I have a ZTE Blade for 3 months and everything works fine.
Yesterday, I had a call. The phone ringed for 2-3 times and then only vibration.
Sinse then, I have no sound at all!!!
Neither the music or the applications, nor the alarm.
Obviously, all the settings have high volume and it is not muted!
The phone is not rooted.
Anyone with similar problem? Any idea how to fix this?

Have Either Of You Tried Rooting And New ROM?
If you've installed any widgets with sound toggles try toggling them on and off several times.
This happened to me once, and the above worked (for me anyway).
hi , just got my first android ( zte blade)... only problem is that i cannot hear it ring and i am missing all my calls . i cannot adjust the volume even though it says its on max!
it appears a similar problem as yours "stefka1" ... can any of you give me any help/advice please

I have searched all over this forum for my problem but couldnt find any solution. I have a I mate JasJam running TNT ROM. My problem is it is not giving me any sound when a message comes in. When I check for the alert sound in Sounds&Notification it plays fine. Actually it was sounding fine till I installed HTC Home. Now I tried uninstalling HTC home plugin, but it still the same, no sound for incoming messages.
Is there anyone who knows a solution for this problem? Any help would be highly appreciated. Thanks in advance and am back to do more search..

I hope someone can help me. After using my HTC HD for ~5 weeks, the phone has all of a sudden lost the ability to play ringtones when people call. The phone is basically silent.
The volume is at max and the loudspeaker works fine (e.g. music/button tones).

Can your phone play any sounds, or is it just for ringtones?

I had the same problem some time back. Hard reset my phone thrice but the Problem was not solved. Music, keytones every thing was working fine. Only the ringtone was not working when i got a call. Just flashed another rom and the problem vanished. Hope this solves ur problem.

Yeh, its only the ringtone thats the problem. I have had the exact same problem several months ago and solved it after flashing too. I just wish I didnt have to do something that radical for something so 'simple'!

i have a Hermes, exactly the T-Mobile version..
anyway it worked fine till one day i got no sound at all, no mp3 no notifications, nothing....
except the boot up sound... checked the forums, seems it's a common problem, and i figured that the rear speaker works (since the boot up sound comes from it), the speaker cable is connected so i have no clue... if it would be broken, than the boot-up sound wouldn't come at all from the rear speaker, riight?
changed like 5-6 ROMs so far, from 6 to 6.5, no changes with sound...
any clue guys what to do?
I'd need to solve this asap...

Well, the first thing that i would consider doing is backup my important data and do a hard reset....why don't you try that too....?

got from ebay a new speaker... changed it and it doesnt work either...
hard reset and changing the ROM (6-7 of them) didn't help...
at beginning the sound could be heard at boot only while playing music, ringing and that stuff was mute... after 2 days the sound at boot disappeared too...
so, does anyone have a solution? when i plug the microUSB to 3.5mm adapter i can hear the sound on my earphones, but there is no sound when played normally on the ppc itself...
can anyone help me to solve this? where could be the problem?

okay...
going mad really... now i flashed an original AT&T US rom (although i have a tmobile EU) and guess what.... i hear the sound back again, but only at boot up... other sounds in winmo (ring, mp3, music, programs) are dead... can't hear anything although the volume is set at max...
so... i assume this can't be a hardware issue..
before this ATT i changed like 6 more different roms and all with same problems... now i have sound only at bootup... does anyone know where is the problem and a possible solution?

you'd better check the speakers on your device , may be the connecting cable is damaged and if necessary you replace ....

I got a strange problem..
If someone calls me , we both can hear..(2 way communication )
But when I call someone they are not able to hear me..my mic is not working..I can hear them..(one way communication ) ..that is not mic problem..something with software..
I found a stupid solution to this.. If I press mute 2 times ,I can speak and and they can hear me,,
Anyone got the same problem with 2.5 or 2.6 version? any solutions?
I am fed up of pressing MUTE always

Have you tried to disable "Audible touch tones"? Before making a call that is.

im not using clockrecovery...but i have re installed it many times..
I used MIUI ROM with clockworkmode...I am getting this mute issue after 4 days ..It was working fine inititally..

First of all Check ur profile settings
i.e, settings-profile settings
then select the required profile( Default/Normal Maybe)
consider their settings, quite possibly their ring features( notification type, ring type, ringtone,etc)
if still doesn't work look for the sound in the settings..
Check the Setting>sound.....check ur phone volume....otherwise factory reset ....will solve ur problem

Flash Stock ROM or any Custom ROM. Try to reset your device.
the first attemt to fix all the hell problems in yu yureka is MEDIA STORAGE it is the culprit first clear data >forestop>disable>cleardata>enable>reboot phone>go to media storage in app list in settings>wait>till the data is reached to 4mb (this is the directory list of ur stored ringtones>go to sound u may see that it shows unknown or none wait for a while it will re populate the list and select ur ringtone and ur done :good::good:
