April Fools day much?
you bastard! lol dont ever scare me like that again!
I guess I'm naive as f***!.... I didn't see where it hinted as AprFools joke... is the site itself a hoax site like the Onion?
That's a good one LOL
either the folks at gizmodo are a bunch of clever assholes or this guy is telling the truth

Oh I hope that second link is a hoax as well.
My dislike for Apple is growing to a point where I might actually do something about it.

I don't think the second link is a hoax - read the article.
It says the suit is going forward, no shocker there, and that a ban COULD happen if HTC is found to be violating the patents.
It really doesn't do anything but undermine the original article posted which states the ban is in effect. This thing is going to take a while to flush out - and it's something a court would have to order....the first link is either a hoax or entirely inaccurate.
I hope google decides to weigh in on this by updating iPhone/iPad variants of their products to no longer work..
Of course that would never happen. Google isn't evil
ITs fake. Nice joke...I'm sure Engadget would have picked it up also.

My Google search notifications sent this to me last night. I nearly raged. The worst part is that there's no way to tell Christopher Hudson that he's a moron. HE WROTE THE ARTICLE ON THE *CAPTIVATE* UPDATE BEING PULLED. Just, wow...
lol troll win
That site is stupid, you can't comment on the articles. It also looks like they don't do much thinking with posting based on a few of the articles I've read, and just post the raw data without stopping to analyze it.
NICE!!

yup
its old news if you look at the source article from the original OP article
OP - How about doing research next time before starting a new useless thread? This has already been posted here, in a different thread, and is yesterdays news... 'Search' goes a long way.... oh wait, you must be one of the ones who dont read forum rules huh? Makes sense now..
people are always so quick to ***** at others for making a new thread, why don't you just not go in it if you already heard the news..

Please mods, remove this useless thread... :S
People ***** because the forum rules CLEARLY state to USE SEARCH before posting.... OP obviously DID NOT. Dont preach unless you know what it is your preaching about.

Wow. I know reposts are annoying to a lot of people, but I tend to not be so uptight because one or two reposts every few days on an important subject which sometimes cite different source material doesn't seem so bad. And besides, it may actually be the first time some other guy is seeing it.
But why do I have to go through pages of comments which are all belittling the OP? You sir, did not need to post, as the guy right above you had already mentioned this is old news - why do we need this done more than once? If you don't like reposts, move on, there's no reason we should have pages of useless hypocritical comments in a thread which someone else might find to be useful if not for all the trash.
Also, have you ever tried to search for a URL to see if it's already been posted?
Try it for yourself:
http://phandroid.com/2011/06/13/mot...r-bootloader-policy-and-image-in-the-process/
It doesn't work that well.

why would you search for that link instead of a thread on that topic? there is a handy 'search this forum' button. just type in "unlock bootloader" and see how much pops up. You'll even find the main thread with the petition that lead to this, and the same news is in that thread.
If no threads have a link to this same news article, it is not a repost. People enjoy different perspectives on the same topics.

it's the same damn information. find the thread where people are already talking about it, and provide them with the new link. all the links say the same thing though. absolutely no need for a new thread for each link.
Wow at forum mentality. I understand people like organization, but some people are a little over the top.

I guess everyone is just a little groggy and annoyed that we keep hearing about an unlocked boot loader or news of a boot loader and boot loaders with HTC and all those great news for phones other than the ATRIX.
Our phone is suppose to be a flagship, but it feels like we're playing second fiddle to other phones because of the limitations of the boot loader.
Let's just keep our cool and be patient. If all else fails... We will start a mass riot.... on the internet of course =] DDOS AND ALL THAT FUN STUFF.

Everyone is brave with words on here huh? You're a big man because you can shoot someone down with words huh? I bet if you said what you said to the guy who started this thread in person, he would take you down a notch. Don't try to be Billy Bada$$ on here with your words. Be a man and speak your opinion in a polite manner. I would have never thought to talk to someone like that because they started a simple little repeat thread.

Hehe, this kind of makes me laugh. Why? Here, lemme 'splain:
This is the Interenet. It has Forums. In every single one of those forums, people post the same things, over and over. Repeatedly. In ever single one of those forums, there are forum rules. In every single one of those forums, those rules get ignored. In every single one of those forums, someone posts about how there are rules and that idiot n00bs should use the search function.
What's the point of all this? That it doesn't matter. To borrow a quote, "This has all happened before, and it will happen again." The ass pointing out to the n00b to use the search function doesn't need you to tell him he's being an ass any more than I need to tell you that it's pointless. And even if THAT n00b starts to use the search function, some OTHER n00b will be along shortly posting the same thing. This is how the internet works. And until ALL anonymity goes away, that's just how it's going to be. Seriously, don't get worked up over it. Just realize to yourself that there's another repeat post that's going to be criticized and move along to the next post. Or answer the n00bs question (as I find treating the n00bs question as if it's the first one ever REALLY annoys those that get worked up over them )
Have anyone seen how Gizmodo "promotes" Note? :
Some frustrated iPhone owner...? How unprofessional..
As others cleared out what the purpose of Gizmodo article (about how GNote users are naive and stupid) is, I decided to remove the link. Sorry for the fuss...
Linkbait. Don't click and don't feed the trolls. Applies for Gizmodo in general though.

and why is that...?
What a waste of bandwidth this article is.
edit out the link.. they just want clicks to draw 5miljon note users to their site.
the more ppl that goes into their site = more money.
but a very strange "open letter" - article.
But i guess you cant stop ppl from not getting the idea of the note.
for me, the article writer is just pure and plainly flame baiting....
why? maybe to attract more readers (and flame baiters) to go their side...
it's just really a waste of time (on my part), contributing to such inane and preposterous remarks on the part of the writer...
I'd rather just go on with my day and use my Note as what I would like it to be...
Different strokes for different folks...
Yawns...

Who cares about this wanna-be-fancy site anyway ? Remember, that's Gizmodo - they publish articles like "5 Reasons why the iPhone sucks" etc.
I don't care if the iPhone actually sucks or not - but that's not how you run a tech-news site...
