INSTALLATION

You have two options:
Run EXE file on you Windows Mobile without installation. It do not put icon to start menu.
Install the CAB file from your device like other program. It put icon to start menu.

If you use WM6.5 you can change right soft key for myAction (tested on WM6.5 emulator). If you run myAction first time you will be ask about it.
If you prefere do it later you need modify two value: SK2URL and SK2TEXT:

SK2TEXT=myAction
You must restart WM after you change it.

CUSTOMIZE

When you start myAction program you can customize it by tap on white plus sign. It change color, will be red, and then you can tap on any icon.
After it you can choice program, icon and attribute:

You can customize it by using registry. All you can find there:
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\myAction]
You can edit it and sometimes it is fastest method.

If you like icons like on first in first threat you can use example files.
After unpack zip file you must import reg file and put icons to \program files\myAction\pic folder. Of course you can edit reg file or icons to customize myAction.

Man, this is beautiful, really nice. A few questions:
1) Do you believe it would/should work on CDMA devices?
2) I know you say 'Recommended' install to device memory, but I have always installed all my programs to Internal Storage (even things like PSshutXP, fredsTaskManager, DiamondTweak -all are programs that are connected to the functioning of the device-) and have always had success (I hate to use precious device storage space). So, any chance it would work if installed to Internal Storage? Have you tried?
3) Can a user change the order of icons on myAction?
4) Is it possible to have the Start menu/icon as one of the icons?
5) A Readme?

1. I do not know what do you mean because I do not know CDMA
2. It is only recommended. It should word from Internal Storage but I think wifi on/off do not word in this version if you put to IS.
3. No in this version. In next version will be possibe change all icons (look and order) and programs in myAction. As I wrote in first post I wrote this programme for myself usage and functions are sufficient for me. It try run: \Program Files\myAction2\myAction.exe
If you can run it you should manually create myAction2 folder and copy myAction.exe to this. It is rather feature function.

If you need to run klaxon you must put it \Program Files\Klaxon\Klaxon.exe first. See 2nd post in this thread.

Pre installation requirements:
1. After downloading the provided material extract the files in a folder.
2. If not already installed, install the provided HSPL.exe
3. Always keep the provided ruu_signed.nbh and Leo_CustomRUU.exe in the same folder.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Do not flash it without the HSPL.exe installation, simply does not boot.

Installation instruction summary:
1. Extract the downloaded file in an folder, i.e. D:\My LEO flash
2. Power off the device.
3. Press and hold the volume down button, and press power on button.
4. While holding the volume down button the device will enter into boot loader mode (tricolor screen).
5. Release the volume down button.
6. Double click on Leo_CustomRUU.exe and
7. Follow Leo_CustomRUU.exe displayed instructions.
8. After flashing (about 10 min) the device will boot and go to home screen.
9. Let the phone operator service to complete.
a. Cancel or let auto configuration service to complete.
b. Power off the device.
c. Power on the device and it will go to WP7 theme.

Just tap and hold on a blank area of the touch screen.
A tick (v) and (+) bar will be displayed.
Tap on + to enter to add screen.
Tap on the icon tick (v) to exit.
You can delete and rearrange buttons by moving each one up, down, left, right.
To delete/move icons just tap and hold on a button or hub icon.
The four arrows and small tick (v) and delete (icon) bar will be displayed.
Tap on the delete icon to delete the button and the on tap on tick (v) to exit.
Tap on an arrow to move it.

An approach for the implementation of a WP7 ROM image on the HD2 device. by ansar
Dear forum members,
Due to the release of many WP7 ROMs for certain devices, many HD2 users and not only ask if, i or they or others, can "burn" the ROM's to HD2.
Yet the reply is that the possibilities are to "burn" their devices.
Even for the new coming devices the ROM upgrade will be difficult, as far as i see from the analysis of the leaked/issued ROMs.
Thus, and due to my current status of development, it is time to report some facts of some approaches to implement a WP7 ROM.
But, always there is a but, there is no time to an extensive one to cover all issues.

A. The way of a direct boot.
The tools to extract the xip, the imgfs.bin and the rest are ready.
The tools to reconstruct the ruu_signed.nbh are also ready, even for HD2 cause for the rest
i.e. the HD 7 and the other known to me devices, was more strait forward.
The kitchen is also ready but platform builder is sensitive to the provided WP7 ROMs are probably built with ms platformrebuilder.
So for up to now reconstruction of the imgfs.bin, os.nb.payload, os.nb and ruu_signed.nbh takes place with additional effort.
No tools can yet be provided by me for a windows operating system like XP, Vista or 7, or other OS.
The direct flashing approach for other than HD2 devices needs development of new hard SPL's but
due to have a device, hopefully soon, more reports specifically about that will be released later.
The direct flashing approach for HD2 needs more development due to the following:
1. The previous MSFLASH50 header is no more valid (for all devices analyzed)
.. The new flashing layout is a hellout for us.
.. Also a new introduced SPL to route the device (by MS and OEM) about 25MB is included in official *.exe ROM files.
2. A small 1MB driving SPL (by OEM) is also included inside the ruu_signed.nbh (to make our lives harder).
3. The XIP is not the same as the previous known two modules assembly (cold and normal) but (up to now) of six modules.
.. These xip sections include common name modules but also are different in sizes, especially nk.exe
.. and seem to boot in an ordered way, alternate booting and/or separate booting maybe.
These are only some of the main difficulties that give the magnitude of the problems to overcome.
I was lucky enough not to brick it twice, but development will be continued.
For more info and uploaded material, if any, about this way see post #4.

B. The way of an indirect boot.
It is not possible yet due to bricking results to use booting images of other devices.

C. The way from bottom to top, from WM6.5 to Wp7, a safe but time consuming one.
I personal believe that we can drive the imgfs.bin of the WP7 ROMs on HD2 form the state we are now, i.e. from WM6.5.

More reports about these with the provision of the developed ROMs’ for C above.

WP7 Rom image would suggest a true WP7 rom so without running 6.5 i think

The WP7 ROM is very aggressive to other core systems and includes:
- WM6 security rules.
- a policy xml in almost all of SYS/OEM packages that binds them together.
- Two device IDs, one of the device manufacturer and one for the Operator i.e. Voda, o2 etc.
- Special firmware version, files time stamp and core version checking, etc.
These results to blocks the ROM image of booting, if not so careful when adding packages or files.
So each addition is done after some flashings and is time consuming.
The most challenging add on will be the new WP7 UI.
We will see how far it will go and if this WP7 UI can be implemented.
The final target will be the change of the XIP and booting to the new OS, if possible.

This is a program to complement your ROM. It is able to produce a CWM flashable zip with apps your ROM might be missing (T-Mob ones, launchers, utilities, etc). It also has other tools available for you. It can produce an empty flashable zip for you (read more about it here). And now, it has "repositories." Developers can upkeep their own repos with whatever files they wish. Roms, themes, mods, etc.

Mac users: you need to have java 1.6 installed for this to work. i tested this on a friend's mac (running 10.5.8 & java 1.5) and it wasn't working. also i was not able to update her java to 1.6 either. so i'm assuming you need to have snow leopard installed for this to work...

I haven't tried using it to mod any roms, but it does start up and show dialogues on the Mac OS X 10.6.6 with Java 1.6. The minor annoyance is that it creates the kitchen folder where the jar-file is.

On a side note, if no one wants to add the Stock AT&T apps I guess I could do it. I don't have a Cappy, but are there any strange APK names I should be aware of?

Wow, this is really cool. We're getting to the point where ROM flashers can very easily make their own customizable ROMs without breaking a sweat!

Buggie bug
Just tried it. Having problems to compile... I attached a capture of the error.
It stops when it gets to the "Moving a file" part and just stays there.
I'm running W8.1

Maybe the program can not access the language pack, or language pack file is damaged.
Try:

It is packed/obfuscated with the obsidium packer before there were only 2 detections now it has shown many detections because of packer signatures the AV trigger it as virus.
I will try another packer next time,all packers i have are pirated and all pirated gets triggered easily by AV ,do not have enough to buy legitimate version of packer.
Anyway i have AVG free antivirus and hopefully it doesnot detecr it and i use this tool for my daily work.

This was not flagged when i released it now ot is flagged by half of antiviruses because company forwarded it that the packer used to pack is pirated copy ,if you are a research analyst you would know how these antiviruses comapnies sometimes pressurize developers to pay to them so they can keep it clean
Anyway patches and cracks / packers always result in antiviruses triggers
Except you have legitimate copy of packers
I have all kind of packers/obfuscators in my HDD and most of them are triggered as virus because it is pirated copy/cracked packers without licenses
Anyway i use it for myself and hopefully AVG free antivirus i use didnot triggered it yet so i have no problem ,once it trigger then i will think about it
