you can copy paste vending.apk file from European rom to arab rom with root explorer (rooted phone) to system/app folder
and i think jpjpg is very stable with voodoo lagfix

Hi shirhh. What I did was flashed to JPJPA first with pit and re-partition check (I got three files on JPJPA).Then on the phone dialer type *#272*your imei# and change the suitable csc (maybe can try XSG if I'm not wrong). The vending.apk is there, because you are from european rom so the csc was check wrongly and hidden. Do not install anything yet because this method will do hard reset on your phone. Then flash to JPJPG without pit and re-partition if its contain one file only.
Its work for me, hopefully its works for you too. Good luck

I'm wanna to change to JPJPJ and I got to the part when I need change the suitable csc to XSG and I don't have such an option, if it's care my phone is i9000T.
arabic on darky's rom
I'm guessing you want to go to the arabic rom for the use of the arabic language, am I correct, if so why not just flash darky's custom rom version 9.2 that with a darky add on has full arabic support her is the link if you want to try, I would highly recomend it:

If you can get into that part, maybe you can try to check any other than the current one. Just try an error.

Help debranding i5800

Hello am very new to android. Have just got a I5800 that was originally on t mobile. Its unlocked now but i want to flash a generic official rom. I know how to root it if needs be. Could someone advise me on how to go about the debranding.
Thanks in advance

Go to samfirmware.com there you'll find roms (official). Search here in the forum for a flashing guide...
ok i have just found the flashing guide.
i forgot to ask about the CSC. i have a diffrent windows mobile samsung (omnia lite b7300) and when i flashed this for the first time i never knew about the CSC.
my question is this. i assume flashing one package will also flash the CSC, and on the winmo omnia lite the CSC had details of the operators that the data settings are automatically recognised for.
is this the same for android devices and if so does anyone have a UK English CSC for the i5800 or is there any way i can back it up and reflash or am i just worrying about nothing
thanks for your help
Well if you're asking that if you flash one package, it will also flash the csc? Probable and if you want a csc for i5800 just download jpf.
yeah looks like JPF has a english CSC.. hope it has provider settings for the uk lol.
am gonna go try flash when the firmwares downloaded hopefully il be ok.
thanks everyone for your fast replys
anyone got any english i5800 roms with CSC included before i smash it out of frustration. loved this phone before this
found the language option but i still need a english uk default rom or csc because of service proivider settings and when i hard reset
Well download a rom from here and flash and you should be on froyo in the u.k and if not try finding an XW rom

found one jus called JPM...strange thing is its already rooted. not sure i shoud be concerned or not...oh well it works and i have somthing to fall back on when i try other roms
thanks people
just found that you can change the CSC and product code same way you do with another phone (the SGS i think)
*#272*imei#
where imei is your imei
also hard resets, but on reboot it asked me if i was o2 prepay postpay or tesco mobile.
PERFECT!
off to see wat KIES says.
EDIT :
This device cannot be updated
PDA:JPM / PHONE : JP4 / CSC : JPF (XEU)
Not that that matters i have the right csc

[Q] Defy+ acting strange after flashing with defy bl7 root

Dear all,
today I finally found time to flash my Defy+ with using this Thread. This was my first flashing, but I done all the reading and I think it went as it should.
Now my Defy is acting strange:
Now I have poor signal
Now I often lose signal in areas where it was very strong before (at home)
In calls incoming voice is breaking, thus they hear me clearly
Although I wiped data and cache when Defy+ booted for the first time I got my old wall paper back and some Icons were in the same place as before flashing.
Thanks in advance and please help, if you know what went wrong.

Did you try switching baseband? If not, try it.

No I haven't. Should I use this one?
Hi there, in the mean time I've installed and Baseband Switcher v4.1. I have selected EMEA/Central Europe Hong Kong, Taiwan, Arabia, France, Nordic 3.5.x United Kingdom 4.5.1-85.
I assume this should be OK for me as I come from Slovenia.

If that baseband works fine without problems, nothing more to be done.

Problem i guess

Hi guys,
I think i got a little problem but i dont know for sure. No matter what rom i install on my phone the smallband version always stayed at i9001xxxkpk. A friend of mine has the same phone and his smallband version changes when he installs a new rom.
Is this wrong or is the smallband version always the same for the provider you got etc?
Thanks is advance

wrong forum, it's a general topic, i think.
to change the baseband flash a stock rom with odin.
after that flash feamod recovery and then you can use every custom rom.
Sorry for the wrong forum.
I flashed mutliple times a new stock rom. But is it wrong to stay at this smallband version or doesnt matter what smallband version?

it's your choice, it doesn't matter. most people prefer a baseband of the released stock rom in their continent.
here you can find information's about the official rom releases: Galaxy S Plus Wiki
Very strange that do´nt change with a stock rom I´ll try to ask my friends about it

[Q] wrong country stock rom

Probably a stupid question but ive searched and i cant find the answer so please help....
If i want to go back to stock and install 4.3 from this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2252982 what relevance does the country make.
The latest one at present says its german and i want to use it for a uk phone, will this make any difference at all, and if it doesnt why does it specify the country?
Thanks in advance for any help

I've used Australia firmware and tried using it in NZ, Data roaming did not work I think I had other comp ability issues as well but this was on a S2. If you change firmware to a different country it may void warranty but I'm not 100% sure on this because its still stock... Personally I wouldn't go back to 4.3 have you seen all the issues on this forums? lol
