I was wondering how come when i run the same live wallpaper in both Sense and launcher pro i dont lag in launcher pro at all but i do in sense?
Is it just sense being its normal annoying self?
Thanks
Pretty much. Sense is a resource hog, especially on a device like the Wildfire. If you want to keep Sense, try light LWP's, which are a few KB's in size. Personally, I didn't find these lagging at all.
I tried using LWP on my Wildfire but it sorts of lags when i scroll.between screens...do u guys deactivate wallpaper scrolling?

Launcher pro settings - appearance settings - Check the "Disable Wallpaper Scrolling" option.

Thanks, you posted some cool apps which I needed: Smooth Calendar and the Visual Task Switcher.
I went away from Sense just recently, since it's slow - Especially in the app drawer.
Anyway, do you know a good Mail-Widget? I like the one from HTC but that isn't useable (as any HTC Widget) on LP. (I got Launcher Pro Plus btw)
My only problem with non-sense launchers(LauncherPro and ADW Launcher) is that they both lack a good looking mail widget or a facebook widget(No, don't suggest Pure Messanger, its not even close to HTC's).
I think that LP is a cool launcher, althou its preformance kindda lacking...
Its choopy and laggish when moving between docks, to the point it rly bugs me, other than that, top notch.

What about LauncherPro Plus? It iterally has cloned sense widgets incl. Facebook, twitter, friends (friendstream) messaging, bookmarks and contacts

I am using Launcher pro plus at the moment and it does not have any sort of mail widget. Pure messenger does not cut it

How did you set up the Sense HD Lockscreen?
It's good that we have choice people, no need to down rank aosp android or sense or xyz....
I always return to Sense no matter what rom I try. AOSP, MIUI, Cyanogen....For some reason 'regular' Android just seems 'bland' to me.
And also, Sense isn't slow but I do agree that the app menu is slow in scrolling. Something that plagued Sense since the Hero 1.6 days.
OP: Great set-up, I am sure people will he thankful for your set-up.

Is there way around loosing all of the HTC widgets when installing launcher pro.....namely the beautiful widget?
I have the beautiful widget .apk but I don't think it will work as well as the mt4g stock version.
Also, I had to un install launcher pro to go back to using the sense UI. I tried using home switcher without any luck.

I think the stock HTC widgets will not work as they require HTC framework and code in the Launcher to utilize it. i.e. you have to use Espresso Launcher for them to work.
As for installing and uninstalling Launcher Pro... I have no idea as I use ADW and can freely switch, although I never do.
Thanks.... wish the "faves" button and the "genious" button could be changed..... a side from those "features" I don't mind the sense UI.

If all else fails you can always clear defaults in settings.
Menu -> settings -> applications -> manage applications -> all -> (find your current launcher) touch it -> press the "clear defaults" button
The above also works for your internet, messaging, etc

Purchase launcher pro plus, it had most of the htc like widgets

The old fancy widget looks exactly like the htc clock. That's why they had to change it. Its easy to find on the net.
Doesn't do the flipping action like the HTC one does. In fact, I believe only the newest versions of the HTC clock actually flip. I ran the HTC flip clock on my Desire ported ROM on the N1 and it didn't flip there either.
Thanks.
Not only does the newest HTC clock flip, when it rains a windshield wiper wipes your screen. When it's cloudy your screen clouds up. Pretty neat effects i thought.
I .got over it though. Ive had weatherbug elite for a while so im back to using it with launcher pro and aquarium live wallpaper.
I like a nice clean screen..... so those large iphone like icons combined with no customizable dock had to go.

Beautiful Widgets are the exact same thing. Clock and the Weather animation. Comes on everytime you unlock also.
The newest FancyWidget Pro is the closest thing I've found to replacing the HTC Clock Widget. FancyWidget Pro is awesome though! Super customizable and it can display the battery percentage right on the widget! I've switched to LPP and FW instead of mySense. Only thing LPP needs now is a News/RSS widget and it'll beat Sense hands down!
Got two simple questions... Does we androids have this kind of app?
The sleep effects would look nicer in my HTC EVO LOL, do we have that app? What the name?
Other question was does exist other effect like the APP 3D drawer from Launcher PRO?
Or something like this...
If this doesn't exit, does developer can make it happen?
Try adw launcher EX it has a few of those
I download an APP called Homescreen 3D and it has greats animations, but it lacks of an homescreen..
heya, just threw Android Revolution on yesterday (LOVING it!), and got all my apps back, had launcher pro plus running alongside Sense (but wasn't actually using Sense, and hadn't chosen a default as yet..), today for sh*ts and giggles I chose Sense for a compare, and now I cannot get back to Launcher!
any ideas? i have tried reinstalling launcher, no good. I have tried closing Sense process down, no good. It just restarts.
When im hitting the home button I'm not getting the option to choose Launcher Pro or Sense anymore.
Any ideas? Really want Launcher Pro back as its the shiz.
Don't know if the sense process is listed since I use cyanogen mod. Try menu, settings, manage apps, look for sense , select it, and clear data
Swyped from my Desire HD using Tapatalk
Go to applications look for HTC sense and do not clear data look for clear defualts that will lift the option of sense being defualt home app

You may try an apps called "Home Switcher" and switch it back to LauncherPro

hey,
I wanna ask if it was possible to have HTC sense with a custom, more customizable app drawer like all the other home replacement app's app drawer. Cause i really want a more customizable app drawer without losing my sense widgets.
I'm afraid it cannot be done without major modifying of the ROM, which isn't easy.
You can try All Apps organizer.
It helps you customize the output and manage your apps by type.
But with sense enabled you won't have many customization on their stock app drawer.
You could also use a home app that looks alike and highly customizable (LauncherPro, adw.Launcher or go launcher....)
yea i'm using go launcher now. but im missing my sense widgets. just too refined. all apps organiser is it an app drawer or just an application?
You can find fine widgets for everything out there
Take a look at All App Organize
But don't you have one with goLauncher? I'm using LauncherPro and you can customize it.
