Hello I have kind of a n00b question. I currently had a galaxy tab running a kernal that was made for the JJ family, (rotos). If I want to flash a JMI rom do I flash it first then flash the kernal for the JM* family?
Wrong section. However you would have to flash the kernel first. That's what I did with Modaco.

Hi
I really need a stable gingerbread rom to flash for my samsung galaxy S that hasnt been modded in anyway and can a guide be posted with it? btw currently running DTJP5 2.2 Optus Stock
Thanks in advance
Daniel
There is plenty of information out there if you do a very brief look/search and out of respect to the forum by reading the faq's
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JmvCpR45LKA&feature=youtube_gdata_player
Insanity cm017/glitch v10c
the most stable rom is probably official stock rom from Samsung with no modifications.
check this thread for untouched stock roms that can be flashed using odin
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1011901
or deodexed stock roms also flashed using odin or cwm
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=948790
flash the deodexed roms if you want to apply other modifications easily using cwm
I have installed the rom from this link and works great.
[ROM][JB4.2.2] Galaxy S4 Google Edition v5 [14/07][I9505GUEUAMFD]
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2340783&highlight=firmware&page=81
But the phone does feel a little slower then before (this is my first custom rom & first time on android from iphone!)
I have seen people mention 'Faux v7 kernal'? Installing that to make the i9505 faster with this rom... Where can I get this kernal and do I just flash it on the same as I installed the rom?
Thankou

Read up a little on it before you flash but the procedure is:
Flash in recovery, wipe cache/dalvik and reboot
For Google edition roms use the Touchwiz version

Hello, and thank you for using XDA Assist!
I see with flashing the regular custom ROM onto the Duos everything will work but the radio, but I don't know if the case is the same with the kernel as well. I wouldn't be surprised.

I can't understand your concerns about flashing since you've already flashed a custom rom. Of course you can, but be sure to read the OP of every rom you gonna flash. Usually you need to clear cache etc etc before flashing.
Hello, is there a Custom Kernel for our S4 Stock ROM/rooted? Im targeting Kernel best for Gaming/Performance
I don't have an s4 at the moment but kernels can be found under the kernel tab of the development forum.
Here's a link for the gt-i9505 as an example: https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s4/i9505-develop#kernels
