Try Link2sd works great on my phone with 2.1.

data2sd?
i would prefer app2sd, a bit tricky to install, but works great with dalvik-cache in sd.. but dont have user interface (correct me if im wrong)
Link2sd havent tried yet, but it guess works well with 2.1 with user interface and need to move the application manually.
others i dont know how it works

Apps Installed to SDcard?

Can we do this yet, or is it limited to Android 2.2 when we get it... I ask because the Aria does have rather limited internal memory, outside the use for a SDcard.

No we can't because we don't have a kernel to support it yet. As soon as we do, I'll add it to the liberated rom. That is, if we don't find our way to FroYo rom in the meantime.
well lets hope that Att and HTC get 2.2 out fast. Or if you or someone else can port the cyanogen mod from the MT3GS to the Aria
apps installer
there's an app called 'apps installer'..but i've had issue with it crashing..not sure why..

Has anyone tried adding the old method of Apps2SD to the rom? You don't need a kernel for that.
Here's a guide I built to add the old Apps2SD to a rom...doesn't matter which Apps2SD.

I haven't tried that method yet, and not sure if anyone else has, but I will give it a try sometime today. Thanks for that.

I would like to get FroYo soon. Idc if it has sense or not.
yeah i would rather install it to SD too
Being that Android is based on linux, I don't wee why programs can't be moved to the sd card and have a symbolic link where the app normally would install. It would work in desktop linux, so why not Android?
Well you can but Google only added that feature in 2.2, I'm not sure about the idea behind it.

Google added that feature in 2.2, but there has been workarounds using the Linux method (symlinks) since Android 1.0 via CyanogenMod.
I know my Darktremor Apps2SD uses this method of redirecting Android via symlinks to an EXT partition on the SD card. Even the dalvik cache can be redirected if desired.
I know that CyanogenMod has an Apps2SD or a way to launch it via /system/bin/sysinit (at least it does in the CDMA Hero). If anyone is interested in trying it, here's the link to 2.7.5 final:
http://www.darktremor.info/files/a2sd/dtapps2sd-2.7.5-final-adv-signed.zip
If anyone tries it, let me know the results. Thanks.

I recommend waiting for android 2.2 to be finished because that doesn't require partitioning to install apps to sd.

[Q] Help fellow android- APP2SD

Hey, is there any app i can use to directly transfer my apps to sd card without upgrading to froyo. I have an xperia X8 eclair, and the only reason i rooted was to move apps to sd.
The reason i dont wanna upgrade to froyo is because i like the eclair interface more and if i flash to froyo i loose all my current settings right.
Please suggest a way.
Thanks

Error

I have just started my brand new x8, so nothing is changed with it, I try and download an app from the internet and when I go to install it I get 'There is a problem parsing the package', I have tried many different app installers, but still no luck.
Thanks very much for all replies
some apps need to run on a newer version of amdroid, for example app2sd (wich transfers your installed apps to your micro sd card) requires android 2.2 or higher to run, but the stock Sony Ericsson firmware is android 2.1 so until you install a new ROM e.g. Froyobread (Android 2.2) or GingerDX (Android 2.3) you wont be able to run certain apps
