I was hoping to VERIFY the STEPS before flashing my 2.1 custom ROM to my T-Mobile G1. I have Cyanogen mod 4.2.2. kernel cm42 and am already Rooted. No need for the details on how to execute was just hoping for a quick re assuring overview on the next few steps to a custom 2.1 ROM. Thanks so much..
(Nandroid), Wipe, Flash this, then this. The first link I posted was Firarat's modded CM5T5, which is the same as CM5T5 except thing moved to different partitions so that it fits on non-danger SPL, and the google apps addon. That's all you have to do lol.

Hey i got a motorola Defy that i am trying to root and install icecream sandwhich and having many problems,
i rooted my phone but am having counltess problems installing a bootmenu or cwm so i can flash the cm9 , i cant find any threads or youtube videos or google searches to do such a thing, i would love someone to shed some light to help me , i download odin because a friend told me its the easyest way, but i dont understand how it works , and if i try it the otehr way i have to download and install a major but ton of pointless programs!!! once again any help would be greatly appretited :good:

I am looking for ANY full working ROM that has 3G connectivity which does not have Google Play compatibility issue. It may be JB/ICS or stock, anything.
Could anyone post links and short instruction how to install it?
I have been trying different ROMs but none of them worked as stock 3.2.1.

some time ago a friend at work gave me his old device (xt610) to play with it and try what it can do with custom roms.
Only thing that is keeping me from continue to use custom roms is non-working delivery reports for SMS, which is not working on any custom rom I tried.
I am trying to figure out the issue but didn't had much luck so I started this thread hoping that someone can give me some ideas on what to try.
I attached here some logs while sending sms. There are some main and few radio logcats.
My guess is that the issue comes from ril driver. I tried using several different libmoto_ril.so files from custom roms, stock rom, even few other motorola devices that might be similar to Droid Pro.
Also tried contacting vanillaLVL but haven't got any response.
It would be really nice if I could keep CM7 on this device since it is working very nice and fast aside from this issue.
I will update this thread if I make any kind of progress, but if there is anyone who can help or point me in a right direction it would be most appreciated.
After flashing the new update for the MSMXtended rom I can't see videos. not in youtube, not in netflix, not even in the settings app! I searched the comments of the MSMXtended ROM post and nobody says they have that problem. at first I dirty flashed it. and then I had that problem so I clean flashed it and it still didn't work
Edit: I just flash stock and then clean flash this ROM again
