i just resofted my hd2 and formated the sd card with my old android on it because i had too many stupid apps and it was annoying.
i resofted WMO and formated the sd card then downloaded darkstone SuperRAM FroYo v1.5 [kernel: Hastarin custom] which i had last time, copyed to sd card, made an HSPL3 and after i launched the android, the green logo appeared but after 4-5 seconds my phone rebooted and entered in the WMO. what seems to bee the problem?
Most likely the wrong radio. When going back to winmo rom, the radio is changed. you need a 2.xx.50.xx radio (2.08.50.xx or higher)
the radio was fine. and the problem is fixed, the "android" folder was inside of another "android" folder and that seemed to be the problem. everything works great now. thanks anyway

ive got a sd problem. i ever used the same 16gb class2 microsd card tu run android builds and store winmo and android data. last night ive tried to switch from darkstone to matcc android build. i reformatted the sd card, put the files on it (only android folder nothing else) and started android. everything was fine but i´ve got a bsod(radio 2.12.50_2 and german stock vodafone rom). then ive tried another android build but i got the same error(doesnt ever got bsod before). later android didn start at all(every build). then ive tried chuckys rom with matcc vers. 1.5 and ive got the bsod problem again. tried 2 other builds and now andriod doesnt start and i cant even connect my hd2 to my pc(bootloader doesnt connect too) but chucky rom boots correctly. everytime ive tried another build i reformatted my sd card to fat32. hope someone can help me, sorry for bad english.
I find the boot loaded doesnt always work so you have to run clraret and then haret manually.
Okay...so I played around with Energy's Droid ROM (the latest one), backed up my microSD card and went to play. Came back to winmo and now I can't seem to boot up the phone from a soft reset if the memory card is inserted. Right after the flashy 'X' formation (running 28th Energy Cookie Dinik Glass Theme), the phone's screen just goes blank!
So...I remove the card, and restart the phone, and the phone boots up just fine. I tried this with a blank 1gig microSD and it still does the same thing---what is the phone looking for in the memory card that would halt the startup?
I have task 29'd the phone, reformatted the memory on the card, and still the same issue.
Any ideas?
Did you install a boot loader or something to run Android off the
SD card at windows start-up? Does that Droid ROM come with one built in? Put the android on the SD and see if it boots to it.
Tried it, still does the same thing, freezes after 'X' animation, but starts up fine w/o memory card...
android, on the other hand, works just fine...
*sigh*
And, sorry, it's not a Droid ROM, it's

update: no, never mind, it does it with Android at startup as well.
found out what may have been the issue (though yet to be thoroughly tested). The reflashed Energy ROM, was updating itself using the xda_uc restore. This is what was for some reason messing up everything--gotta start fresh, I guess..
I had the same issue with Artemis v14. It ran fine initially but the problem appeared after a while. I flashed to a newer version and formetted the SD card to get rid of the problem.
I doubt it had much to do with running Android.
Hello all,
I have a T-mobile HD2 with Mdeejay_FroYo_Sense_v._2.3_Clean_#15 build of android loaded on the stock 16GB microSD. It was loading good for a full day no problems but my GF keep downloading apps and it restarted and would not start up again. I noticed the SD card had a weird file named EncFiltLog.menc. I googled this file and discovered this is some kind of encryption that the WinMo system created, not sure how this happened since it was in android during the crash/restart.
Well I did a hard reset and did a few formats of the sd card and tried to load the build again and no luck. But another microSD with the same build of android works.
I am doing a full format on the card now and I'll see if that works, but can somebody help me out with this one.
The threads with the info about the EncFiltLog.menc file are pretty dated from 2007 - 2009 and I couldn't find any new information about this or a solution.
BTW my Rom is Stock 2.13 and my Radio is 2.15. Hope my microSD card isn't dead.
Thanks!
For a moment I thought I made the post without knowing it as I have the exact same problem! I'm using 3.14 stock ROM though.
Anyone can help?
That file has nothing at all to do with Android...like you said, its an encryption file for WinMo if you ever choose to encrypt your SD card. Anyways, sounds like your SD card is just plain old bad. This seems to be happening more and more with Android, so use it at your own risk.
I think i fixed it.
installed chuckydroidrom with flashaholic (the one that does task29 first) and formatted microsd with fat32 at highest possible allocation unit. did a fresh install, rebooted twice, then copied data.img to load everything back. Everything works fine and battery life is better then before.
chuckydroidrom - wm rom
2.15 - radio
darkstone froyo hd v3 - android build.
If everything is working fine is there any reason to fool around with the zimage? That is one thing I haven't played around with yet.
NOTE: i posted this in the development thread by mistake, reposting here. sorry
hey everyone
i tried searching the threads but i cant find anyone with my exact problem (or something similar at least).
anyways ive been running dutty's winmo rom, i have a proper .50 radio running, and i have been able to successfully boot into darkstones superram v1.5 for the past few weeks just fine.
one night i forgot to charge the battery so it drained out, in the morning i had to work and i needed a number which was on the android OS of the phone, so i immediately turned on the phone after starting to charge it and booted into android, the phone didnt have enough power though and shut off while it was checking the SD card for errors.
after this point, i started up the phone again after 2 minutes to give it some time to charge, and it was able to get into android, however on hte way to work i tried listening to music and/or getting pictures from my SD card (using astro to search the SD card) but when i clicked on a file everything force closed, the music player froze up everytime i tried to get music going, and things like the sound options in the android settings menu would force close as well.
i figured somethnig messed up on the SD card so i backed up some stuff and formatted the SD card, and reinstalled a fresh version of darkstones superram (new data.img and everything).
when i tried launching android it went to the green HTC screen for a few seconds, then the screen goes black and the phone restarts into winmo.
this kept happening so i figured maybe something went wrong with the windows mobile rom, so i installed an energy rom just now and hte same thing is still happening.
what im going to do today is try it on a different SD card to see if thats the problem, and try another SD android ROM to make sure.
but if anyone can save me some time and knows whats happening here please let me know!
any help is appriciated! thanks!
[Dec 18][RAM] darkstone SuperRAM FroYo v1.5 [kernel: Hastarin custom]
I am assuming you are using the above.
It sounds like your SD card was "damaged", try refreshing it this way.
Assuming you are using Windows PC.
Download SD Card Formatter 3 and install.
Insert SD card into card reader
Start up SD Card Formatter 3, it should detect your SD Card.
Click on OPTIONS button
Format = FULL (ERASE ON)
Format Size Readjustment = ON
Click OKAY then START
When done, put only important stuff back, like music, documents, videos, etc..
Then start Darkstone Froyo from scratch, in case those files were damaged before the backup.
SD Android stopped working on my HD2
It doesn`t boot.
I tried different SD Androids. None of them works except RAM versions, for example, SuperRam works ok.
I recieve errors
"Slab corruption: size-256 start=..."
"Slab corruption: size-256 start=... len=..."
"Single bit error detected. Probably bad ram. Run a memory test tool"
If there is no cmd output during the start, it shows logo or video, then reboots.
Tried 1.66 + HSPL 2.08 + MAGLDR
Same results
I tried differend SD cards, formatted it, doesnt help.
My configuration is 1.66 + HSPL 2.08
Please help me out! Cant find any help for couple of month.
Still need help. Any advice?
All I can suggest is downloading the build again just in case one or more of the files is corrupted. Keep your existing data.img though.
If that doesn't work, I'd reflash the WinMo ROM and Radio and then trying a clean install of the SD build.

RAM builds are working.
SD builds arnt working.
How can I take a look at console output of android boot?
There is no text output on latest builds, only splash screen or short movie.
Still need help. Any advice?
In startup.txt
changed
set cmdline "rel_path=Android"
to
set cmdline "rel_path=Android loop_partition=mmcblk0"
Works.
Solved.
