build in. you have this app already, its born into a froyo rom from the nexuz one, and open desire is based on that
Great!! Thank you so much for this.. That's lot better than the stock one, besides camera link is working too (unlike the prev version i was using with 2.1 eclair)
Hi There !
Great application ^^. Thanks.
Just want to understand why it need to "access the full internet" and know where I am using GPS...
Do you know if it's possible to define it as "default gallery" ? i.e. : I would like to launch it automaticaly when I click on the bottom right button in the camera mode.
Thanks !
I've been reading about new builds that have fixed the 3mp camera issue to 5mp. i'm on a desire build that has pretty much no problems and really do not want to flash a new rom. is there a camera.apk file or something that i can modify in the android directory to fix the camera issue? if so, can anyone lead me to them? I've done a lot of searching and can't find much. phone is 99% perfect except for this one thing that bugs me lol. thanks in advance.
or is it possible to download a newer android rom, copy the camera files and just replace them on my existing build? if so, which files would they be?
Download "Camera 360" from the market. Seems to have set everything straight for me.

You can also use Vignette.
i've tried both apps and they still won't go higher than 3mp. i guess the only way must be to install a new rom hu?

And maybe new 5mp HTC camera in next few days
What if you don't have an android apps? where would it go?
Also isn't the HTC HD2 hardware capable of 7mp?

i just noticed my darkstone froyo 3.1 is 3MEGAPIXEL

I'm assuming you can just move the file to anywhere on the sd card and then just look it up and install using a file explorer. (I use ES file explorer)
Thanks guys. Now I just need to know how to install the kernel and stuff, lol...
Here's a very easy way to gain root access to your Nand HD builds. Some have mentioned something called z4root from the market but every time i put that in search it couldn't find it. What i DID find was an app called Super Manager that works like a charm and has many functions such as task manager, apk manager, file explorer, and app back up. What you want to do first is go to settings(where you can access just about anything..shake capture, full screen mode, font size..etc.)then go to 'enable root function'. After that, you'll be able to go into root explorer..and enjoy.
If you can't find them on the market, you can always find them HERE
hey thanks lude. that page must have eluded me cause i had no idea it existed..probably because i never really checked the android only pages. i usually hovered around the hd2 android pages.anyways,thanks.i have one question for you..i hear allot about busybox but i'm not exactly sure what it is..or the magic behind it. could you explain?

Basically it gives you additional unix/linux commands so you can deploy different tasks at the root level. Similarly, it's like having a registry editor in windows for you to slice and dice around.
i cant remove apps from system
but titanium backup have root right
is this will help ?

I'm gonna give it a shot and report my findings then. Thanks.
Edit: I've gotta say this is definitely worth a go. Don't know if everything works as described, (such as app backup) but I'm definitely looking at my system files. I tried copying the miui music app into /system/app directory but it said not enough free space. Strange, but I will play with it some more tomorrow. Thanks for the find!

SYS App Unistaller will take care of the System Apps you want gone.??
EDIT::: Anything in Squash may have a issue. Not running a "Squashed" ROM so I can't test.
Doesn't hurt to try...

Upgrade to liberty. It has a toolbox where you can install fm radio from. Plus you don't need to wipe if coming from gummy 2.5.

Hey ladies and gents,
Anyone know if I can change the camera app in the build im using in my sig below? This is the best ROM I've tested over the past year or so and dozens of ROMs. This camera is the worst though. I cant tap to autofocus and it takes like 5 seconds to take a pic.
Thanks in advance.
I am using the same ROM you have. Found the apk file in the ROM thread where several people had good experience using the Miui CM7 camera. I am currently using it without any issues. Here is the link to the post from another user of Pongster's ROM with the apk link:

You need to use a File Explorer app to navigate to the camera.apk that you load and install it from there rather than use it to overwrite the old camera.apk that was there. I think that is what you did? You can have both .apks there at the same time. Shouldn't conflict.

It just says application not installed. I tried Root Explorer and another one built into the ROM.
I also tried wiping Dalvik after moving the APK unsuccessfully.
Why aren't I able to run it as you say?

Not sure why it is difficult to install. You can try off the Market, Camera360, another app that worked well for me. I just tested it again on my phone and it works. I used to use it when I was on Froyo and on Pongster's build until the suggestion from the poster on the link I sent you. I was trying to find the CWR zip file for the same Miui Camera but I can't seem to find it on the Pongster thread. If I find it, I will send you the link. In the meantime, try Camera360. It may be all you need.
Thought the information was in the Pongster thread but actually on its own thread. Here is the link to the link adding the Miui camera onto a CM7 build for HD2:

Hope this helps and works this time.

What would be the order of the operations?
1. move APK, overwriting old APK
2. Power off and boot into CWM
3. Wipe Dalvik
4. Reboot?
If his is correct, I am almost posive this is one of the things I tried.... I tried a lot.

Our HTC HD2's unfortunately do not have the hardware capabilities to record in 720p but can play back a 720p recording.
