Go to Settings, Applications, Manage Applications. Select the 'All' tab, then select Market from the list. Select 'Uninstall Updates', confirm when it asks you to, then try downloading an app again.

Market Apps Won't Install, Says Paused?

I just got my Dell Streak today and all I've done so far is root it using this method:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=997581
I can't install any apps, it'll ask for permissions and act like it's starting to download but then it goes into "pause" mode and doesn't install or download.
Any ideas?
If I understand you correctly, it starts to download, and actually says "Starting Download" but then doesn't download?
My solution to the problem was to delete the Market cache (Settings>Applications>Manage Applications, select "All" tab, then Market>Clear Cache) and then run Market again. This worked, but a side effect was that I had to install each app manually. No big deal...at least it worked.
Yep, exactly! Thanks, I'll try it!

One more thing to try if the App is hanging when downloading
Go out of the market
Start up GOGGLE VOICE and sign out of Goggle Voice and do it again start it up and sign out
Go back into the market go to the app that is trying to download and cancel it then click install again and it will download.
I cannot remember why Voice interferes with the market but goggle knows about it and that fix came from there website
Hope that helps

App problem

Hey guys, I have a problem when installing new apps or doing updates.
When I try to install new apps (angry birds Rio) it will download but not install, it has done this on other apps too. I have deleted apps to make room and done a factory reset and its still not working.
Any ideas?
Thanks

Have you tried to wipe the marked data from application settings? Don't know if it's going to help, but it's no harm in trying
Does it give you an error message when it gets to the install process? You could try unmounting the SD card temporarily before you try installing apps, this solved the only problem I've had installing apps from the Market.

Settings - applications - all aplications, locate marked and wipe all the data. Next time you start marked you should have to agree with terms as you did the first time.
Tried that mate, still not working

I've had this happen in the past and the only way I could get around this issue was to delete the file 'Smdl2tmp1.asec'
To do this, connect your phone to a PC and use Windows Explorer to search for the file. You will need to set Windows Explorer to read hidden files for it to find this file.
Hope this works for you too.

If the apps download but don't install you can install them manually. Using any file manager head to /cache/download , here you will see all the apps you tried installing recently. They don't have useful names but the icons should help you remember what they are.
Find the package and install it manually.

Right I sorted it. I took out the sd card and it installed it for some reason

For the new version of the Market?
1. Go to Google
2. Search for "android market 3.1.3 apk"
3. Select the first result from the list
4. Download the application and install (make sure you've ticked 'allow unknown applications' in your settings)

Try wiping the data for Market. This can be done in Settings -> Applications -> Manage Applications -> All

Go to settings->Language & Input->Language; and select English US (or whichever u prefer). And Market should work after that.
I had the same problem when I switched to ICS rom (by texasice). Found this solution after a lot of searching and it definitely worked for me.
Btw, no other solution worked for me (clearing cache, dalvik..).
I always get the msg "Authentications required. Please log into your Google account." :-(
P.D I use the Market Enabler

[Q] Does CM7 come with that android market included?

Or do I need to download and re-install it(I had it on my rooted stock firmware)? Forgive me if I come across as stupid.
You need to download gapps.

I've already downloaded and installed them via TWRP, but I dont see the market listed in my apps. Is it just built into the CM7 system now? because when I press the searchbar I have the option to search the market. I'm not connected to wifi at my house so i can't tell otherwise.
If it doesn't show in your app drawer, then use root explorer to install it. I had to install it manually after installing gapps. It was located @ /system/app/vending.apk - I just clicked it and installed it. After that, a quick reboot and I was good.
