Hi guys,
I hope this is the right section where to post. I searche around the forum but i did not found any question related to this one.
It happens that if i answer to a generic sms, and i've already received some sms from that contact, if i start typing with the qwerty, the system scroll along the sms not allowing me to write down the new one.
Have you ever experimented this behaviuor??
Yes, same problem here, unrooted stock rom!

Hi:
Few days ago I started experiencing some sms problem. Whenever I send a SMS, I doesn´t appear as a sent message nor in my SMS history or my SMS thread registry.
Any help in this subject?????
Thanks.
Thread moved to general discussion as its not relevent to rom development
TC,
Did you install anything new?
Did you mess with your phone operator settings?
You must have done something, try to backtrack a little. Things just don't go wrong out of the blue.
Cheers.
I´m ofently installing and unisntalling programs...I like to try things out a lot, locking programs, skins, etc etc...omnia II software...UI do know my SMS arce recieved by the one y send them. They just won´t appear as sent in my histories...!!!
Sorry if this is a noob question, but I've read through the wiki, faq, and tried searching for the answer but can't find it anywhere.
I'm using the stock ROM (v.1.56.405.1), and once I've read an sms I cannot mark it as 'unread' again.
If I go into the inbox and don't use the threaded view, in the menu options the 'mark as unread' option is greyed-out and I can't select it. I can't find a similar option in TouchFlo either.
Please can anyone help? Thanks in advance
Hi there,
I'm having the very same problem. Have you been able to find a solution?
Cheers,
js
Nope, no luck as of yet.
any luck? i have the same problem.
is it 3 of us only having this problem?
I have started using the 'Energy' ROM for my Touch HD, and even in this (and Topix's ROM) there's still no way to re-mark a read txt as unread that I can find. I think it must just be a limitation of the phone. The only solution will be for someone very clever to make a little program that adds the function as an extra feature
Hi all,
Before upgrading the ROM to the official HTC WM 6.5, I backed up all of my text messages using PPM Backup. When I finally restored them afterwards, I found that the message threads have been put together by WM completely out of order.
Essentially all messages sent by me are listed as "most recent", with the messages sent by the other person are "less recent".
This wouldn't be a big deal if my message threads were 4-5 messages long, but when they're more like 300 messages (say, between me and a girlfriend), I would have to flick through page after page of my old messages just so I get to one of her most recent messages.
Is there any fix for this? Any program that can restore them better? Anything at all?
Thanks,
WM (no relation)
hi guys,
kindly assist in this as im having the same issue
Hi guys,
I've searched the forum but couldn't find an answer so here goes...
In the HTC (SMS) messaging app (conversation mode) I am getting two entries for every person. Pressing either one, for the same person, brings up exactly the same messages. I've had a look in traditional mode and the messages themselves are not duplicated, neither are they when displayed in the Sense UI thingy!
I'm hoping this is just going to be some sort of database/text/xml file problem which if deleted will be re-built but things are never that simple!
I'd prefer an answer that doesn't involve a hard-reset as there are LOTS of text messages I'd rather keep (and again, the messages themselves are not duplicated, just their initial thread display entry in conversation mode)
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks.
Check your contacts and see if they are not duplicated...
Have you used PIM backup? I get the problem when restoring messages from that?
Hi guys,
Thanks for your replies.
@DeadVirus: I've just checked my contacts and there are no duplicates on my phone and my SIM has no contacts on it.
@corny2007: I haven't used any kind of PIM backup software.
However, rather oddly, the problem has sort of fixed itself. By "sort of" I mean everything has returned to normal for all except one thread.Typically it's the one thread that probably gets used more than any other (you guessed it... its for a woman! ) and its probably the one that I least want to lose texts from!
I'm wondering if this is being caused by duplicate texts on the phone and SIM. Is there any software that allows the deleting of text messages on a SIM?
Once again, thanks for your help, any further assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Okay, so I've found a "fix" for the one remaining duplicated thread: Delete all the messages and then undelete them one-by-one (which is no small task, given there is probably about 200 messages!).
Anyways, its fixed now. Thanks guys for your help.
Hello everyone,
I'm new user of HTC HD2 and also new in this forum.
First of all I'd like to thank all of you to have made such a mine of knowledge.
I read a lot of topic but could not find answer to my problem, maybe one can help me.
I have a notification that pop up when I'm receiving and sms (a box at the bottom of the screen) but it appears only for a very short time... no time to read the message.
How can I increase the time of this notification?
If I'm receiving an email the pop up stay untill I'm unlocking the screen, this is very conveniente.
Thanks for your help, I have few other problem but I'll see later for the othersss.
Regards
Daniel
