[Q] Multiple Bluetooth Devices Simultaneously? - Fascinate General

Does anyone know if the fascinate can connect to two bluetooth devices at once? There are threads on the droid x and incredible being able to do this but i can't seem to find one on the fascinate. I looking to connect the Parrot Minikit slim speakerphone and the griffin bluetrip aux.

I'm running the stock ROM if that helps.

Yes. Well my Showcase (same thing) does anyways. I use an OBDII connector for Torque while I'm hooked up to my Pioneer head unit. Works flawlessly, no lag on either.

Bluetooth Range

Anyone else having issues with bluetooth devices on the atrix? I use a Liquidaux bluetooth adapter in my car with the Atrix docked in the car dock mounted to the windshield. It plays for a few minutes then the sounds starts cutting out, if I pull the phone out of the dock and move it to within a few inches of the adaptor it clears up. If I dissconect and pe pair, it fixes it for a few minutes then starts cutting out again. I tested with a pair of southwing headphones to see what kind of range i could get and was only able to get around 5 feet.
I have had bluetooth cut out a few times in my car. Music keeps playing with no working audio then a few minutes later it disconnects
My jawbone headset goes as far at 100 ft or more

The Bluetooth on the Atrix seems to be very on demand as compared to other devices. We have an HTC EVO and an HTC Aria in the household as well and they both stay connected to our Benz, but the Atrix seems only to connect when I'm about to make a call (which is all it's used for).

Completely agree with this. Whenever I turn on my bluetooth headset, it does NOT automatically connect to the Atrix. I have to manually connect every single time (Wireless Networks > Bluetooth Settings > Click Headset to Connect)/ Is there anyway to fix this?
Does anyone know if the Atrix BT is compatible with any BT keyboard, or only the one that comes with the Media Dock? I was thinking it would be convenient to use the Atrix with a Generic BT Keyboard and Mouse (which I already have), and not pay extra to get a Media Dock. (I realize I could use the Media Dock and plug in a USB BT adapter to use something like the Logitech BT Keyboard/Mouse set.)
I also wonder if the Moto Keyboard has decent keying? I have found it harder and harder to find ANY BT keyboards with decent keys lately. I really dislike the chicklet keyboards. Unpleasent to type on!
Thanks in advance.

Avrcp issues

I can't seem to get track,play/pause functions to work in my car stereo with the atrix. Any one have any similar experience or a fix?

Hi gdj80,
My Atrix works fine with my car stereo. I'll admit that BT A2DP, AVRCP, etc, are hit and miss with most phones. My car stereo, a Jensen VM9424 works all the way with my iPhone 4, 3G, 3GS, and Nokias and my Atrix (A2DP, AVRCP work fine).
It connects and reconnects correctly on a daily basis. I never use audio from BT as I have an iPod connected but when I do it sounds OK and works OK. The Atrix is not an Apple device but it's good enough music wise.
You may want to contact your car stereo vendor and see about an update. If your stereo is using Parrot BT set, then your vendor may have an update from Parrot. If not then they still may have an update that might address your issue.
I don't think it's the phone as I said my Atrix works great with my stereo.

Wireless headset with the nexus 7?

So I'm looking at 2 wireless headsets to use with my tablet. No clue if it's even possible, but that's why I'm asking you guys.
The first link is to the official ps3 wireless over the ear headset.
http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0053OLY9O
Second link is to the Sony 900mhz over the ear wireless headset.
http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0001YFZ2I
Blue tooth isn't supported on either one. The Ps3 set has a mic and is strictly usb
The Sony set has no mic and uses a stereo jack.

The PS3 one would probably need specific drivers and the USB transmitter would need to be plugged into an OTG cable attached to the tablet. Specific drivers probably rule that one out. The Sony one that has a stereo plug would work if you used a Bluetooth Stereo adapter http://www.amazon.com/Jabra-CLIPPER-Bluetooth-Stereo-Headset/dp/B0040X33SE/ref=pd_cp_cps_1 Samsung, Sony, Motorola, etc make similar devices. You wear the bluetooth adapter and plug your headphones into the adapter. I use a Motorola Soundpilot and Bose headset they work quite well within the limitations of BT for music and games.
I got this last week. So far so good.

@jibaro009
Have you used / tried the microphone for VOIP voice calls Vonage, Google Voice etc??
I think I'm getting these. Plus can use with ps3, etchttp://www.gamestop.com/accessories/universal-afterglow-wireless-headset/103048

[Q] Two Bluetooth in Car (One Apt-X)

Hello All,
Galaxy S4 user x1 month and I absolutely love it!
I'm installing an aftermarket stereo head unit in my car, with bluetooth (Kenwood KDC-X896). I chose this head unit for the reviews and sirius-xm and a few other options available on it. http://www.kenwoodusa.com/Car_Entertainment/2012_Car_Entertainment/KDC-X896
Along with the install of the head unit, I am installing a Rocketfish Bluetooth Receiver with apt-X capability. The reason I'm installing the Rocketfish Bluetooth is to make use of the apt-X on the Samsung Galaxy S4. http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Rocketf...11138&ref=39&loc=01&CJPID=6149808#tab=reviews
The plan is to pair my phone with the Rocketfish play my music collection off my Samsung Galaxy S4 through the bluetooth Rocketfish (using apt-X) which is power-sourced to the car battery (switched) and plugged into the Kenwood head unit's AUX plug. This should provide brilliant sound from my phone through the car speakers.
QUESTIONS
1. Since the Kenwood head unit has bluetooth functionality as well, do you foresee any interference or issues with music playing through my phone?
2. Is it possible to pair the phone to the Kenwood head unit (to use phone via car speakers) IN ADDITION TO the Rocketfish (for music)?
3. If number 2 doesn't work, is it possible to go through the Rocketfish for audio and then switch to bluetooth on the Kenwood head unit for incoming calls?
Thanks for any help you can offer!
I guess it depends on the profiles offered by the Kenwood. My setup is to connect to the BMW inbuilt Bluetooth hands free, connect to an aptX Samsung receiver with a headphones out port plugged into the aux port of the car audio. When I get a call, it switches to the hands free automatically

Check out an app called sound about. You can choose what device different audio uses. For example you have media to be played through head unit and phone calls through you're other bluetooth device

Thank You and Clarification

Hi, thanks so much for a fast response! It sounds like what you're doing with your BMW is similar to what I'm wondering if my new setup can do.
A few questions:
1. The headphones out port you refer to - is this from the aptX Samsung receiver to the aux on your car audio head unit? (That's what I'm hoping to do with my Rockefish device). (Or are you referring to your headphones out port from your phone to the aux on your car audio?)
2. What kind of aptX Samsung receiver do you have in your car? (Can you post a link?) Is it similar to the Rocketfish?
3. Are you using specific apps on you phone to help in this situation, or is it as easy as it sounds?
Thanks again!

1. The former. Headphones out port from the apt x receiver to the head unit. The phone has nothing physically attached
2. HS3000. Google brings up loads of results for it.
3. No specific apps. Just regular bluetooth, with Play Music running .

Head unit BT coonection to Anker speaker???

I have invested in an Android 10 Double din headunit and I simply want to connect my BT speaker to it's BT output. I have paired my phone no problem. Then I scan for other devices and it finds my Anker speaker and TV.
I press "pair" and it says "connecting" for a split second then goes blank so it is not going to connect using that method. I only have the "phone" section to add BT devices unless there is some other menu I don't know about.
I have now found the BT Music icon but same think happens it will see the Anker and says connecting but does not connect........
Can anyone help me connect the speaker via BT to the head unit please?
Cheers guys
They are generally locked. Most if these units can’t be paired with anything except a phone or a elm327 device.
