The specs are essentially the same as the epic, in that there is a qwerty keyboard, 1Ghz hummingbird. I'm not sure about screen resolution, but considering that this is also a CDMA phone, does anyone think it's possible to port the Indulge's 2.2 rom the Epic?

Check out new 4G LTE phone from MetroPCS. Similar but lesser model to Epic 4G. However, they have competitive offers, such as no contract unlimited plan for $60/mo.

You might want to look over on the SDX Developers forum. The Indulge looks a lot like the Samsung transform. The Samsungs are usually over there. Vampirefo is the developer to ask about the Indulge. He was the main guy working on the Froyo port for the Transform.

Purchase the Nexus S or MyTouch 4G.
Nexus s isn't available, and I don't like the my touch 4g to commercial to much bloat I'm looking for vanilla android experience or sense the evo was prefect also would like a 4.3 screen and front facing camera, was going for the DHD but it doesn't work in the states
The only differences between the evo and the hd2 that I can think of are:
The evo has hdmi out, 4g of course, an 8mp camera compared to 5, a kick stand, and uses cdma. I'm sure there are more differences.

Its made by Samsung, so I wouldn't say its gonna be a better phone yet. With Sammy phones the paper specs always look nice but in real world use the phone will be an epic fail. I've deal with it several times. Well just have to wait and see. Google should have just stayed with HTC IMO.

I went from GSM to CDMA (AT&T to Sprint). From T-Mobile, you'd be saving since you get free roaming on Verizon (which you can force with Roam Control).
Why didn't Google "stay" with T-Mobile?

This hardly matters given T-mobile's poor 3G coverage compared to practically every competing major carrier in the US.
It's sort of like the Evo/Epic 4G. Yea, 4G was nice but it's not like I'll have it anytime soon. I'm waiting for Verizon and/or AT&T to launch LTE, or maybe go back to AT&T and get an HSPA+ device. All I need is about 1.5 mbps consistent download speeds and I'm more than happy, TBQH. It's just a phone.

OK I get the want for 4g. I dont see the point in buying a phone with close to the same specs when we have such decent phones around the corner.
Galaxy s 4g is not worth the upgrade for a 2-3 seconds faster page loads. I will hold onto my Vibrant and my soon to be HD2 until the tegra 3 arrives next year.

Not really. Seems like it's more of a world-phone that I don't need. Now if I was a big traveler, I'd probably be all over this as it's the first good Android option on Sprint that has CDMA and GSM. Probably be the most expensive Android Sprint carries because of it.

That would be the rumored new phone possibly coming to T-Mobile. A couple of tech news sites ran an article a few weeks back speculating with the exact info you see on that page. A couple of sites have the "rumored" specs and pic and are offering pre-sale. This is not confirmed by either T-Mobile or Samsung so I definitely wouldn't pre-order yet.
Another thread around here asking who's getting it is about three weeks old also.

I think galaxy note is targeted for specific people.
Personally, I will not buy it, because:
1. it's not nexus (fear of being left behind in terms of updates+features)
2. Too big for my pocket
But I see that it has usefulness that I heard web browsing is so much better due to bigger screen. The bigger screen allows reading, watching and typing better.
About stylus, I think its a gimmick. Unless you have something like iPad size (which still limited that you have to write like you are using a crayon), writing in touch screen is cumbersome.

It's freaking huge. Have you ever held an iphone? Yeah, I'm comparing apples to oranges, but the phone is huge.
The Dell Streak, compared to this, is longer and thicker, but the Note is wider. There are some videos up on YouTube with people putting the Note in their pocket and making calls and it's really not that big. Heck most cordless landline phones are bulkier than the Note.
Also if it gets ICS with the new version of TW that is less inttusive , that would be awesome.
I put a comparison pic of the note and the gnexus and an article up in the rumor thread. Ill find it.

I can tell
i like the Note
its dope its lil big for me i suppose for a phone
i mean the s2 is a 4.5 inch screen
thats even big enough and well
since its fast and responsive i wont use the pen much
It's a Kenny Powers reference: NSFW
But yeah, I really want the Note.
AT&T has had the note for over a month. Used it for 2 weeks...it was OK. Barely fits in the back pocket and made my Epic feel like a toy. AT&T Hspa 4G is the biggest crap going but once LTE is spread out more it may be useable. The CDMA version will be called The Journal and rumored to go to Verizon and maybe Sprint.
