SMS capability on W7 PC - Jeyo/Mobiledit/other? - Focus General

jeyo mobile companion allows you to SMS and make calls on your netbook/computer through your phone.
i have a netbook with windows 7 starter that is constantly connected to my focus via bluetooth. it has been hell finding something that allows SMS capabilities and especially for windows 7. my phone automatically answers incoming calls (which is neat that i can receive calls on my netbook, but not so neat that i can't ignore them and my phone automatically answers the phone).
jeyo seems perfect, but i can't find that windows 7 supports it at all.
also samsung has a pc studio software just for this, however it doesn't seem that samsung's pc studio works with the focus.
there is another program called mobiledit, but alas, it does not work with the focus.
anyone have any other options or ways to make any of these work?

dial now link for location field of calendar event

This is driving me batty so I am keeping my fingers crossed that I just have not used the right search term to find the answer.
One feature I can not seem to get working on my 8125 that I used constantly on my old smartphone was the ability to have phone numbers entered into the location field of a calendar invite automaticaly dialed when clicked / tapped.
I have on average 6 conference calls a day entered as calendar events and it is standard practice for our company to put the conf call number in the location field. Having to edit the event, copy the number then go to the phone and dial it is driving my nuts.
Anybody know a way to get the feature I used to use so much from WM 2003 working my WM5?
Thanks in advance.
You might be SOL...
My limited tests show that you have to come up with some way to send yourself an email reminder and dial from the email....
You said that you used to be able to do this in PPC2003 but I think it is a feature of the Smartphone edition. WM5 on Wizard is PPC version.
You are correct
In further review my old phone was using smartphone 2003 not a full windows mobile client. This was a GREAT feature hopefully they will get this into windows mobile soon.
Thanks
I have the same need. I sure hope someone can provide that. I tried Pocket Informant 2007, but the capability is missing there as well.
I found AgendaOne has just what I needed for this and more at:

It's a commercial program, but does alot more. Specifically designed for both Windows Mobile 5 PPC as well as Smartphones. You can try it first.

Call Conferencing/Video Call on MSN/Skype Mobile

Hi,
I have been using Windows Live Messenger/Skype off my Hermes for quite some time now and I liked it. Now, I will be going outstation for 2 weeks, and I wish to stay in touch with my friends and family. So is it possible for me to use video call off wifi connections? If yes, what programs need I use? I have tried windows live messenger and skype on my phone. They do not support video calls.
Thanks
I have the touch pro, and also want to use msn with videocalling....
Try Microsoft Portrait. Microsoft Portrait is a research prototype for mobile video communication. I've tried it nearly a year ago. It worked, but the quality was awful.
Would be a good thing

the developing has stopped...
What would you suggest to make video calls to msn contacts, google contacts or skype contacts? all together maybe with just one program
i thought something like frings but with video...

[IDEA] Cherple for WinMO, Texting through Internet

http://www.cherple.com/downloads.asp
This is a simple application and free service that lets PC and mac users carry a 2 way text messaging convo with any US cell phones.
Well that got me thinking, it would be even cooler and more useful if we could either port this onto Windows Mobile or write a simple application that would connect to this service/website and use it to send text messages to any US mobile number.
As development improves, we could also attempt including stuff like sending text messages to people from your contacts & making it more finger-friendly & etc.

VoIP in Windows Phone 8

Those of you who own a Windows Phone 8, is there an option or a menu to add your VOIP provider? I have a VoIP service which I use on iPhone 5 via an app to make calls over data or wifi. Wondering if there is something like that on windows phone 8, since I heard something they said about seamless VoIP calling.

Seamless VOIP calling does not work the way you think it does (and there are many articles that describe how it works).
Its a feature of the OS that software developers plug in to. In the case of Skype, the people over at Skype develop an app, Microsoft has opened up numerous areas of the OS to VOIP-based applications that can do things like run in the background, accept and start calls, etc. All this functionality needs to be built by the software developer to take advantage of it. So until Skype releases their app, the phone can't do anything by itself or through some setup menu. Same goes for any other VOIP service/company.
