Is it just me or do others notice your phone getting HOT when running games in WP7? It starts warming up almost as soon as the app loads and the game starts. What could be causng this?

I used 2.12 for a while, got better batt life, but more dropped calls and bluetooth issues. 2.15 is good now. Bluetooth works great also, internet is blazing fast.

I'm no expert, but in all honesty, I've used pretty much all of the radios offered and can't really tell a difference. Once again, I'm not an expert at this, just telling you my experiences with them.
radios are a thing of there own. one may work better than the other for different people in different locations. you just gotta try them for yourself

I have tried stock, the 2.42 latest, and now the 2.32 Verizon radio. I spend most weekends in a Verizon area roaming, and found the Verizon radio gave me more reliable 3G connectivity. The 2.42 radio while roaming on Verizon dropped out every now and then. When I am back on Sprint, the 2.32 Verizon radio works fine and I don't really notice any difference.
(btw I am hoping I got the versions correct!)
I am getting worse signal and speed after I flash Flipz newest Radio. Is there anyway I can go back to the stock one I had?

Flipz's website. Search, et cetera.
I flashed a new radio and I noticed a big connection increase. Then a newer one came out so i flashed it and it sucked. Then flips released a even newer one, but it was an older version radio and Its been the best radio iv had, huge increase. Me personally just south of dallas can tell a big difference between some of the radios.

I CABed up the new Swype if anyone wants it.

Here is the new Swype from the TMOUS 2.13.531.1 update.
It should just overwrite the old one.
I cant guarantee this will work on any other phone besides the HD2.
Edit: My phone has started freezing randomly after installing this. I'm not sure if it is the cause or not. I would recommend not using it for now, or use at your own risk.
Hmmm..
I love me some Swype.. do you know what changes/improvements have been made?
Thanks for sharing.

It doesn't even drain the battery faster.
I use 2.12 cause 2.14 had a lot of battery drain with my Rom and android build combo. I didn't notice any great reception improvements either. Try it and see what works for you,

My 3G data connection stability improved with 2.14
with 2.10 I have to reset 7+ times a day (switch to airplane mode)
Now less than 3 times a day with moderate usage

2.15!!!!!!!!!! slightly better than 2.14 better voice, signal is stronger and more reliable, and better battery life!!!! search for 2.15!!!!! data disconnects are about maybe 2 or 3 times
Thanks Guys.
2.14 it is then.
Regards
Mark.
I hated 2.15.5 because of the battery drain. I get good reception with all the radios but for my money 2.12.5 has the best battery life.

When you first turn on your phone, you will notice 3 lines of red text. One starts with an R: and next to that is your radio number. Alternatively in WinMo you can find it in the settings at the bottom in the software info!

If you haven't upgraded your radio it'd be a good idea. Better reception and battery life. And yea you could jus read the thread about flashing your first Rom. Or search the forums there should be loads of helpful threads.

Sound too loud in the earpiece
I recently installed NexusHD2-ICS-CM9-HWA V2.7 on my HTC HD2.
I love it.
But sometimes the voice in my incoming calls is too loud. It feels like the speakerphone is on and I cant turn it down to a reasonable level.
I understand the radio is what controls this issue, isnt it?
My current radio is 15.42.50.11U_2.15.50.14. I understand it is the latest in this department.

[Q] Is [MDJ's CyanogenMod 7 v2.6 A2SD+] one of the most stable rom by far?

I've been hearing many people complimenting about [MDJ's CyanogenMod 7 v2.6 A2SD+].
I am a total beginner. So, i am just curious about this rom.
What's makes it worth the talk i am thinking? Or are there any rom that is very outstanding as well?
Honestly, I believe it is quite hard to compare.
Anyone care to enlighten?
I would like to know how they differ from each other.
Any form of help is appreciated, even links to guide.
Thanks in advance.

Its all a matter of opinion....hard to answer your question. The way i pick a rom to try out is...
Look for one that was recently updated
Read the first posts from the developer..your looking for changelogs, and whats working and not working.
Remember the date of the last update....go to the end of the thread and read all the way back to the date of the last update. This will let you see problems other users have found. Decide if these problems are related to the build or user error. Most will be user error. If you dont see a lot of complaints or problems with ...gps, data, wifi or phone turns into a blood sucking vampire then flash it and see for yourself. This is the ONLY way to find yhe best rom for you.
Believe it or not every hd2 is different. They all react differently to setups that are exactly the same. Its weird and hard to explain so just believe it.
2.15 radio
2.2miui stock via cwm
definately one of the most stable & smooth IMO. ive tried quite a few other ROMs and always end up flashing back to MDJ CM7 2.6 good for daily use

I totally agree with the statement above, and while mdj's rom was "stable" for my particular hd2, so are many other roms, its all about your personal preference i would say get clockwork working and make a few nand backups of roms you like and switch off every few days until you find the one for you, but do as you want man, they are all pretty awesome with unique features, i think mdj's build is slightly outdated due to kernel and system breakthroughs as of late... just my personal opinion though, decide for yourself

For .zip roms, you gotta use CWM to install. a little more confusing at first. But you will know how as you read more. For now, try to get use to flashing NAND.
Definitely the most stable I have used.
I have no problems with it and recommend it to beginners,I'm just waiting for a good stable sense Ginger rom down the road
