Hi,
RotoJMEv4 on SGH-i987 (AT&T GTAB)
I prefer samsung keyboard over swype. I'd prefer to hear normal keypad tones while using the dialer's key pad. I can get dialer keypad to use a 'drip' tone while pressing a key using the switch: Settings->Sound settings->Audible touch tones. This also turns on a small 'pop' or 'dock' sound while typing on the keyboard (i.e. keyboard clicks). How can I turn off the keyboard sound, but leave the keypad sound on? And/Or, where can I select the sound (file) for the keyboard and keypad (separately)?
FWIW: When I switch to swype, dialer keypad sounds, but no keyboard sounds/clicks: but keyboard sounds/clickes + samsung keyboard, is better than swype with no sounds.

Is it possible to disable all keyboard keys in dialer except 1234567890*-+# in landscape mode for phones with hardware keyboard?
I know there are apps or tweaks to make the phone vibrate when you touch the screen and for the dialpad but is there an app to make the phone vibrate only when using the on-screen keyboard while texting? just like the dialpad tweak but for texting only? so I can have the dialpad vibrate and the keyboard keys for the on-screen keyboard vibrate while texting and in any profile (loud, vibrate, silent ect...)
yes, i also would like to have a vibration or even a sound feedback, but just when typing. Anyone has a idea ?

Is it possible to only have the keyboard make a clicking sound or quick vibrate.
I don't want any other actions to make sounds.
I have noticed that using the touch keyboard it sometimes does not pick up key presses. Would be good to have it make a small sound when a keypress is detected.
Interesting enough have enabled screen sounds and the keyboard seems quicker to respond and no longer suffers issues with dropped keypresses.
YES
YES its possible,
1. deactivate "vibrate" in Settingsmenu >> TOUCHFLO ,
2. install app " TouchResponse" .. just search it here in the forum
3. activate option "vibrate on keyboard only"
have fun..
Has anyone figured out how to disable tones for on screen keyboard typing? If I disable Audible Touch Tones under Sound Settings it also disables my dialer tones which I like (especially while driving). The tones get annoying while using onscreen keyboard. i.e. texting short message while wife is sleeping = anger and kick to my shin.
Im on stock Ec05 and while looking at the keyboard setting i found an (kinda) interesting setting. Go to Setting>Locale and Text. Select the default keyboard to Samsung, then go to Samsung keypad settings, select Portrait keypad types, select Handwriting box 1 or 2. Now instead of having a keyboard to type with, you could just write the word out with your finger and it will recognize it. Thought I'd share.
I think the T9 keyboard app has this feature as well. I tried it, and it works, but it is definitely slower than just tapping on the keys.
