Googleads Doubleclick spyware/virus? - Droid Incredible General

I have been getting these popups from googleads.g.doubleclick.com. The weird thing is it opens a browser when I am in appbrain or zedge. It pops up and has just a banner in the top of the browser. I am not accidentaly or purposely hitting the banners in the app, it just happens as I navigate through the app.
I have seen it once before on different ROM, after wipe it stopped. Just want to know how to get rid of it without wipe.

adfree android?

I installed that, I think that fixed it. Still wonder what the deal is with it though...

I get this sometimes. Don't know the solution. I am as interested as you to see if one shows up.
i get this every time I'd really like to know if there is a fix for it.
Are yall rooted with Tiamat? The problem occurred after rooting and flashing the kernal.
I have this issue, with all browsers, but only some of the time. I believe I know why, but don't have a solution. When launching the browsers from other apps like twitter, RSS readers, any other app really, sometimes in the multitasking menu the apps that you launched the browser from shows up instead of the browser itself.
I never seem to have this issue when I launch the browser by itself, it shows up in the multitasking menu just fine. Perhaps the launching app replaces the browser in the multitasking menu?
Not sure if others have noticed this or have any evidence to the contrary, might be intermittent, but it seems that every time I want to go back to the browser and its not in the multitasking menu I have launched the browser via another app like twitter or RSS reader.
This also happens sometimes with file managers launcher apps from files in the file system.

Stock Rooted, Browser crashes with Chainfire installed

Odd...I installed Chainfire using the PowerVR plugin, my browser opens to a white window, and automatically closes almost immediately. I clear the data on the browser, it opens the first time no problem. Second time I open it, it's back to the white window and crash.
I uninstalled Chainfire, now the browser works just fine. Reinstall, same problem pops back up.
Any ideas what I can do? I really hate to have install Chainfire and reboot every time I want to play Dead Space.
BTW, I did try switching the plugin in Chainfire to "none," didn't make a difference.
I'm surprised I'm the only one having this problem. Nobody else has come across this?
This happens to me also... I was wondering what the hell was crashing my browser...

tracker.tpc.re floating ad?

So,
Yesterday I got this banner ad towards the bottom of the screen. It has an "opt out" tab at the bottom right. You click on this and it loads a web page that prompts you to install an app, use it then delete the app. Obviously didn't download the app.
Anyone else having this? Here's a pic.
This will be coming from an app you have installed. Check the apps you recently installed, it will be one of them.
Yeah, problem is I've been quite busy installing lately!
I've installed adguard and I think it may have worked. Ad popped up, but not filled in, then disappeared.
Score!
Try installing AirPush Detector. This can uually detect which apps are pushing out ads.
Well, airpush stops halfway through. Sent a report log to the developer. Maybe they can figure out.
Try Addons Detector. This also helps to find apps that are pushing ads.
Just press scan. After the scan, select 'Addons' and choose "Push Notifications" from the drop down (though I believe it is selected by dault)
Thank you. I've never had this problem, so I've never looked into these types of apps.
solved on my wife's samsung galaxy A5 2016
i clicked on one of the ads and a web page for the advertiser opened in a built-in in-app browser. i then pressed the application switcher button and it showed that the page had opened in an app called file manager.
i uninstalled file manager and then wiped application cache (turn phone off; then turn on by holding in power button + home button + volume up, when phone vibrates release power key but keep volume up and home key depressed).
note that adds ons detector nor airpush detector yielded positive results.
note that my wife is fairly (she says 99% sure) she did not install the file manager app - it most likely updated (theory). we both suspect the app came pre-installed on the phone. i was using the file manager app to browse her files and it seemed fairly legit as an app - it worked as one expects a file manager app to work.
note her phone is not rooted.
solved

I had the same problem...... tried everything but didn't get any results. I uninstalled "Bluetooth app sender" and everything was back to normal. No more floating ads.

All links open chrome in foreground, default app opens in background.

Im at my wits end with this issue...
I'm getting a bit desperate here, and i cant find a solution anywhere else... i asked before, and it seemed the other people having this issue were using nova or at least some sort of non oem launcher, but some people with nova never saw the problem..
whenever i click on anything in an app... aka, a link in gmail to an ebay item...
what happens, is it opens chrome and displays the last thing i visited on chrome. sometimes if i hit back, it will go back to the ebay app it was supposed to open in and display what i was looking for. other times if i hit back, it goes back a page in chrome till i get to the home page, and then if i hit back again it finally closes chrome and it takes me to the ebay app and the results i want.
the same thing happens if i click on a link from search in the google app... if it is a link handled by an app, it will open with that app. if it is a misc link, it will open chrome showing the last thing i viewed in chrome, then i click back once or a few times(or switch back to the google app via recent apps), and boom... the link is open in the google app.
another example.. open a link in metal(my reddit app, but it also does it with bacon reader)... it opens chrome showing the last thing i viewed in chrome. if i back out of chrome, or go into recent apps and switch back to the reddit app.
it is absurdly annoying. this happened with my old lgv20, and it happens with my new one that i got as a warranty replacement. Idk what app or setting followed me over to the new phone and i have no idea how to fix it. anyone else have this problem?
the only time i can get the issue to go away is... if i clear google chrome defaults in the app manager.. and i have a 2nd browser installed, like firefox... and every time it asks to open a random link in chrome or firefox, if i select just once... the issue stays away. if i either uninstall firefox, or click chrome and set it as the default, the issue comes back.
thanks. Im honestly getting desperate as it is making phone use very very cumbersome, especially for switching back and forth between apps.
occasionally making sure chrome isnt in my recent apps will help, but not always.
anyone else here with experiencing the same?

Unwanted ads popping up...

Hello,
Last weekend, I decided to do a factory reset of my H915 (Oreo, stock, no root). I then reinstalled all my apps and then added a few apks. Soon after, I started to get unwanted fullscreen ads popping up often, wheter I was on Facebook or browsing with Chrome. I did a scan with my ESET antivirus, it found nothing. Installed Malwarebytes, scanned, nothing again, uninstalled it.
Then, I uninstalled these new apks I didn't have before, but the damn ads are still popping up. It never happened before doing the factory reset. So, one of the apks must have had a bug...
Is there a trick (a good app) to remove these damn popups appearing, or I'll have to factory reset again and be more careful while installing apks?
Thanks.

if you are an advanced user, you can find the source app showing the ads by adb logcat or ps commands. if not, just reset, install suspicious apps one by one and see.
I have had that happen. Should be an easy fix...go to settings/general/apps, then scroll all the way to the bottom, long press the blank (invisible) app or apps and uninstall.

I accidentally installed one of these invisible apps that I thought was a real app. It was at the bottom of my app list in settings, got kinda scared but I haven't had any issues after uninstalling.
Ended up doing a factory reset... Should have checked back here before...
Thanks for the infos anyway.
ohh so thats what they do lol.... i always make sure that i dont install invisible icon apps hehe
