What do you mean exactly? Like different text and ringtones sounds for individual contacts? If so I believe gosms has some options for that.

You can set up groups from your Google account online. Don't know if you can do it from the phone...

Go into the application -> Menu -> Notification ringtone -> Silent
Then you shouldn't get sound when you get a notification.
I am on Android Revolution HD 3.3 amt and the Facebook Push Notification are not working for me, too.
Is it working for anyone?
Im also on droid Revolution HD 3.3 and the Facebook push works for me.
Are you syncing your contacts with FB for HTCSense or with the native FB app?

I must admit the Facebook app is weird. For weeks the push notifications didn't work but after I rooted my DHD is started working. Very strange
Sorry I wrongly spelled it. I don't get a sound notification when I get messages frown friends. I have enabled everything under settings but still not getting sound notifications

I'm not rooted yet but I've been having issues with my Mytouch deleting all my text messages every week. I was originally using handcent then went over to using GoSmspro and I'm still getting the same issue; even after fling a master reset and swapping to a newer Mytouch. I can't inside what the problem could be. Insight?

In the stock messaging app... not Gosms pro hit menu button setting uncheck delete after 200 message or so.

Hmm... i don't have that problems try check the box and raise txt masseage and MMS... if that don't work root it put another rom on their like royalglacier or orange glacier its stock but no bloatware

There is potential for the messages database to become corrupted and all stored messages disappear, however this is a bug in the android os itself and is not for specific phones

I saw on the new sidekick the messaging app lets you message a group then when someone replies everyone gets the reply. Does anyone know where I can get that apk or a similar app to that? Thanks in advance......

Switched to Handcent And fixed the mms problem.

It was a tough choice but I had to go stock because both had problems of there own but if I had to pick again it would be go sms for their interface design

I like Handcent for the customization factor and easy to use UI
I used to love handcent. But it was laggy to me... Just wasn't fluid. Tried out go sms and loved it. Sleeker look and much faster IMO. Not as customizable as handcent, but I'd say its 80% there. I love it!
