[Q] HTC RC E160 volume up/down instead of forward/backward - HD2 Windows Phone 7 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting an

I've seen similar threads in other forums but not here in the HD2 WP7 so I'll ask: is there a way to remap the buttons of the remote controller?
The volume is less important than the skip track to me.
Bye,

How to switch track without using the HD itself...

Hi guys
I got my HD a week ago and I am really satisfied with it!
The only thing that I am wondering is, how I can switch track while I am listening to the music with earphones. Due I dont want to pull out my phone every time I want to skip a track I am wondering how you guys do that? I mean hardware keys dont work (cos the up/down volume keys are already for the volume and the others are locked).
Are there wired earphones for the HD (attached on the 3.5mm jack) which allow to switch tracks?
Is it only possible to switch tracks with A2DP earphones over BT?
Hope you get my question
Thanks

Haven't got my HD yet, but I can switch tracks using BT headset over A2DP on my Trinity running Windows Mob 6.1, so I would assume the same will happen on the HD.
Thanks for the reply. Good news
So there is "only" a unwired solution am I right? Do wired earphones with the same functionality not exist right now attached to the 3.5mm jack?

Don't forget, I haven't got my HD yet, so am only guessing.
Don't know if they exist yet, but I would imagine they will. Anyone got the old SPV C500 (I think) miniusb phones with the vol/track change buttons that can try it out?

About to get an HD tomorrow, but my solution is going to be to set the volume up/down as next/previous track and set the volume from the HD, since i've found out that I change tracks way more often than volume level
You could get an inline remote control? I have one on my diamond

This interest me. I would also like to keep the device in my pocket without having to take it out to change track and alter volume.
Can you provide a link to this product that you would recommend? Thank mate!

On your Trinity, can you use the BT to control, while at the same time using a wired headset?

If you use Mortplayer you can assign the hardware buttons to whatever controls you want.
AE button plus maps the keys to your liking.

Maybe even short press up/down for next/previous and long press for vol up/down.

Would love to try this out, but I still don't have my HD yet.
Can someone try and and confirm that it can be done?
This would remove most of my unhappiness for not having the D-pad.

Hi
tryed out mortplayer! Nice program. The only thing that worries me is, that there are no 800x480 skin out there. so everything is only in 640x480. Do you know how to edit the *.mpz files to fit the screen?

[Q] Ipod/iPhone remote controls

Hey people.
There are many good quality earphones built for phones on the market at the moment and the ones that have controls in addition to a microphone are more often than not tailored for Apple products.
I purchased one and it has three buttons. Volume up/down and a play /pause button which doubles up as a call answer/end button. The play/pause button works, but doesn't answer/end calls, and the volume up/down buttons don't work either.
Is there an app that reads the signals sent from the remote and translates them to android-capable commands?
Also, the play/pause button also "next track" when double pressed, and "rev track" when held down; is there an app that translates these commands to android-capable commands?
Thanks.

[Q] remap volume buttons?

I have a us cellular s4. SCH-r970. I didn't see a forum for this model, so hopefully this is close enough.
I would like my volume keys to control media volume only. I have no desire to control my ringer with them. Is there a way to change this behavior on the stock ROM? The phone is rooted.

[Q] CarbonRom Headset control

Sorry, there is no dedicate forum for Carbon so I figured that this would be close enough.
I have a pair of 3 button earbuds that are meant for android. The problem is, all the buttons just get treated as play/pause. Is there something I can change to make the volume buttons on the headset actually control the volume?
I've already tried the headset apps on the play store, and they don't work

Changing songs using earphone with dedicated volume buttons ?

I bought Xiaomi mi earphone few days ago & ever since I've been searching how to skip music tracks using volume buttons of earphone. I couldn't find anything helpful on google. If you know how to make it work please share it here.
Try this: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.shengande.degausslabs
