Just got updated ClockworkMod 2.5.1.0 to 2.5.1.4
When I go to reboot in recovery my N1 is stuck on the nexus x

There's been a problem with it recently, apparently that does just this. Check Koush on Twitter for actual info.
Thanks for your answer.
Because of that I can not switch roms. Does anyone know another way to switch roms

Boot back into your phone and flash an older recovery. Just scroll in Clockwork Mod and choose amon RA or clockwork recovery 2.5.1.0.

Updated to 3.0.0.5. Looks purty.
I tried 3.0.0.5 and it still gets stuck on the nexus x. Had to go back to 2.5.1.1

Just updated to 3.0.0.5 from Rom Manager. No issues here

Will try it again

Just updated to 3.0.0.5 myself through Rom Manager (only thing I really use it for is flashing a new recovery, and knowing when they come out). Can't enter recovery, just bootloader, going to reflash it via fastboot (gotta grab it real quick).
Flashing 2.5.1.4 from RM works, but 3.0.0.5 did not. However, I was able to flash it via fastboot.
3.0.0.5 still does not work
Sent from my HTC Desire using XDA App
Had to flash Clockwork 3.0.0.5 two times from RM for it to work (got into bootloader the first time). Works like a charm now.
3.0.0.5 working fine so far...
Will give it one more try

I think for the newer version you gotta give it some time cuz it's its first boot.

3.0.0.5 Does not allow you to flash. Have to use 2.5.1.1

The bigger problem is 3.0.0.5 will let you flash a new ROM but you will be screwed if you have any apps to SD on EXT if you try and go back to a recovery! You will have to format your entire SD card, repartition and then restore a backup after panicking for a while! Ask me how I know...needless to say this longtime supporter of CW has jumper ship and is now using RA...

Did you change the name on your new restore point? This happened to me on an earlier cm recovery. RM automatically updated me to 3005 and now I'm having some reservations.
3.0.0.5 works fine for me for every rom

my epic is rooted with one click but im trying to install roms but cant.when i get to the recovery screen and try to flash it says..E:failed to verify whole-file signature..E:signature verification failed..im useing rom manager im i missing something
Did you have clock work mod, installed, and when you reboot with rom manager are you making sure you are holding power, volume down, and the camera buttons down until clockwork appears. Samsung stock restore is blue in color. Clockwork is green in color, well mine is at least. You want to make sure you are in clockwork and click CHOOSE zip from sd card. NOT install zip from sd

Thanks ill give it a try..thax for the qwick response
No problem, I had the same problem my self. I thought recovery was clockwork no one tips me clockwork was green instead of blue so I thought I was already in clockwork

It took me a while to realize that I had to find the downloaded rom in the download folder on the sd card when I first started.
Posted via XDA app on Epic Experience 1.2.03 ROM with Phoenix 1.45 kernel
it worked nicely..ya thought i was missing a step, got it now.....thanx again...
Yeah that's the step most people don't really point out. They just say reboot into clockwork

Hi guys, sorry if it is a stupid question, but am I okay to flash the stock recovery while I'm running cm7?
My battery life is horrible so I just want to try the work around that involves charging while the phone is off and we know cwm recovery doesn't work like that right now.
I would flash back to cwm 3 afterwards.

Here's a link to one of TrueBlue_Drew's =bazillion= answers to this question. His method allows you to have two versions of CW Recovery available via the Rom Manager. Since the Rom Manager does not support CW Recovery 3.x, that version is stored as "2.5.1.4". With CW 3, ROM Manager is used only for going back and forth between CW 2 and 3.
Hope this helps.

I've actually talked to TrueBlue and I came up with the idea of making the oemrecovery and renaming it, recovery-clockwork-2.5.1.1. He is supposed to be updating his guide here shortly but I just spoke with him regarding this last night.
Basically, download the oemrecovery, go to the clockwork folder on your sdcard and go clockworkmod>download>koush.tandgaming.com>recoveries. Drop the oemrecovery into that spot on the sdcard and rename it EXACTLY recovery-clockwork-2.5.1.1. Once that's done you can now go into rommanager scroll down to all clockworkmod recoveries and choose 2.5.1.1. That is now your stock recovery. you can reboot into the stock recovery, and keep the phone off to charge it. Once done, reboot the phone, go back to rommanager and click 2.5.1.4 and that will give you cwm3.xxx back. If this helps you, please hit the thanks button!
Thanks. Sorry for posting in the wrong section.
I'm aware I can flash back to 2.5.1.2, but for some reason I recall that this also went into recovery when charged. I'm probably wrong about that though .
amac, that sounds like a very elegant solution. I'll have too give that a shot.
I was really mostly concerned that not having 3.x would somehow affect the cm7 installation. But im guessing it should not and only affects ability to flash the rom.
Thanks again all. And for bearing with my ignorance!
Sent from my HTC Glacier using XDA App
Well i just checked, and 2.5.1.2 still turns on the phone when charging while powered off.
I've looked around but can't find it, is there a flashable stock recovery for the MT4G somewhere? I know there's an image posted here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=843289 but this one isn't flashable. But i guess i could still manage if there isn't one out there.
Thanks again everyone.
use the oemrecovery file found on page 118 of the cm6 thread. It was posted by phateless. Sorry I would link it but the xda app doesn't let you do that.

I am assuming this may be something simple to most but I can't figure it out.
In the rooted version of GB I just flat out can't get into CWR.
I have tried all different button combos at startup as well as the Reboot into recovery option in Rom Manager and just can't get there.
Suggestions?

I'm sorry...I just had to comment because this made me laugh. I'm assuming you meant 'pay' but just the mere thought of having to party for an app made me chuckle. I'll party for apps all day lol.

I found out that if you turn off debugging on the phone the DX Bootstrap will work fine.
Phone Hangs on Motorola Logo
Hi folks,
I flashed a ROM through ROM Manager and told it to back up, wipe, etc... it went through all the steps... backed up the old ROM... installed the new one..
Now it hangs on Boot at the Motorola Logo. Won't go any further and the phone will not boot back into Clockwork Recovery. All that happens is the default Blue recovery panel comes up and only lets me select to flash update.zip.
This of course does not work and installation aborts.
Any ideas here?
Thanks,
Chris

When you get into stock recovery, perform a factory reset/wipe multiple times. It works the same as Clockwork on this aspect.
I have the same problem. Ron manager never got me into cwm. I can use bootstrap to get into cwm but it will only allow me to use the volume buttons. When I use the power button it will appear to work but all that happens is the screen flashes. I have Uninstalled Rom manager but I think I have to delete the cwm file for it to actually function. Anyone have some ideas.
I yried o get feedback about this in the q&a but got nothing. I'm running decks evo gingerbread deck 1.2.1 coupled with tiamat. Applications force close at random and all attempted downloads aside from market are all unsuccessful. Nothing works for me. Tried changing kernels, reflashing rom, factory resets, fix permissions,.... still nothing works. Does anyobe kbow how I can solve this problem?

Download newest ROM and kernel, put on SD card. Hope you are using Amon Ra. Wipe cache, dalvik, system, boot, data, Android.secure, sdext, everything except for SD card - twice.
Flash ROM then kernel. Reboot. Do fresh installs of apps.
Did you restore apps with Titanium Backup?
Sent from my PC36100 using xda premium
No I use clockwork mod recovery and I fresh install my apps. I see no point in using titanium backup when I don't do a whole lot with them. And this is the final version of 2.3.4 for this rom and the 2.3.5 beta isn't working well with my phone. It disables my 3g and doesn't allow me to download even from the market

Like tropicalbrit said: Try Amon-Ra and do the wipe with it and see how it works. I get better results always with that recovery, that is why I use it instead of Clockwork.
How do I permanently install amon ra? I can flash it through rom manager but it always boots me into clockwork mod even though it says its successful
Sent from my PC36100 using xda premium
Follow this page, is for Amon-Ra recovery. It will show you how to install it in your card so you can run it on the phone.

Sorry can post link as being new member, but if google Amon RA recovery evo it will point you in the right direction.
Link is in my sig too. Use the PC36IMG.zip method

Ok amon ra successful but it only fixed force close.any idea how to fix the DL problem? It will allow me to DL from xda and the market but from no other site or using any other means. It wont even allow it through tethering when on the pc

Ok so today I was bored at work and decided to play with a few eons and download diff ROM managers from the market . things like that. Well after doing so I can't get my phone to boot into recovery. When I select boot into recovery it just boots back into the screen that gives me option to boot into recovery ,clear storage ect.
I cleared my storage after many attemps hoping it would fix the problem but didn't.
What do I need to do to get my phone to go into recovery? Thanks

Have you tried reflashing your recovery? I have Amon Ra 2.3 available here. You can also find different versions of CWM and other recoveries at this great site: http://goo-inside.me/supersonic.
Be sure the file is named PC36IMG.zip (don't add the zip extension) and on the root of your SD card. The first link to Amon Ra is already named correctly. Boot into hboot (volume down + power) and let it find the file. Update when it asks, don't reboot, then try booting into recovery.
Should fix your problem.

You really shouldn't be using ROM Managers for flashing ROMS anyhow.
Is fast boot enabled?

You get more control over your flashes and ensure that everything is wiped that you want wiped.
If you don't know how to flash manually then you get lazy and don't learn anything, then when you get yourself in a jam like this you don't know how to get out of it.
I feel like if I can do something by hand then I can do it better than the app can. There's less room for error if you know what you're doing and more room for troubleshooting.

I know how to flash manually. Just easier to go through rom manager I guess was my thought behind it.
