hi,
i use Reflex rom from Civato (many thanks Civ:good.
Everything work fine in normal use (also the data/file in external microsd)
My first problem: when i install V8UNLOCKED multi ICS BOOTLOADER installed whit CWM
the process end fine but in recovery i see at the top: CWM Recovery v5.5.0.x(thor2002ro/digitex rev1.7.3)
And, after istallation when i back to Power menu i have:
E:Can't open /cache/recovery/log
E:Can't open /cache/recovery/log
E:Can't open /cache/recovery/last_log
E:Can't open /cache/recovery/last_log
The second problem, maybe connected whit the first:
Each time i try to install a rom update from external sd i have the following message :
E:Can´t mount /sdcard/
If I remove my SD, and insert it again, it mounts and i can update the rom.
I'v tried to wiping cache & dalvik partitions but both problems remain...
p.s.sorry for the mistakes in English and the noob questions..

? The MicroSD card that you can remove from the top should mount as /external_sd/
As for the messages about not able to open the log files could be...
1. The logs do not exist
2. The mount or location its referencing does not exist or is not mounted
3. They exist but you have no permissions to get to them
Sorry I cant be of much help in resolving... I am sure someone will pop on with a solution for you...

Right. The log files do non exist in sdcard. or in external_sd.
But. why I see. :CWM Recovery v5.5.0.x(thor2002ro/digitex rev1.7.3) at the top after I install the V8UNLOCKED ?
And what about the probmem whit read the external_sd in recovery mode:
E:Can´t mount /sdcard/
If I remove my microsd and insert it again, it mounts perfectly ?
Stuck in DFT MAGLDR and ClockworkMod Recovery, searched with no solution
I got the stock WM6.5 Tmous with radio 2.15.50.14 used HSPL4
I've done the MAGLDR stuff with no problem. (I was shocked after flashing MAGLDR as I can't boot into my WM6.5, then I realized MAGLDR is for Nand-droid only)
Then I went to the next step, individually install/flash the ClockworkMod and now here's the problem. I followed 100% of this step by step guide and thinking that it would be less risky as it's already "step by step"ed for people. I chose the method 1 for Installing ClockworkMod Recovery. After I finished steps 15., it automatically rebooted instead of letting me choose to reboot. And all the steps later on are not available in my situation as my phone rebooted to ClockworkMod Recovery. I can't turn off my phone or boot to MAGLDR, it reboot to ClockworkMod Recovery every time I power it up. I try to install an Android from SD card but I found the log saying:

I am sure I was missing some steps, now I don't know what to start with.
Please tell me what can I do! It would be much appreciated!

Thanks for replying, where can I locate the flash.cfg?
To the best of my knowledge, I think I missed that step and I don't even have a ROM installed in the phone yet.
Thanks in advance.
depends how you flashed clockwork,,,,, if you used teh nand tookit, then that is all taken care of for you, , if you sued the daf.exe version, then look in the folder where daf.exe is and there will be a file called flash.cfg (DONT confuse it with the file also there called flash.cfg.txt).
the process made simple...
instal the nand toolkit
into bootloader
connect usb
flash magldr (youve probably already done this)
restart
into magldr menu,
USB flasher
run the nand toolkit
choose the size system partition you require (it will be stated in eth first post of whatever rom you want to install, , lets say 160mb for example) by clicking 160 in the numbers down the left,
below that is a box called cache, it probably says 45, you can set that to 5 if you want, or leave at 45, or whatever you like, it doesnt matter
click repartition
into teh magldr menu
8 - ad recovery -- this starts clockwork
(assuming the .zip file for teh rom you want is already on teh sd card)
in clockwork choose 'instal zip from sd - choose zip'
select teh .zip file you already put on the card, and thats it, done.
i'm gonna try, it won't brick the phone, right?

Hello mate, I seem to recall something on some instructions I had saying Android will only work with an HSPL 2.08 or lower. I may be wrong as it's been about 6 months since I started and I continue to use it as I use the HD2 toolkit (I must say it's helped me MANY times) which I would highly recommend to anybody! If you want send me a PM and I'll hunt out the instructions I had and send you them as that with the Toolkit have never failed me yet

you get this when you run cwm from the sd card, , its basically saying there is no cache partition set up (or it cant find one) its not usually a problem. I flashes yesterday using sd cwm, received this same list of errors, and teh flash went ahead fine.

MAGLDR only works with HSPL 2.08
cLK will work with any HSPL I think (at the very least it works with HSPL 3.03), but there's a common misconception that it only works with HSPL 2.08 because in mskip's guide (see the link in my sig) it's stated in big, bold red lettering that you need HSPL 2.08, and many don't realise that that only applies to MAGLDR. Hope this clears things up for you
Dear Experts,
Happy New Year
This is my first actual post on xda-developers but I rooted my beloved A500 with the advice on here just over a year ago.
The other night I plugged my device in to charge, all was well. When I woke in the morning the device was off, booting it would only take me to the first screen which shows the Skrilax_CZ ROM welcome screen. I tried booting it a few times, as you do, and each time I got the same result.
I was able to enter the boot recovery menu fine.
In green text I got the following:
E: can't mount cache/recovery/command
Under that it said:
E: Can't mount /sdcard/
E: Can't mount /cache/recovery/command
E: Can't mount /cache/recovery/log
E: Can't open /cache/recovery/log
E: Can't mount /cache/recovery/last_log
E: Can't open /cache/recovery/last_log
I am able to get into APX mode, I only know this because the 'blackthund3r A500 Manager' is able to see the device when I try to manually put it into APX mode. I don't know if it helps at all...
I am now unable to get into the boot recovery mode since playing with the A500 Manager ion APX mode.
I found a similar thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1953751
This suggests it is proper broken.
Does anyone have any advice on what I can try? If the device is dead then is there any way to retrieve my data which is not on the SD card?
Many thanks to you all,
Robbie

Hi Brysie.
I have had the SD card removed while I tried working on it so that I wouldn't risk affecting my data on it. I seem to get the same results now whether I have the SD card inserted or not. Although I just had another try and it is now allowing me to enter the recovery mode again which it wasn't a couple of hours ago.
I am north east of the Shetland Islands on an oil rig just now and I didn't bring my card reader with me. I will try what you suggest when I get home which will hopefully be within a couple of weeks.
Hey RoverP4,
I was wondering if you manage to find a fix to this? I have had an extremely similar bricking. My message is a little different.
Code:
E:Can't mount /cache/recovery/command
Kernel: thor-kernel_v1.16mini
Updates on TegraOwners.com
Setting CPUO & CPU1 to 1GHz...
Done!
Fixing A500 Boot/Recovery Chechsums...
Running itsmagic
Done!
E:Can't mount /cache/recovery/log
E:Can't open /cache/recovery/log
E:Can't mount /cache/reovery/last_log
E:Can't open /cache/recovery/lazy_log
Thanks for any help.

You can try running babsector (search on the forum), that will attempt to repartition and format.
If that doesn't work then it is most likely due to hardware failure of the eMMC chip, so a motherboard replacement is the only real solution. Same thing happened to me, cannot install anything on it as nvflash cannot write to the device. Haven't gotten around to replacing the motherboard.
Install Skrillax_CZ's bootloader.
Install TWRP (I use version 2.4.0.0).
Wipe System and Cache partitions.
Install a compatible ROM. If you want something fairly vanilla, give Lightspeed a try.
Thanks for the suggestion. But Im almost sure the mother board was fried. It wouldn't let me mount the SD or flash drive. So I couldnt install anything. Replacing the MoB wasnt that hard. Heck I took it out 3-4 times.

This is a rewritten version of an earlier post.
I haven't been able to boot my TPT for about two weeks now. At first it was stuck on the spinning "CyanogenMod" logo, and would go no further; now it's stuck on the Lenovo logo. If I boot into CWM recovery (which usually takes several attempts; the first few times result in a black screen), first I get a list of errors:
E:Can't mount /cache/recovery/command
E:Can't mount /cache/recovery/log
E:Can't open /cache/recovery/log
E:Can't mount /cache/recovery/last_log
E:Can't open /cache/recovery/last_log
I can't apply any of the format zip files, as any attempts to apply a zip file from either the sd card or the external sd card results in an error:
E:Can't mount /sdcard
or
E:Can't mount /external_sd/
I've tried wiping the cache and the Dalvik cache, but so far nothing has allowed me to reformat the system and boot into it. This is all very frustrating. I don't mind wiping the entire system and starting from scratch - but I would like my tablet back!
Is there any way of overcoming these "Can't mount" errors?
(I read somewhere that one option is to reformat the SD card with FAT32 and install the ROM from there; dunno if that will work through.) Anyway, suggestions are very welcome!

In recovery select Wipe Factory Reset
Then Wipe cache and then reboot.
It should work.
