Because it's a port from an SDK and it won't ever run right. Not worth really messing with until source is out.

Initially, they did the port and it was crazy slow and plenty of things didn't work. They did get it to run faster and make most things work, but it was no where near as fast as it is now. That's because they built it from source, optimized for devices.

Im aware just sayin ya never know what will happen

I've been running fugu tweaks for some time now. If you read the thread you will see where I confirm it works for the epic. I used it for some time before posting that.

That's a gimmick at best and varies from SD card to SD card. I will not be setting one standard.

Sdcard tweak = no harm no foul... Ill be adding it, it seems to help with loading everything from sd, but it does bog down sometimes still,so...

It varies greatly, the stock sd seems to work best sometimes at 2048 sometimes at 3072... but either is better than the stock setting of 128 in my opinion...
I'm setting ec05plus at 3072 as a good median for stock sd cards and those who have upgraded

Could anyone consider sharing some feedback on Darkyy's RAM booster mod?
Also if it work's, is this one of the "few tweaks" that's being implemented into the soon SRF 1.2.0?
That tweak is the same as using autokiller memory optimizer correct?

I use it in my unreleased custom rom, it does work, as far as quantifying the actual value... it varies dependent on a lot of things I haven't figured out yet.. but overall there is a general increase in free ram.. and also a snappier feel.. I've also implemented it in ec05plus 1.2 which should be released for testing to a few people in the next 3 to 4 days

Yes, a version of the RAM hack is in 1.1.1/1.2.0.

Then I'll assume same goes for Fugu's tweak? (I couldn't get to work.)
Since No2chems are probably default-ly obvious from how I see it.

My system crashes as soon as I try to replace the sytem server using rootexplorer. Can I replace the old app_processin the upgrade zip with the newer gb one, to make a single flashable zip?

Seriously, you have to ask which rom he's using ?

One click Lag fix. I'm not kidding. You don't have to use the lagfix, just the aggressive stuff. Not sure if it works on simpley honey. Just try it

most of the custom roms have the tweak that darky made that sets the ram management to more agressive.

Thats android 2.1 and 2.2 only..

I used to use Auto Killer Memory Optimizer when on 2.2 roms, but I'm not sure if it works for 2.2.1+. It definitely helped for 2.2, but I still have a dearth of RAM in CM7.

whats the best ginger rom in all aspects?

guys im running simply honey 3.5 but battery life is terrible.compared to asgard.. i just wanna know whats a good alternative rom thats ginger with good battlife and greate performamce.

i would say cm7 but it has no gps but its still the best in my opinion! Plus its really easy to install thanks to rom manager premium

we don't have any ginger-made roms. Please visit the National Ginger Association for more information on Ginger made Roms.

CM7 is the best Gingerbread rom for Vibrant hands down.

Lol i just downgraded to biwinning v2.
It speed is so amazing compared to simply honey.. Ithink im gonna stay with froyo until our vibrant leak is leaked.

CM7 over anything. Period.

Yup. CM7 for Vibrant its still on beta stage. There isn't an official release yet.
CM7 its very stable. I'm using M.I.U.I. right now. I.like its style and the theme database its epic. It have some lag here and there, but hey, nothing is free, that's the price for having a pretty looking UI.

Go to the Market and get Logging TestApp & Pro Key - ROOT by TrevE. Removes all instances of Carrier IQ.
