Well Cyanogen Stated On His Twitter That It Should Be Released By Tuesday.
Does Anyone Know If It Was Still Going To Be Released On Galaxy S Phones?
I Remember The Thread From A Couple Days Ago But I Don't Remember If It Was Official?
that does not apply to the Vibrant (to my knowledge). It is going to be a little longer for us.... plus this is a RC.....
My guess would be no.
From what I understand it's been postponed. Apparently Samsung devices are a nightmare to work on, they still do not have the source code for the kernal, and other lofty matters I wont pretend to understand.
They are shooting for 6.1 rc (release canidate), not final. So no, probably not yet. I dont think they even have it booting.

Yes there was, but nothing has came from it at the vibrant level as is yet
we will never see CM6 for the Vibrant, at least this year..

Cm6 is booting on the epic and wes garner said it will make it for 6.1 release.

Roger's is a Canadian Cell Company. Besides, that Samsung Captivate is the SGH-I896 not the "US" version which is, SGH-I897...

Not to be an ass but we already had thread like this in general. It doesn't have anything to do with vibrant as they received their froyo while back. And we received our froyo like a week ago..

Well receiving the official rom and the source are two different things. You can do much more with the source like making kernels that are much more stable and fast and build better roms.

Rogers got the ROM around January 6...source about a month after...they will probably follow suit with the vibrant also. A few more weeks minimum...

Guess what everyone. If you look on Twitter, you'll see that Eugene got his hands on T959 Vibrant SOURCE. Yes, for OUR phones... no "D" on the end. I would say we can expect good things to come very soon.

I just peeped that.....I can't wait
I see he just released an update for his kernel that's built from source. He won't say how he got source though, and no one else has it.
I'm about to try out the kernel though, so we'll see how big this really is.

just like with froyo...took us months to get froyo for the vibrant after the i9000 got it so this means nothing for the vibrant
if im reading that correctly that does meant that we will eventually be getting gingerbread but if im not mistaken the release coming next week is supposed to be for international sgs phones.
I thought the vibrant was a US only variant? Also you would think we would have seen leaked builds by now from krylon.

I thought Krylon jumped ship a while back. Isn't he now doing a lot for the Nexus S. I assume he will still realease stuff for the Vibrant just not as often.

I'm not holding my breath nor do I really care anymore. I am super content with 2.2.1 simply honey even though its not meant for our phones.
I tried installing kies again and updated it tio the version required but I can't get kies tio recognize my phone. Kies 2.0 doesn't support my phone.
Is been much time since I don't use kies, but I remember having troubles with it, I think the only time I got it to work was with kies mini..
Using bionix 1.3.1 now, tried also installing stock jfd ecclaire

We got froyo 6 months after i9000, so if people are looking for a official GB, go look inside a toilet.
If you want a beta.... there MAY BE one.
but then again we already have 2 GB roms, and i'm pretty sure their the same.
Who gives a damn about official roms, im just happy this got out so our great developers will have something more solid and close for GB to our device than they do now.

I was referring to how it is unofficial at the moment. Its a leak and hasn't been officially released yet. Remember when the froyo leaks for the epic came out? It took a long time for sprint to roll out that update (since the leak). Just saying..not disagreeing
Yet the leak comes out for Motorola before HTC's own products; ex: Evo. Lol weird.

The samsung site has the GB posted on it and you can download from there. So, not sure why you would want the Vodaphone version....but then... that's just me

Its good edt is working on gingerbread but last time I tried it, the rom was no where near polished. Can a determined nerd convince himself that all the random rainbow flash, and broken video and 3D support is worth it just to have the lastest? Of course, I did just that. But truth to be told, its not a dd yet. Bi Winning on the other hand is what a polished rom should feel like, and I know its an edt release.
