hey guys i recently flashed my phone to froyo 2.2 and lost data connection, however my problem was not that i didnt have the reqquired band but my apn settings were reset. so if u flashed ur phone and lost data check ur apn settings first ... it should look like this
APN: pda.bell.ca
Proxy server: web.wireless.bell.ca
Port: 80
after i entered the info my data started working again
hope this helps...
did flash to official jpm via hacked kies? how's everything so far?
That may work but it's not the default settings. APN should be inet.bell.ca, not sure about the rest.
get ready for it to get bricked in the next couple of days
ya i flashed via kies, everything works well, feels alot snappier without lagfix..also the samsung task manager seems to work better as it kills programs that arnt running alot faster.

i'm going to have to agree with this guy......a few days, and a few reboots, and you'll be bricked.
The apn settings should be like this:
name: Bell
APN: inet.bell.ca
rest , leave them empty and save and use. tried and tested.
Ya. I am alo on be and confirm its inet.bell
I retured a phone i updated to 2.2 cuz was verry unstable and keeps fc on multitasking.
Also when i flashed back to the stoxk bell jh2 i could not get the bell branding csc file to restore all the programs correctly. So i just gave up and doa the phone with new one
Good luck. And btw now that you have updated you will not get the update id any that bell givea the rest of us.

Why would it be bricked? I just updated mine yesterday to froyo on bell.
i too am on bell, and have tried updating to jpk and jpm. it never turns out well, and if you start getting FC's and "can't mount" errors in recovery, i suggest you flash back to jh2 before your sdcard gets corrupted to the point where you can't flash it.
i'm just saying a lot of people were having this issue with the bell i9000m when flashing to froyo.

Spot on.. (based on observation and some other threads) most Bell i9000M get corrupted a few days after flashing i9000 roms. Once it gets corrupted you will have to send the phone for repairs.
Just wait for Bell's official 2.2...it wont be long
Out of the 3 SGS's I have , only one had a problem with the SD Card. All 3 were on JPK and are now on JPM. The only one that had this problem had a lagfix installed. The other 2 don't and are still alive since JPK was put on them on the day of it's release. JPM was put on all 3 of them last night. I only have the 850Mhz problem with the 3 of them. The SDCard problem is not related to Froyo as others have had it happen with 2.1 . The phone I had fixed got a brand new system board installed in it but the rest of the phone was my old one since I had marked both with a marker.
I noticed people were commenting on which APN is correct (inet.bell.ca or pda.bell.ca).
As shipped, the phones came set with inet.bell.ca as the APN. This is actually their APN for tethered connections. While it works fine for data, people on older plans without a tethering option were getting charged fees for tethering because of this.
pda.bell.ca is what all other phones use for on-device data, which is why most people suggest using that one. Both will work on the SGS.
ya i just noticed my phone getting alot of force closes, then when i rebooted it got stuck on the galaxy s screen. went into download mode and flashed back to jh2 with odin, phone works fine now...and as for not being able to update through kies, im not too worried about that as odin makes it easy to flash new firmwares...and i have a feeling bell is gonna slack on rolling out 2.2 anyways. and most of us that root out phones do not have much interest goin with stock roms anyways

Doesnt have to be 2.2... Happens as long as it's the i9000 rom
Weird, I have a bell i9000M (got it in august). Ive flashed to froyo using the kies registry hack and its been running flawlessly, havent experienced any force closes or lag

Did you even read this thread? OP already said his phone was starting to act up already and flashed it back.
And if you read my previous posts, i didnt limit the failure to 2.2 alone.
I have a Samsung Fascinate from Verizon Wireless.
Up until two days ago, it used to work perfectly on Android Froyo Superclean 2.8.
I had that ROM for about a year and a half and never thought of updating my OS up until two days ago.
At first, I discovered that I could get Gingerbread for my phone (not a stock version though).
I looked on the internet and I ended up flashing C-Spire Wireless Gingerbread 2.3.6 by accident.
When I finally finished all of the updating on that, I tried to go on the internet but it was not functioning the way it used to.
Most of the time, my phone could not connect to the 3G network, and when it did, it was very slow and disconnected every minute or so.
So, I then flashed the stock version of Gingerbread 2.3.5 for Verizon, but when I finished doing that, I still found that my internet was extremely buggy.
I also tried to install some radios on my phone to see if that helped, but it did not.
Shortly after, I stalled Superclean3 milestone 2 but the internet issue was not solved.
After that, I installed TSM Resurrection 2.2. The internet problems were still there.
Then, I went and installed ICS. Internet was still buggy.
I then got Jelly Bean from Cyanomod. The internet was still the same.
Then I went back to the stock Gingerbread 2.3.5. My internet is still really annoyingly horrible and I don't know what to do.
Any solutions please?

To go back to stock you need to flash the the pit file to repatriation and put everything back in order. Found the forum in fascinate android development about going back to stock Verizon rom. I had a 3g issue when I first flashed AOKP b40. Going back to stock worked perfect to fix data. Then back to ics on AOKP. And if your gonna flash an ics rom make sure you flash THS build 2 first to lay the ground work for the next ics rom of your choice.

Maybe your radio got corrupted somehow? Try flashing a bunch of different ones to see if it helps... all that info is found in droidstyle's guide
edit: Oops sorry, somehow I skimmed over that part saying you already tried different radios. I agree with the above though, go back to stock via droidstyle's guide and see what happens...
I just stumbled across something that may help you... read this and try it out... some people have reported data issues being resolved after doing that update. I've never done it myself, but I think I'm going to start making it a habit
Ever since I bought the phone the wifi has not worked. I have tried different ROMs to see if it would fix it but it just wont connect. I turnit on but it just turns back off. Ihave searched everywhere and cant find anything on this issue.
Does anyone have a clue?
Are you rooted or HTC unlocked??? When u bought the phone was it stock non rooted and it never worked?

Then its hardware related if when you slide the on position it reverts back to off... that usually happens on a rom when u have an incomplete kernel without the correct modules but since this happened while you where UN rooted then its hardware...
The only thing I can think off to be sure is using a PD file and going back to stock if you have the same problem then its your phone.
My WiFi recently stopped working I've tried pd15img.zip, rooted stock zip, basically everything i can think of but WiFi doesn't work just errors out on me.

Good evening, I'm having issues with my nexus .
Days ago a friend of mine told me about the Xenon HD rom, and I decided to try it (Im a CM user).
Today, I made a backup with TWRP and flashed the rom, I tested it for a few hours and I did not liked it, so I decided to go back to the previous rom, so I restored the backup. I realized that all my applications were not installed, so then I decided to do a Factory Reset and restore the backup again, my apps were still missing.
So I decided and start from scratch, doing another factory reset and installing CM on it, I factory reset it and I realize that my phone did not have any signal!
Wifi and everything is working but iit is not receiving any signal!
Can anyone help? I even tested it with a simcard from another company and nothing!
Are there any settings that may have been moved? Some option? please help me!

If you are coming from a Android 4.3 stock rom to 4.2.2 then you need to flash this selecting the first option and flash it before flashing a Android 4.2.2 rom: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2147194

If you already flashed the factory image
Just let it be, insert your sim card and let the phone on for awhile
That happened to me with PA in 4.2.2 you got to wait a bit

At this point, my phone is fully stock and ready to go to the US for a claim process...
I just want to make sure everything is as stock as it should be, please take a look at the following and let me know:
Bootloader

Good day, I just wanted to let you guys know that the weirdest thing just happened to me.
I just came from my office and thought about going and turning on my phone, I did, and enabled airplane mode, (also turned on and off nfc) when I disabled it, my phone detected the network signal! I even received a sms, I also made a call! and thought, wow! it fixed itself up! I was literally dancing in my room and changing my simcard... (because I did all the above with a replacement chip that I have) and when I finally put my chip back, I made a call and it lost the signal again... It is now again without signal... I’m beginning to think this is a hardware problem...
Any update on this?
I've had the same problem for a few weeks now, the 3G/H signal just drops out, rebooting, airplane mode switching, returning to stock, different apn's, changing radios, replacing sims have all had no effect.
It's getting embarrassing now, seems to be such a common problem and yet no acknowledgement from Google about the issue which I believe to be deep in the settings/software and relating to the hardware in the original batch of Nexus phones.
I could arrange a return and get a replacement but I've read that even replacements have the same issue.
Apart from throwing the thing against the wall is there any other fixes out there?
If it helps I'm on 02 UK pay monthly, surrounded by cell towers, the phone is rooted and running stock 4.3
Just checking it now and I have H and 4 full blue bars - Ok update twitter.. nope, ok go to the play store..nope...

started working for 5 hours then returned same issue...
I used Odin to root it using Nc1 Then finished with J4 ...
im guessing this must be a problem many are facing. a friend of mine gave me a an S4 logic board i337m variant and it has the same issue i have tried everything from flashing new roms flashing stock frimwares tried different kernels modems nothing seems to work. i second this post to see if we can find a solution. my phone is a I337m and have flashed GOLDENEYE to get the lollipop experience a month before the official Lollipop came out for the canadien variants and i have not had any problems i was wondering if i made a backup with trwp and see if this might fix this problems and if it does i can upload my exact backup to help other. but i was wondering if a dev can help me out and see if this could be a possible solution.
In the same boat aswell
I gave my phone to someone to update it to lollipop GPE about 2 months ago.... wifi would work but my data connection would cut out the minute the screen shut off.... after contemplating going back to the guy.... i downgraded to hyperdrive kitkat rom witch gave me better connectivity but no wifi... I ve been living with that for up until now until I decided enough is enough and flashed the stock lollipop rom yesterday. still no wifi. whats even more frustrating is I cant find the file path thats being mentioned so commonly as the solution.... and yes I am rooted. Also wifi was working no problem before I updated..

Well last night I went from 4.4.4 back to 4.4.2 to see if thus would solve the wifi and blue tooth head ache. It all started working just fine and did all the way up till tonight then back to not working. I then resulted to cleaning the Wifi prongs on the phone and it worked again for few hours. Now the weird thing happens I put it back into the phone case and just from snapping it in it stop working AGAIN. I restarted the phone once taken out of the case and it was working so I think I'm at a conclusion it's a mechanical issue not software. Maybe the wifi circuit us faulty
I've had lots if Galaxy and worked on a few friends but this wifi and blue tooth crap us unbearable.
My Bluetooth is fine. My wifi broke after downgrading to kit kat so I know it works It just seems the wifi files are corrupted or missing. I'm sure it's simple I'm just not savvy enough to implement it
