Has anybody had any issues with downloading apps from the market after updating to the newest leak? The market will download the app and upon completion give the error Download Unsuccessful, please try again later. Ive tried wiping data and Cache, reloading the rom, Odin'ing back to DL09 (which worked) but after following all the steps to get back to EB01 or even DL30 I cannot install any app from the market. I've looked through the forums and found a few things like clearing the download manager's cache and the same for the market but that didn't help. I also force updated the market to the newest version and that didn't help either. I've also tried intalling apps that are backed up on my SD card and they will not install. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Also, my phone isn't currently activated, I will be re-activating it soon, but I'm not sure if that could have anything to do with the problem.
Did you odin the ed01 radio?

I've not had any problems. Hopefully someone else can help you.
But remember, this is the developer's forum. Troubleshooting goes in the General forum, or in the thread of the ROM you are using.
Odin'ed the EB01 radio. Followed the instructions 100%. Everything else seems to work great. I'm at a loss. & my apologies for posting in the wrong place, can this thread be moved?
Try flashing the new 2.3.2 market, it can be found in the development section
Sent from my SCH-I500 using XDA App
Just use the cwm zip there

I have already flashed the 2.3.2 market. It didnt help
I think I've got it. I found another post where a guy had a similar issue. He also had a Fascinate that was not activated. I turned off the "Mobile Data" in the notification bar and apps began installing properly. It does seem to be a Froyo related issue (or security measure) of some kind. Seems to be resolved. Thanks for the help guys!!
Very odd, you could try going to setting, applications, manage applications, select market in the "all" applications section and clear data, on the market only.
Sent from my SCH-I500 using XDA App
Its just odd, mine works fine
Sent from my SCH-I500 using XDA App
Dude you needs to redo it.
Boot into cwm, wipe cache a couple time, wipe data / factory reset a couple of times, and the reinstall your ROM. Hope it helps.

i had that prlblem on my gfs phone. i think using voodoo this go round on froyo mayb solved it for me though.

+1 on needing a fix.
My market has the exact same problem.
Just started yesterday when i went to jts clean rom.

Have either of you done a titanium backup?
Sent from my SCH-I500 using Tapatalk
I had that problem yesterday I had to un-root the phone I can't post the URL but you can find the thread in the 2nd page of fascinate and devlopement forum
it was the only solution I found and it helped
Im Having the same problem. Happened after flashing JT's clean ROM.
It's from restoring apps with Titanium Backup. For whatever reason, whenever I do this, it breaks my market no matter what ROM and whether I have Voodoo or not. Restore to stock, re-root, and everything, and you need to restore every app manually.
I did not use Titanium Backup.
I posted a new thread about this, seemed to work for me and a few others I tried. Check "for anyone having market issues"
Been having the same problem. I used titanium to freeze then defrost Market. Then did the same thing to Market Updater. Market works perfect now, but it reverted from the Froyo version back to Eclair. But it's better than not working at all.
Promise this will work. Just go to titanium and click on Market and then click Wipe Data. Do the same with Market Updater. All will be fixed.

Got anymore? Did this, and the thread mentioned above and no change.
I will have to try reverting to eclair if i can't get this working. Argh

This is an old issue, with several things to try.
I would first suggest looking through your application list and uninstalling any 0.00 sized files left as ghosts of apps manually removed. There will possibly be other smallish sized files left behind as well if you can identify them.
Force stop and clear market cache
Boot into recovery, clear cache and reboot.

I tried everything you just said above exactly. It still has the same result: "Starting Download" indefinitely.
I also tried using Titanium Backup to wipe data for market and market updater, but that didn't work either. I'm pretty frustrated that I can't figure this out
Got a solution. I was having the same problem with my Evo. Go to applications, then go to installed on sd. Move everything over to the phone. Then go to all applications and clear cache/data/and force stop it. That did the trick. You can move everything back to sd card after it fixes the market issue and it shouldn't happen again.

Uninstalling the froyo market and reverting back to the 2.1 market resolved this issue for me on 2 phones ... Mine and the wifee.
I had this issue, and I found out something peculiar. I was running JT's Super Clean rom with Market 2.2 and a Voodoo kernel, and the Factory Reset ran, but did not actually reset anything. After turning Voodoo off, I was able to Factory Reset, which fixed the Market issues.
Same thing here...
I was having this issue as well. Had to install JT Clean rom w/ wiping cache and data. Tried every suggestion in the book but none fixed it but wiping cache and data and installing JT Clean Rom.

OK. So thisnis my first post here. but I've been readingb up here for almost. 2 months now. Everyone here is very nice and very helpful. So I upgraded to dj05 the other day. Everything was fine burning could jot get my market to open
I cleared the cache, market cache, market download, davilk cache, factory reset everything. So I decided to revert back to di01 and just wait out the official update. I reverted back via Odin and flashed in a clean version of di01. Now I am getting a network error when I try to open the market. Failure to connect with network. Any ideas guys?? Thanks for the help.

If that doesn't work, try this:

Ok so I reflashed the di01 and then used a backup female when o first got the phone rooted. And it fixed my problem. Thanks a lot for the help guys.

can i please go into detail on how you fixed this? i have the exact same problem and i cant figure it out. I reflashed di01 and did all kinds of data wipes and it still wont work.
EDIT: nevermind i fixed it
So need a bit of help from you folks.
As soon as I saw the new blackhole (DJ05 version) on ROM manager I downloaded, chose to wipe, and installed and it had worked brilliantly until I noticed my SMS totally broken and it appeared no wipe had actually taken place. No sweat, saw the post on here when I got home from work and flashed the modem portion and SMS was restored along with GPS working as I had always dreamed it could be.
All had been working well until I noticed today that my market was no longer downloading (the same day that I get the new market pushed to my phone no less!). So I re-read the thread in regards to the DJ05 becoming public and it recommended a wipe. I decided now was the time. However I have been 100% unsuccessful in wiping my phone beyond user data. I have attempted through the phone itself under privacy, through ROM Manager (both factory and cache in either order), via adb rm -r /data command and format data/system/cache, restoring to my backup before the DJ05 blackhole and THEN attempting to wipe (which I had done successfully previously) and any combination of these in every order along with following. I previously had voodoo 4 installed but removed it through the guide the complete way via odin months ago. I also found a guide on xda in one of the other galaxy s variant forums in regards to clearing data and cache in regards to android apps like market, download manager, etc.
My question is after making a short story very long, aside from odin-ing back to original firmware and then redoing the entire thing...what the heck can I do?!
I actually had that problem too with the setup in my sig. Removed voodoo. Restored a backup and did voodoo again and I got the market to work. Clearly that won't work for you but figured if let you know anyways..

Yeah but at least you will get your market back.

Had this problem before as well. U could try logging into google talk if u are not. Or log out then back in. This is what fixed it for me. Talk seems to have something to do with market
Sent from my SCH-I500 using XDA App

I have it installed and re installed to be sure but it appears on open and instantly closes but without a force close.
Sent from my SCH-I500 using XDA App
hmm. Well that may be the problem. U could get on irc and ask if sonofskywalker is on and have him help. Or flash jts .8 rom this is what I'm using works great. No market issues. He just put it up on the develop section

It is also up on rom manager

Sent from my SCH-I500 using XDA App
No luck with the .8. Guess I'll have to odin back to launch and redo everything. Fml. Haha.

I think we got something.
1.I reflashed to a nandroid.
2. I flashed radio pack from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1128135
3. Cleared cache and dalvik-cache twice.
4. I reflashed NV 1.77_003 Radio from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=715485
I think from the past threads i read NV and PRI radios had to match.
Tried the market for a paypal update, and the phone finally started to download and install.
I cant say that I fixed it, it just works now.
Do you think the market will ban your phone if you attempt to download an app too often, kind of like if you flood an FTP server, and it auto bans you for 24hrs?
(Seems the more likely case IMHO)
I'd like to thank all of those who helped me trouble shoot this!!!
Been trying to solve it for hours!
I NEED my Android stylin' for school!
I press install, then it downloads, but doesn't say the app is installed / the app isn't installed. Help meh.
How do I fix this, so I can install apps?
--
Edit:
I tried CM7 again but this time, a little combination of two instructions.
Before, I couldn't fix the market problem, like anything I tried (clear cache, data in the manage applications settings) didn't work. And the uninstall updates wasn't visible. So today I tried again but with some different instructions, and this time it worked! So glad I can use CM7 on my phone, so awesome.
Are you using a stock ROM or a custom ROM?
Sent from my MB525 using XDA App
I've been having this problem lately (on both Bandroid's ROM and rdannar's "diet" stock ROM) with the new marketplace.
Even on updates some apps will go through the whole process, and even act like they're downloading, then will still show up as needing an update.
This didn't help you, but you're not alone?
Rebooting (sometimes) helps.
Do you have the new market yet? I notices when my phone switched to the new one it took a few hours for it to get back to normal. Also, it mat not show its correct status in the market app and if you leave and go back it may say it is finnished.

I have this same problem. I can't successfully install any app via the android Market. I tried clearing Market cache and data with no improvement. If I choose install an app, it looks like it downloads in the status bar, but doesn't actually list it as "Successfully Installed" as it normally would.
If I look in the Market's My Downloads it lists the app but says "Free" next to it instead of "Installed" or "Update". If I then try to install it I get "Sorry! The application Market (process com.android.vending) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again." Force Close.
I also rolled back the updates on my Android Market with no improvement in functionality.
I think the issue started when I went to Android 2.2.
I'm not clear on how to solve this problem.
Same problem! !!!!!!! Any solution??
unmount SD Card
A temporary fix would be unmounting the sd card and then installing the app. It happens on some roms..hope it fixes...works in my case.
