Hi,
Check the line "... If you go for a drive..." (+/- middle of the page).
I would like to be able (using CM7) to receive incoming calls like this while navigating.
What gives this possibility? Sense (when I was using Sense, it wasn't working)? The navigation soft? A modded apk?
Thank you for your answer.

Thats a little problem. You Need HTC Laputa! (Locations)
Here are the files.
I think you need to place them in the system app folder if they work on Gingerbread.
Then you need to have an account I think. Thats about 5 euro a month.
Good luck!
Thank you for that but why pay when it seems to be a stock free app on the link I posted?
unable to install it over rooted stock foryo in desire....

You need to flash it. Or use through fastboot.
They need to be in systemapp folder.

Ho, that's HTC Navi...
I thought being able to recieve a phone call while navigating (no matter what navigation software is used) was a Sense capability.

Hi,
Attached is the flashlight application from the Official HTC Sense 2.2 Froyo Rom, extracted out via the rom itself..
Tested to be working on root/non-rooted rom HTC Android 2.1 Eclair too.. there are 3 types of brightness you can choose from this application to use your camera flash as torchlight.
Enjoy~!

INSTALLATION STEPS:
u can copy these files you downloaded and save it to your HTC desire sd card.
once saved, you can install file manager like eg: astro, andexplorer, estrong from the android market. open the file manager look thru your sdcard for these files, and click on install? =)
Tnx wish htc had made this into a widget instead, still using led light though

Hi there,
It works fine on my htc Desire Orange branded, no rooted.
The light looks like some 20/50/90 Lumens 10$ Chiness LED Torches.
Thank you for this great little app !
Regards.
Apparently its customizable, but I can't figure out how. Anyone else tried it and managed to change the dock shortcuts?

No. It's launcher2 from the G2 system dump.
This screenshot should show it a bit more; no home app has screen previews like Launcher2.

Hi there!
I just noticed that we got some new widgets.
We got note (which I was waiting for), quick record (one button record that works good and after recording gives you a notification) and today in history (wow, it's quite good and I loved it also gives information about event). And they are better than tip calculator and dice.
May the widgets be with you
Finally!
Notes!!!
And... The new Market version got a widget too?
But what does it do?
Yep, just got my Wildfire and was thinking of a note widget. Thanks for the heads up !

Hello, i downloaded the "tip calculator" and when i went to see the permissions of the app it says that it have access to the following on the phone:
Your personal information.
Services that cost you money.(directly call phone numbers, send SMS messages)
Your messages.
Your location.
Network communication.
Your accounts.
Storage.
Phone calls.
Hardware controls. (record audio)
System tools.
Should i worry? xD
Nope, You can trust everything that comes from HTC/Google
Is it possible to have for example the Swype keyboard while having the phone in the normal position and then having it switch to another keyboard while in landscape ??

Actually, there was an article on XDA's home page about a member who created an app that does just that. You'll have to search though.
I use Smart Keyboard Pro. Works great for me.
On a related note, you know how when you switch to landscape the keyboard basically uses the whole screen (as in you only see the type to compose line and the keyboard itself)..well, is there a way to change or modify that so at least ill be able too see something over the type to compose screen?
Its really sucky when im on the msn app or sms app and i have to hide the keyboard ib order to see what was last sent to me

This is a mod how to enable navigation bar(on screen
buttons) , its very simple and easy...
Warring: if you mess something dont blame me.
Add the following line at the end of buid.prop file
qemu.hw.mainkeys=0
now on reboot we will have nav-bar like on nexus 4
To turn off capacitive buttons:
Go to system/use/key layout/ synaptics-rmi-touchscreen.kl
Long press it and click open with text editor
Delete everything there
Reboot.
To turn of capacitive button lights:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.deskangel.kblight
Or
This will mess your screen brightness and it will stay on 100% all the time. You have to use screen filter app from play store or some other app to control the brightness of your screen.
Go to system/lib/hw
There find lights.msm8960.so
Rename it to (whatever you want)
Reboot.

To turn off the lights you can just edit framework-res.apk.
Don't copy other peoples posts

This is only applicable to AOSP/CM ROMs this won't work on sense based ROMs.

Here you go, if your rooted, extract this and put it in etc/init.d to turn off your lights on boot.
Or, just execute it with root explorer.

Does work, been using it. On sense. If you are using a custom kernel with bln then that could be why. Make sure you set permissions though!

Unfortunately i cant get the navigation bar to work?!?
Or can it only be done on CM Roms?
Im on Google Play Edition 4.3, did the total conversion as i want to stay on Stock GPE.

*Bump* this is of interest to me
I only managed to get a nav bar by using PA, fiddling with build.prop never gave me a nav bar GPE or anything else.

I think I read on the s4 forums that they also can't get this going with stock based roms (touchwizz and gpe), something about the lines of code for this to happen being removed or not there.
From personal experience, I could only get the navbar on pa. Another person on a thread enabled it on a cm based ROM.
So in the end, yes, it seems the only way to get the nab bar working is a cm based ROM. Its a pity cause that means we'll be giving up:
* good speakers - missing beats audio
* ir blaster and fantastic TV app.
* blink feed
* slightly better camera optimizations
Anyone able to recommend a cm based ROM ? Or at least alternative apps for the problems above?

Nope....doesn't work on Sense-based or GPE. Tried it like........I lost count. I kinda savvy it too. However, even on a Touchwiz I can't produce it. So probaly it only works on CM or CM based roms.
