Is there any known way to increase the maximum earphone volume on the LG Optimus 7? I have noticed many threads on other phones but none on this one. What are the registry keys I need to change using MFG? Really need to raise the audio level because its still soft at volume 30. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I've found relevant keys in:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Volume
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Drivers\BuiltIn\WaveDev
You could probably accomplish this by messing around with the values...
has anyone figured out how to do this yet?
Any luck? It's just not loud enough on stock headphones.

Hello, this is my first post on this forum.
I am an experienced PDA user but a new Windows Mobile user. I have the Hermes branded as Dopod 838 Pro.
Can anyone please help me with two frustrating problems with the volume control slider:
1. I'd like to have a greater number of steps/levels other than the current 5 levels.
2. The lowest volume level isn't low enough for me - it is still too loud on speaker phone.
I've scoured the Wiki as well as searching for relevant topics/threads, but no success so far.
Any links to reg hacks etc., or pointers to a relevant thread would be appreciated.

My HD2 has been to loud since I purchased it. I have done misc tweaks to it, flashed to latest, and the volume always bothers me. What I mean is, even on the lowest possible volume level when I am on the phone I have to remove it from my ear because it is way too loud. Is there a way to fix this problem? I have yet to do any regedit on it so if there is a way to change volume setting in the registry how do I do that the best way.. is there a nice regedit for the HD2 perhaps? I am sure I can find one in this Forum but hey any tip would save me time

I've searched for and read many forums for a solution to the speaker phone volume of the HD2. Even the lowest level is far too loud to be of practical use.
I haven't found a solution to the problem yet but I recon that it would not have to be that hard to develop a piece of software or tweak the HD2 to start at a lower level volume.
Does anybody recognize this problem and know of any solution?

First, thanks to all devs for this wonderful stuff for my old HD2.
I tried up to now about 10 different NAND roms and all have the same issue. In the search I found some people with same problem, but there is no fix available...
My incall volume is at maximum every call comes in. You are not able to adjust the volume to lower the volume. I found two small workarounds, but it must be done every call.
1. Switch the loudspeaker on and off. Now you can adjust volume with the outer switches.
2. You have to press the outer switch to louder firstly. Then the setup springs to the last adjustment directly.
Maybe someone has a durably fix, I didn't found in the here?

I never had this issue. You can use ;volume ace; from market to adjust the volume.

Im wondering if anyone knows what value(s) to change in default_gain.conf or mixer_paths.xml in order to increase the bluetooth/media volume since my new heaphones are not loud at all. Ive changed practically every value pertaining to normal headset in default_gain.conf and bt-sco-headset under media output volume in mixer_paths.xml but to no avail. Ive searched and searched but cannot find any instructions pertaining to this specific model and it seems to be different than the the other Samsung models which people are having success with.
Im not comfortable flashing zips from unknown sources when its not difficult to edit a few files....Can anyone help me out and point me in the right direction? TIA.
